great review sir ! I picked one of these up this spring to replace my old similar Grundig crank . I wanted something with audio in to connect and Ipod . First off it worked perfectly for usage in the boat . In bright sun it would run all day at moderate volume , radio reception was much better than the older Grundig model with no station drift and much easier to tune in with the digital tuner. But after about our 3rd trip the crank does not charge it anymore .

I kind of hate this video, only because this appears to be a much better EM radio than the one I currently have :)
Great to see a brand new PackRat video out, you do a great job presenting information & I trust your opinion. Part 2 here I come

@rooftopeagle It did work for me so far. I know what you mean, because this is the first time I have had any luck with this feature as well.

@PackRat556 I plan to do some videos on misc subjects, just haven't gotten round to it. My focus is primarily camping stuff. I'll try to put something together in the next couple of months.

Good review... thanks, PackRat; I have been wondering about the quality of these radios. I wonder if it's possibly to run directly off solar-power in a situation where the rechargeable batters eventually fail.
