I, too, have the ancient DX8 :). My Inductrix Pro is due to be delivered in two days. This video should help. I set up my switches per your video. I will reverse the throttle cut switch because I use throttle cut (AX1) on all my electrics. Hope it works. There are 3 flight modes per the instructions. I do not understand the “motors running” in mode 2.
Hi qfdforme, the motors running mode is for flipping and such from what I understand. I don't flip so not sure. But when your power diving or what ever, you can switch to that mode, and instead of cutting the throttle all the way off the motors will still be spinning. This way there is no hard start of the motors when you're flipping diving, going straight up and need to cut the throttle. Also, sometimes some quads will disarm if you cut the throttle off, this will also prevent that. Happy flying...
Got it. I bought this little quad to learn FPV flying. No less no more. I have a 2 acre backyard which I fly planes out of but adding VTX to a plane and dropping down a set of goggles for the first time is not by cup of tea.
I did see a video on the DX4e on TY, The guy did get the 4e to work, however he had to hold the bind button in the entire time to fly. You really need 6 channels only because you need a channel to arm the motors and also another one for the 3 flight modes. Maybe time to upgrade?? DX6i's & e's are getting pretty cheap now. The Teranus is actually better than a DX6e, just because of the features and the extra channels. Maybe look into one of them... I know I've been thinking of it...???? :) Cheers!
Hi Allen, yes.... I bought it at a local Fleet Farm store, just like Lowe's or Home Depot... Thing is though, make sure it has the skin on BOTH sides otherwise it will not work. The skin gives the foam the strength. Happy flying
Anyone else having issues with this exact set up (gen 1 dx8). On mine, I wasn't even allowed over to the second position throttle and was stuck with throttle 150/100 for my first flight. Was underpowered and barely able to go above 4 ft. High. After seeing this video and that ut was actually possible to do, I went back in with the drone connected, into monitor screen, brought throttle above the halfway point, then scrolled up to servo setup, at this point I was able to enter the second throttle position bringing it up to 150/150. Flew like it's supposed to now so if you're having this same issue try this and I hope it helps you.
If the video is labelled this way, do you think that people want your life story, see all your planes, hear about the price of bananas in Tokyo, put up with terrible audio, see upside down images and only THEN find out the information they clicked on the video for?

where do you get your blue foam from?
Is that the folding foam from lows?

Helpful, but lots of extraneous stuff that wastes time, like the 'plastic protective film'.
