Your videos helped me a lot! I used to draw heads as circles with various features filled in, but now I think I'm beginning to learn the more realistic way!
@@PaulPriestleyart no problem I’m literally just starting to sketch but people obviously isn’t where a beginner should start so I’m just doing shapes and understanding how shading works. Is there any tips you might be able to give me like for example I’m trying to do a sphere with a shadow?
That is strait forward and very understandable. I am not no arrest but I had drawn a couple of faces. But of course they were pretty good for first time draws, but so off mark. But the are very interesting to look at.
How do we get the three paper "guides" you use. Is there a template we can download? I really enjoy your videos and I have learned many important tips from you. I have had a few courses in drawing and I don't think, I learned as much. Thank you for helping us.
The paper guides I made myself. If you measure the width of your eye, it is half the length of the nose. The nose is half the distance from the centre of the eyes to the chin. There is a proportion here which you can make for yourself. I hope that helps. Really pleased you enjoy my videos. Cheers Paul
The measurements are from your own face, you'll find the cards are in proportion to each other. The size of the nose is twice that of the eye and the measurement from the centre of the eyes to the chin is twice the nose. There are slight variations in every face.
I measured my own face and used the measurements to make the cards. You'll notice the measurements show how elements of the face are in proportion to each other.
The gaps are in proportion to each other as explained in the video. So cut the first gap for the first card, next is twice the size and so on. Cheers Paul
If you watch the video carefully you'll notice that the largest of the cards - as seen in the thumbnail is equal to the distance from the top of my nose to my chin. This is half the distance from the top of my head to my chin. If you want to create similar cards measure your own face and make a card like mine. The other card is exactly half the size. All our heads/faces are of the same proportions. Hope that helps.
I watch this in school and I used to be the worst at drawing faces but now I can draw real people ✍
That's brilliant, well done.

Sir can you plz make me understand the exact proportion of eyes i face difficulty in measuring eye difference
You have to do that yourself. The width of one eye equals the gap between the eyes - approximately.
I really like you using the templets. How can I make them for myself
If you notice 2 is twice the size of 1 and 3 is twice the size of 2. The measurements come from your own face.
Thank you sir, but I have one issue which is I don’t have the cards!!! What do you suggest?
You need to make your own. That's what I did. Cheers
Very nice and simple... But how to make that measurement cards... Can I make that at home..
I made these 2 cards.. one and two.... Bt Don't understand about the 3rd one.. plz help...

How i would measure the width of eye when i have no such paper
Use your fingers.
Sir its very difficult for me to measure the difference lenght and width of the eye because i have no paper for measure
Use your fingers. Use a piece of string. Use your imagination.
@@PaulPriestleyart sir how i can be able to draw my face or someone face realistically in essence perfect potrait how can i be able to do so

My teacher says your her inspiration
Wow, it's great to know my videos are useful. I feel quite humbled. Cheers
Sir, can we use this method to draw a real face of any person ??
This is how you draw a 'real' face
@@PaulPriestleyart ok sir

Good job you didn't fall in the custard just round the corner from the Rhubarb tree.
I don't think you get the fortnite joke there Paul
Sir please give the length of the cards.

What the heck is that even meant to mean? I can't keep up with a thing you're doing! I can draw a better face without your silly video!
An expert like you should need to watch my video.
