Out of all the experienced bellydance routines I've seen on here, this one still remains one of my favorites. It's just so entertaining to watch. It's so light and playful and neither the dance nor the dancer take themselves too seriously, which is great. I just adore this routine and its one of the videos I find inspire me to keep learning and practicing because it reminds me of how fun it is (even when I get frustrated with trying to get a move down).
I get so frustrated when people comment on drum solos and say they "aren't sensual enough"....drum solos are meant to showcase a dancer's technique and aren't intended to be sensual!! I think it's quite obvious this dancer was trying to be playful and upbeat, not sensual!!!!

Yes, I am sure that drum solos are meant to showcase technique. Your response was difficult to follow because of your poor English. However, I think I follow what you're saying....I do apologize if the sarcasm slips over your head. A drum solo IS a piece of music, good job there. Yes, strong technique and this dancer's style and use of emotion DO have an impact on the audience. I never said emotion wasn't important, I was simply saying this dance in particular wasn't meant to be sensual. Relax.

Isn"t true a drum solo is a piece of music ? so then isn:t it true u dance on that piece of music because it touched your heart and you feel it and express it back to the audience? so therefore aren"you showing or giving your feelings through ure dance ?but then again who gives a rat's ass about dancing as long as we look pretty,we have choreographies and technik!?
