Agree with you. Those are buko strands. That's what the 'noodles' look like and ,logically, would be found in a tropical coconut and ice cream concoction.
The roofing of the D’Mall stalls are made of nipa (mangrove palms) and not banana leaves. Banana leaves aren’t sturdy and cannot withstand being exposed to the elements.
For breakfast try Sunny Side Cafe in Station 1 or try Cha Cha in station 2. For Instagrammable food , try cafe maruja in Station 3. They are all beach front . For coffee , try Real Coffee and try their calamansi muffin . Try cafe del sol. Try lazy dog in bulabog beach - Vietnamese coffee
Hey Mergim, you’re cool! I like watching your videos and travels around the Philippines! Thanks! But really, it’s “Bo-RA-cay”… accent on the second syllable!😂
I was there for the first time in 1991. It was so pristine and the sands were powdery bluish white like sugar. Every structure was mostly made of nipa and from local materials, and very few. It was so quiet at night and the whole area was iluminated mostly by fire torch.. That was the Boracay i would like to remember. Today's Boracay is..... Garbage!
Hi Mergim, am sure you're having fun in Bo-RA'-Cay (accent on the 2nd syllable not on the 1st syllable). BTW, those rooftops you pointed out are not made of Banana Leaves, they're made of NIPA Palms or Mangrove Palms and others use Cogon Grass. And you mistook the Shredded/Scraped Young Coconuts called BUKO for noodles. Noodles in the Philippines are not in any way ingredients for Sweet Desserts. Have fun!!!
Boko Pandan is like a coconut fruit salad made with buko strips and Pandan flavored gelatin with sweetened milk cream. Buko Pandan is a Filipino dessert.
Don't forget to try newly opened "back beach burgers" for some juicy quality burgers while on boracay. Located in station 1 fronting the grotto. 3rd floor
He's a grinning all over...his Bora journey is worth it....how happy Mergim is on this island.... We're equally enjoying watching your Bora videos, Mergim. God bless❤❤❤❤❤❤❤.
I remember your ferrys wheel ride in MOA where almost tried to touch ax switch on the AC but opted not to anymore as it might complicate and malfunction. You also had a ferris wheel ride in a small town I just couldn't recall. Hahaha
Your laughter is infectious. I noticed it's your favorite to ride a ferris wheel. You are always with a happy attitude and a sunny disposition. Boracay is like Positano Italy with small shops and food stalls. The ice cream is delicious. Missing the foods. By the way you are good at shooting basketball. We are heading to the Philippines for business either this month or May this year. Will surely visit some of the places you recommended. God bless!
you can go for ATV rides, bike rides, horse backriding, etc there
This channel deserve a 100k subs asap...🥳
Those are not dried banana leaves as roof cover. Those are nipa leaves more sturdy than the soft banana leaves.
That is coconut leaves in the roof... Like in the bahay kubo
those are shredded coconuts not noodles 😊 but jst shaped like noodles
I have been following this Boracay series...
Those roof coverings are either nipa, pandan or coconut leaves, not banana leaves.

Mergim -- I think the noodles you saw in the ice coconut bowl are actually strands of young coconut flesh. I could be wrong.
Agree with you. Those are buko strands. That's what the 'noodles' look like and ,logically, would be found in a tropical coconut and ice cream concoction.
Enjoy bro
Good to see you out of city life. Island life is the best

THE'VE IMPROVED D' MALL & MUCH MORE ORGANIZED. ITS GREAT!
The white ice cream is coconut ice cream. If it’s made with coconut milk, then that’s a very healthy ice cream 😊
How fun is that mini ferris wheel! Wish I have the luxury to travel.
The roofing of the D’Mall stalls are made of nipa (mangrove palms) and not banana leaves. Banana leaves aren’t sturdy and cannot withstand being exposed to the elements.

Love the child in you.
You’re a happy, young man.
Nice tropical beach vibe, with a ferris wheel ride. You live simply Mergim and not caught up in tourist shops.
Very Enjoyable Vlog MERGIM! ENJOY YOUR VACATION!!!
Mergim, those roofings are more likely made of nipa, not banana leaves, hihi.
Lower the gates sire and release the hounds, the chairman is conquering Boracay!
Good shooting form! Did not expect that from someone who’s from the UK 😅
That is not a noodle it’s shredded coconut

@@Moon8Sol why?its coconut
@@AteRusV I think she meant if it was actually noodles
@@IxJK_ Yes thank you. It would be so gross if it’s actually noodles with ice cream. Lol

Not too long ago, Floyd Mayweather played basketball shooting there at the same spot where you shot the basketballs. FYI 😊
Very nice Mergim. I was in Boracay in 1985 .It really changed a lot now. Enjoy your time in Boracay 😊.

TRUE PARADISE BORACAY,,oh shoot down basketball impressive talent huh!😅😊👍👍good job .. ❣️
I don’t know if this issue has already been addressed: there is no comfort room in Dmall! Also no garbage bins.
Pandan used in making "Bayong" (the one you saw in Laguna) is different from the pandan used in food flavoring.
I thought they are the same. But the one they use for flavouring are the small young ones. The big older ones are for weaving.
@@rexcapades7489 It's a different variety of Pandan.
I see. But i guess they belong to the same Pandan family.
@@rexcapades7489 Yep! It's just that the one used for weaving is a non-edible genus.
Enjoy your boracay staycation mergim wish 100 k subscribers by next month take care always.👍✌🙏😍😄🇵🇭
The roof are not made banana leaf it’s actually made of palm leaf that is growing in salt water
In my province we call it “NEPA LEAF “
Or it can be coconut leaf
Enjoy Boracay
It’s not banana leaves but made of nipa leaves the roof of the stores. That is the common roof of houses in the old days usually in the provinces.
I love boracay at all time
Don't forget to try newly opened "back beach burgers" for some juicy quality burgers while on boracay. Located in station 1 fronting the grotto. 3rd floor
that ice cream bowl is a very organic biodegradable idea
No inhibitions at all, down to earth guy & that's one of the most traits I like you mergim you're such a wonderful man!!!
Mergim, you seem so happy in Boracay. Maybe you should consider moving there.

Great Boracay place!
Amazing
Loving the Boracay adventure
So different now… been wanting to return to see all the updates. Electric tricycles, etc. Too bad, we just heard they’re allowing loud parties again.
Those are not noodles but grated coconut from the shell you had.
Your laughter is infectious. I noticed it's your favorite to ride a ferris wheel. You are always with a happy attitude and a sunny disposition.
