GM is knocking it out of the park with their design. Much better look for the Equinox. GMC needs to get rid of the vertical tablet on the dash of the Acadia and follow the route of Chevy.
What wouldve been so cool is if they offered the 2.0t thats in the GMC acadia with 228 horsepower as the base engine, than the high output 2.7t thats in the Colorado as the top of the line motor for this as an option, or take the new 2.5t thats in the new traverse and detune it to like 305 for the equinox.
GM is taking a few things from their other models and making it the same across the line up. Which is a good/smart idea as the customer won't have to decide which model to go with. As they pretty much all have the features ie: diver info and infotainment screens. Plus Chevy is borrowing a few design ideas from the upcoming Equinox EV with the column shift and the Equinox being 2 inches wider. But overall this is quite the improvement inside and out.
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada I really enjoyed the video unfortunately I'm disappointed that there was no hybrid option as offered by other companies the 1.5 litre engine should have been given a boost in hp and I'm not a fan of the cvt but the 8spd transmission is a bonus I like the shift by drive on the steering column
I love the new exterior and the new upscale high tech interior but why only one engine choice? What would it take to offer the 228 hp 2.0 Turbo in the RS and Activ, maybe even just the AWD trims with the 8 speed? If they did offer it, this vehicle might rise to the top of the class. If not the 2.0 what about bolting two electric motors to the 1.5 to give it well over 200 hp? We all know GM is averse to hybrids which is a huge mistake because of their obsession to EV's. Lets hope GM comes to their senses and offers more powertrain choices.
I'm interested to see the next gen Silverado, rumors are Model Year 2025. I'm hoping they keep a true column shifter and not go to that wonky looking shifter they have now on other new gen products.
I have a ‘23 Equinox and have had no issues with the 1.5 after one year and 12k miles. Is it a bit sluggish? Yes. But I’ll take slow off a light for 32mpg any day.
I can't believe they got rid of the 2.0 , such a great motor !
My parents are in their lates 60s and my dad bought my mom a 2022 Equinox. It’s a pretty nice vehicle, but it’s small and car like tbh..
It looks really nice and as long as it's better than my 2019 Outlander, I'm all in
Love the new design. Wish it had a more powerful engine though.
I don’t know if I like that CVT transmission.
Get awd it comes with 8 speed auto
Looks Awesome
The CVT will be a sales killer. Huge mistake. Looks nice though. I have a ‘23 and have no issues after 1 year.
needs a V6 engine just saying lol
1.5L no thanks, hopefully the transmissions are better because these all suffered from crappy transmission issues.
Will the AWD be part time like the current Equinox? Run it in front until you need additional traction and switch on the rear.

Looking forward to seeing the pricing
It’s nice but I would wait a year or two for them to fix the bugs. They all have lots in the first generation model change
This design looks like the Trax's mean older sibling, and im all for it. The previous design had a soccer mom vibe without the capacity.
looks like a blazer
Nice looking car. But where's the Sun roof

Are those all wheel drive…. They have definitely improved the little suv… Thanks for sharing!
GM is bring back the 80's bmw cockpit mode

I’m hoping for things like rear camera washer and digital rear mirror availability
It's definitely more masculine looking. I like it.

No CVT transmission for me.
Agree

👍👍
The 1.5 liter motor SUCKS!

@alexanderkennedy2969 hmm, I’ll be looking into that. Ty for the info. Good luck on your ‘24!
I hate the iPad sitting on the instrument panel look.
all those men and women that lost there jobs from canada on this model...so sad
Maybe it's Trudeau carbon tax
STUPID STUPID CVT TRANSMISSIONS..STUPID ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE..STUPID STUPID SCREEN..GM DON'T LISTEN TO THE OWNERS..GM CRAP..I OWN SEVERAL GM CRAP..
Looks like they copied the front of the Mitsubishi.
They all look the same
Boring
