- Two students were rushed to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after a collision with a motorcycle on the John Compton highway.
The incident occurred during a risky stunt, captured on CCTV.
A somber mood fell over the Camille Henry School Thursday morning as educators addressed student concerns about their classmates.
The accident has prompted calls from parents for the implementation of a school crossing guard at that very busy John Compton highway/Lanse Road intersection.
Give the driver 10 years NO PAROLE
They have to put him in jail
There should be a penalty for wheelying cause the tyres are for the road not the air

I totally agree with the mom, the school & government show have cross guards to assist students during throughout the school year.

There are options... it can be two speed bumps or a cross over. There is always the temptation to speed on that highway and sometimes you don't even realize there is a pedestrian crossing. I really hope and pray the kids will be ok. I want to have my son attend.. and now I'm having second thoughts. Please get this taken care of ASAP... don't wait for yet another accident like that to get something done.

Something should be done speed-bump traffic lights. Avoid accidents.
The area near the school is a major hazzard. Unless measures are taken to protect the children before and after school, accidents will always happen. Thankfully the kids survived. I pray for their speedy recovery and I hope the authorities take note.
Maybe the authorities can consider building a "walk over" in that area, similar to what obtains near the Sir Ira and Castries Comprehensive Secodary Schools. Such a venture would help save lives on this extremely crazy stretch of road. A "walk over" would undoubtedly benefit the students of the affected primary school who travel by public means to get there as well as employees and customers who have to use that Pedestrian Crossing daily in order to go to their jobs or access services at WASCO and other surrounding business places.
good idea but that kind of won't be possible because it will be obstructing the airport, and they can put speed bumps but it's a highway

It was a matter of time. Now the Police will be all on the streets for a few days then disappear. Allowing the motorcyclist to return to the norm, no helmet , etc.
This is a lawless place I tell ya! The authority's priorities are very misplaced.

Some of these motorcyclists don’t know the Highway Code. They spend too much of their gas/petrol showing off and doing madness.
Motorcyclists in St.Lucia have too much leeway with breaking rules. The law needs to be enforced to further ensure people's safety. The police are part of the problem because they often ignore it, especially riders who don't wear a helmet.
The traffic division of the police needs to earn their salaries,,start clamping down on illegal Road traffic violations.?
