I know right, fact. I work with Christians colleagues mostly and none of them go to church or read the bible. Even the royal family onlu go at certain events and for press coverage. I'm in the UK and 95% of the people I know are atheist. It seems with every decade that passes fewer people feel the need to believe in religion. We only "celebrate" Christmas and Easter because it's an excuse to get presents and chocolate.

This date is the most celebrated date in the Christian Calendar and the London Coucil should have took this into consideration. It was a deliberate snub to all Christian believers. Well, we took our own religion out of our institutions, such as schools, so that we did not offend those who came here. However, they did not return the favour and, over time, we have turned away from it.

They didn't ask you to take your own religion out of you institutions, and they shouldn't do the same for you, so don't blame them on that, just blame yourself of giving up your religion
@@MuyassarMostafa We do not blame anyone, actually, and we have not given up on our own religion. It was our leaders that did that. In this country we are to supposed to offend. That is where we go wrong. It is time to offend, but it won't happen. But we practice our religion in private. When people come to a Christian country they should abide by the laws and accept them. Not then tell that country what they can and cant do in the name of their religion.
The Muslims of England must see these signs and think, wow, the English are so generous and welcoming. We’re so lucky to live in this country.

I’m a Muslim and I can assure you that’s not what I think!! Born and bred British, I love this country and respect its culture. And I think it’s really amazing how, now, minority faiths can co-exist harmoniously with Christianity here: beautifully-wrapped (and tasty!!) Easter eggs are sold in shops while twinkling Ramadan fairy lights festoon the streets. Christianity and Islam are incredibly similar anyways! We both love and respect all the prophets, including Jesus (peace be upon him!!) - it’s just that we Muslims believe in one more, Mohammed (peace be upon him too!!). :)) ❤️ Please understand that, bar a few extremists that have tainted Islam’s name (don’t worry, we dislike them too!!), Islam is all about peace. In fact, ‘Islam’ in Arabic literally translates to ‘Peace’!! Happy Easter (I’m guessing you are a Christian sister?) 🐣🌸💖
