That was quite a nice demonstration of what this radio can do. I've still got mine which I bought in 1979. Unfortunately, the VHF section failed a few years ago. I had to replace the SW drive cord many years ago. That was quite a difficult job to say the least.
Interestingly, they also wash the dishes and make excellent coffee. They can dubbel as a pretty effective home defense device too, especially with the whip deployed. All in all, a great radio, no doubt about that.
No mention of what it cost . Or where we can order it from . I had a radio that was similar , but it didn’t cover the frequency range this one does . And really , that’s what I want . Just listening is good enough . I have no need to transmit .

Now that’s an actual awesome radio. Most of the older Grundigs like that were great.

You actually had someone who "isn't" familiar with shortwave radio to review a shortwave radio? This was incredible.
Just got mine, but i suppose it will need a repair because all SW frequencies are not working. Besides, it works perfectly on FM and has great sound.
