    Little Switzerland. I love this place and plan to go again sometime. Left a part of my soul there. Like the old Eagles' song: You can checkout any time you like; but you can never leave. Lake Louise and Banff National Parks are incredibly gorgeous.

    In the middle of absolutely nowhere a 7-star hotel pops up on the edge of a pristine lake that is truly aquamarine and you say oh wow ... is this heaven ... nope ... sorry ... it is just but one of thousands of stops into the wonderful world that is British Columbia.

    Absolutely stunning, I'm going to book this place but i'm wondering what the travel is like in terms of getting to Moraine Lake, Peyto, Banff national park etc. I really don't want to hire a car from the airport because it's like an 8 hour drive to the hotel which is near enough the same amount of time it takes to drive from the top of my country right down the bottom so to me that's a crazy amount of time, so I was hoping they'd have decent transport options near the hotel!

    • @lvfreeAdventures
      @lvfreeAdventures  4 года назад +1

      I would actually recommend to rent the car in airport and travel to Lake Louise (2hr from Calgary airport) if you are going to stay there. You can stay in Banff as well which is 1.5hr from Calgary airport and 30 minutes to Lake Louise. Staying in Banff will be cheaper and there is more to do and explore. You will enter into Banff National park just 15 minutes before Banff town. Having car you will be able to see many places whenever you want, and it is as far as you think.

      @@lvfreeAdventures Thank you so much for the heads up, that's certainly opened up a lot more doors for me I really appreciate it! It wouldn't take much convincing for me to consider Banff because I'm really star gazed by the beauty over there as well, I'm from Scotland and I believe we've just recently won the title of the most beautiful country in the world but I'll tell you straight, we've got absolutely nothing on Canada, it seems slightly similar to Scotland except everything is so much more pure, the lakes, mountains, wildlife it's like a hybrid version of us with a beautiful makeover so they're crazy to list Scotland as the most beautiful when Canada should win it hands down! Thanks again for the advice, I owe you one!

      Canadian Homes I’ve been watching so many videos based around the area and it’s honestly like being spoiled for choice , I feel like I’d want to book up for a month away instead, I don’t think 2 weeks would cut it! I absolutely love hikes, being from Scotland all we really have is mountains, lakes and scenery so I’ll definitely check out the trail around the lake!

      I worked and lived in Lake Louise the only year that the staff lived in the hotel. What a huge mistake, they gave the staff, I believe it was the entire 3rd and 4th floor. Great for us, window in my room looked out at the lake. But on quite a few occasions the hotel guests would accidentally get off on one of the floors occupied by the staff. You have to understand the mentality of a couple hundred twenty something partiers. Beer and wine bottles lined the hallways, the smell of weed coming from the rooms. Yep lots of complaints that year. One of the highlights of my life though.
