Everyone always says "I couldn't do it because I'd get too attached" but..... these kids deserve someone that cares that much.
I agree, I think when I hear that, I cringe... feeling those Littles don't get a choice to be treated less. Being strong and unselfish and putting the children's needs before our own is a blessing

As a foster Mum I would be lying if I said it wasn't heartbreaking to say goodbye after looking after precious children for a period of time so we can't expect it to be something others should do especially if one hasn't done it themselves.

I have a son we adopted from foster care. He was taken from a horrible home, but had a beautiful foster home and I will be forever grateful to them for soothing his heart while he was in between
I was a foster child, during the years I was in care I had two very good loving homes. The rest of the 29 homes were horrid and I have C-PTSD due to it all. Thank you for showing kids like me we deserve love too

I can’t believe any adult not being nice to a child that is already without their parents. Very difficult to comprehend. I guess not all people are good.

I grew up in foster homes and group homes and aged out of the system. Most of my experiences were terrible I wish I could have encountered you. I think you're an amazing human!!! I wish I could be a foster parent but emotionally I couldn't handle it so I thank people like you

Zay must have been the" father figure " to his younger siblings. He took to the babies like it was natural for him.
From an huge family..all of we older ones were given this ease with children..and it is a blessing.
I believe Peter was the father figure and Zay was the caring big brother. Peter was most definitely the giver the protector and the provider.
@@deedee2231 They meant Zay's actual younger siblings whom he is currently separated from. I believe he was the provider/protector before CPS originally got involved.
It's rare to see a foster care home this loving. It's supposed to look like this but often doesn't. I lived it many years from 3 month's until I left on my own at 16.
I am in a kinship for my grandchildren now. I pray I make a difference.
Wow, I've only seen loving foster homes in person, and the bad ones I hear about have been the exception. I'm sorry that was your experience.

Deciding to foster or not foster is a very personal choice, but the language of 'I'd get too attached' can be pretty hurtful or even insulting to foster parents. Do you think they get attached less than you? Of course not, and it's a good thing because attachment is exactly what young kids need most. They just decide that the pain is worth it for other things. No one else needs to make the same decision, everyone is unique. But it's quite an unkind thing to say in front of foster parents.
@junbh2 What I said to Peter is none of your business. I am a mother and great grand mother I love and care for many young and old and yes I do get attached to them. God bless those who can be a foster parent.

I had nine children and loved it. I reminisce about raising them. Too many good times!! The good times far out weighed some of the difficult teenage years. I love watching you and your children. The love you give them, they will always remember in their hearts.

I am a retired pre-school teacher..it was my calling..I got attached..my first experience with a autistic non verbal..baby..he was 2 when he came to me..I sobbed..when I put on the bus..knowing I wouldn't see him again..remember I said he was nonverbal..he kept saying something..I finally understood him..he was saying..I love you..I think about him over the years..I hope he's doing well..

We are fosters in CO we just got our first placement 17. He just asked us to adopt him. What a blessing. We did respite for a couple and even that's hard. All the emails we get daily are heartbreaking

I hope and wish the same for you. Suggestion, watch Kim (of Holden it Down, her RUclips channel). She started out fostering and decided to adopt. Just happen that she adopted siblings (years apart). She does a video called (I think it’s called), “I miss them” or “I still miss them”. It gives her heartfelt and tearful story of her experience. Also she has separate videos of her adopting her daughter and another of her adopting her son. God bless and keep you in your journey and decision(s).

They probably don'tknow, and I think that'swhy the kids are always in glasses for a little bit of disguise, because sometimes it might not be safe for them when the birth parents know where they are

I love how he protects their identity he has so much respect for these children. He's amazing. I hope my sister's kids are safe with someone like peter their names were Brielle and Jayden and they were a year apart. I don't know what happened to them my sister won't give me information. I just hope they have the best care and not get abused. I pray for them everyday and hopefully I get to see them again. They were taken from her when they were very young I still don't understand how they were taken but I hope and I pray everyday they're ok. And Skylar and Rudy reminds me of them. Many of us know such sorrow we know that even a little bit of unconditional love is something that stays with children who had a bad start. People remember love. I pray for your love. Crying now but also happy for the little ones that they will be with their other siblings and relatives. But gosh how sad when the van pulled away! And I did hear Skylar say that her mommy is "almost done", I guess with whatever program she had to complete to get her children back with her. OMG. That is going to be a SAD day when Rudy and Skylar leave. I know they miss their mom, but I am going to be crying so much because those two kids are like Peter's own flesh and blood children. Especially Rudy, who is SO bonded to Peter and loves him so much. Anyway, I know that Peter understands how the system works and that he will then be able to take in other children in need, and that's a good thing, so, yes, it will all work out. Love this family so much and shout out to Anthony and Zay for being such awesome big brothers to all the little ones in the household!

I grieve for those children and so many others like them. No sooner do they get a happy home than they are uprooted yet again. I had already formed an attachment to them because of seeing them on the vlogs, so I can't imagine the grief that they must feel to leave first their parents, then Peter, then who knows how it even goes from there. 😥

My belief is any child brought into my home should get the benefit of being loved unconditionally as if born to me even if the state had seen my role as a glorified babysitter. Struggles did not get to determine my commitment. Faith pulled us through at times. I have been blessed with multiple children. Each has been a gift. Each brough some sorrow as they moved on. They will always be part of my life story and loved. I praise God for stretching me to take the risks and allowing me to learn I can handle the potential heartaches.
Stay strong. God's got it. Live to make a positive difference in someone's life.

I was in foster care as a newborn for the first 5 days of my life before I was adopted. Technically I think I was a ward of the state. These kiddos will truly never forget you, even if it’s only the abstract thought of you - the idea that someone chose them, they belonged, and they were carried safely along the path to the next step on their journey. 💙

I really really love how he does his best to hide their identities 🤍 Way too many foster parents on the internet don’t. These are quite likely vulnerable times for them. Seems like such a gentle, loving, pure soul.
It is often a rule. Maybe every agency is different🤔 People should be careful though.

Was the mother abusive? Why were the little ones taken from her? Sometimes there is a case where the mother is sick and can't take care of the children. I was one of those children. After four years my mother was able to come back and get us. Don't judge all the parents who lose their children if you don't know the circumstances, please.
