- FYI, all the food in my bag cost about $18 for everything. All of the ready-made stuff was on sale and the things I made are pretty cost effective. I'll be able to eat lunch, dinner and snack for a three day trip for just about what a salad, soda and cookie would cost me at most airports. Nice, right!?! Oh, here's a link to Amazon for the bag! amzn.to/2uvOdPu
Steven, I love how organized you are. But what amazes me the most is that, as tired as you are, you think of making a video at 2 AM! Love your spontaneity👍😎.
Sophie Acapella as a flight attendant 2 am isn't always too late. LOL!
“THEY WERE ON SALE” i died omg 😂
Thanks for sharing what you carry in your lunch bag. I really liked the variety of the meals you prepared and they looked delicious to boot!
Hi Steven, so nice of you to take the time to explain what's in your lunch bag even though it was very late and you were tired. Hope you had a good and restful sleep.
Morninggg! Awesome video - very informative and entertaining 👍🏻- thanks for the tips regarding freezing the beverages and the type of “ ice” you use. Makes sense as you can basically “ mold “ the pacs around the food to keep your food fresh and cold. Maybe you could do a video on tips for food prep- like the different items you cook ? Loved the idea of the mini omelettes made in the muffin tins! Jelly beans ( baby Jelly Belly’s !) are awesome!! 🌞
SuperGman314 I've thought of doing a meal prep video...that sounds fun.
Steven great information!
Valerie Kiser thanks!
I'm trying to watch my weight. *sees Jelly beans THEY WERE ON SALE😭🤣🤣🤣😭🤣😂
Great video. Ignore the trolls. I love jelly beans. Gotta re stock them lollll
This and the last video...Amazing! I need to watch again to take notes. Although, the airline I'm about to train for has us on 19-23 day trips. :O Not sure how that works for food. Going to have to ask the flight attendants. I'm fearful that they have to eat out all the time. Anyhoo, Great vid once again. Thanks, Steven!
Tracy, holy gosh! Those are long trips!!! Goodness! I'd certainly love to know what you find out about packing for those marathon trips. No, I won't be adding music to my videos...I find music (and editing, LOL) a little distracting. I removed the message regarding the music...it felt a little odd to keep it posted.
Steven Pereira I deleted what I wrote about the music. :)
Love the new frames!! And I agree with Tracy---you don't need music, sorry too Fiona! lol
Nancy Asplund the only music I'd add would be the music from Jaws...building anticipation...will Steven keep talking and ever make a point? LOL
Now that's a funny line!!!!! Made my day. xoxoxo
Omg love your Vlogs and I'm not even an FA! lol I did just receive a TBNT from a legacy airline after a F2F but like you, my true passion is in arts and I studied painting at USF. I know a lot of potters I bet we have overlapping contacts!! Fly safe! ✈️✈️✈️
🐻 I had to rewatch this video...I had the eBay lunch cooler, and after rewatching this video, I ordered this cooler and I
L💕VE it!!!! It fits ALOT of food.
Hey friend! I love your glasses. Question have you ever tried stainless steel containers? I use u konserve and I use my hot logic even if I have a microwave! Anyway love your food bag and you too! Fly safe
I have. But if I leave the food in the hot logic or similar device for too long the bottom seems to burn using a stainless steel container. I prefer silicone.
Love your videos. Those chicken breast things are so so good! The broccoli cheese ones are amazing
On your next video, talk about your experience with the IOE after training.
Denise De'shell that's a great idea!
Glass conducts heat much better than plastic and its bpa free. Also glassware does not easily hold on to food stains like plastic ware.
I love using glass for my food containers, but honestly, it can come down to weight. When I use my glass containers my lunch bag can weigh more than twenty pounds! LOL! Well, maybe not twenty, but boy it's a chunk.
Thanks for this! Once I finish my training this is how I plan on packing my food for trips too. I want to stay on budget and not use my per diem if I can avoid it! Question, how do you heat up your boiled eggs? Microwaving then makes them explode lol
I just eat the eggs cold with a little salt.
I love your glasses where did you buy them love them a lot
Those are by a company called Dita. I got them when I was a buyer for a high end optical shop. They are yummy!
great video! how long does this lasts? two days max i presumed
Helmi Caster this food lasted me this whole three day trip. I still have enough for lunch, and dinner today and I'm back home tonight. It was the perfect amount of food.
I thought the same about the Shining room hahah
Just out of curiosity, don't you get a per diem? You can eat for free?
Yes, we get per diem. But there are a few hotels that offer their guests breakfast...and there are a few that our hotel committee has secured breakfast as part of the contract with the hotel.
My question is why do you need to pack your lunch? Is it because you losing weight ? Or you can't eat or drink the food on the flight?
While there may be some food on the plane, it's rarely healthy and you can get really really tired of it. Food, purchased at the airport or hotel, is super expensive. So, packing food is vital to staying on budget.
You need to balance it out
I noticed that when flight attendants show what's in their lunch bag the bag is black. Do the airlines makes you carry black luggage to be in uniform or can your lunch box/bag be any color?
HerInfinitePossibilities hi there. As far as I know, luggage for flight\cabin crew is always black. I think American gives female cabin crew a red Coach tote, but pretty much everything else needs to be black in order to be compliant.
All our luggage and food bags must be black
Steven...I could tell that you were tired because the tone in your voice was lower than usual. Great Video!!!
I like your glasses
Ugh I love meal prepping but my airline (regional airline) sends me to Mexico all the time ! I guess I can leave my food at the crewroom but that’s a lot of going back and forward lol so If I have a mexico layover or turn I don’t meal prep and it’s hurting my damn wallet 😩😩
boiled eggs really hold you over
Hi what is the name of the lunch bag your using ??
I used to use an eBags crew cooler II, but lately I've been using a Mojecto Large cooler bag...don't get the extra large, as it's waaaay to big for anyone I know.
How do you freeze ur freezer packs on layovers??
Sometimes our refrigerators have freezers, but if not I just keep them in the fridge or kept on ice to keep them cold. I keep a very large zip lock bag in my cooler so I can grab ice at the hotel if my freezer packs are thawed.
how do you keep all the fresh food for 4 days? we do not necessarily find ice to put in the bag. I'm afraid of being sick do you eat only what you bring? Are you ever going to eat at the hotel restaurant or outside? Thanks for the video. I have to find solution for me to eat ... and don’t eat the food of the airplane or room service super expensive or if I don’t want to go outside. It’s my problem I don’t eat very well because of this job
My lunch bag is pretty big so I can take plenty of food and PLENTY of ice packs. The refrigerator in many rooms has a small freezer to refreeze them. If not I always have zip locks or other plastic bag to get ice from the hotel...and I'll occasionally get ice from the plane's galley if I need to (and we have enough). Mostly i pack frozen food, that with the ice packs, usually stays plenty cold even on long days. I rarely eat at the hotel or outside restaurants.
Steven Pereira thanks you so much for the answer !!! I have to be more organized for my meals !!
Calories is just for your energy you need calories
This guy is so funny. And his "gourmet" freezer dinners lol. Watching your weight? Make those meals fresh lol
