It was lovely seeing you folks in London again!~ I think there were a bunch of cosplay meet-ups happening on the Saturday, I think that's why it might've been quieter? I was gonna go Saturday too but disasters happend 💀 Hope you guys had an amazing time! 💙💜
Another lovely con video!! I’m so happy you’ve been uploading again. You know a lot of my art friends have been having the same issue with profits at cons. I think it’s just with the political and economic climate right now people are scared to spend money on things they don’t really need and if they do they really want to be sure about it. I’ve felt it in my online shop too, as have other artists, and it does make you doubt yourself, but when I look at my own spending I’m penny pinching too. Times are tough for a lot of people. It’ll get better, just we all need to adjust. I love watching you though for this reason- you’re honest, positive and don’t indulge in toxic productivity. I’ve had to stop watching some people because unlike you, they don’t listen to their bodies and are just going completely insane on camera to a point of a breakdown and I can’t support that. We all need to rest! We all need to take breaks! I almost fell victim to it as well watching them and thinking I need to do that too. I’ve watched others stretch themselves way too thin buying warehouses and now are biting the bullet when things have shifted the other way. But now, I have boundaries like not working after a certain time, making sure to stretch and limiting myself on the weekends.
Thank you for such a lovely long and heartfelt message! I agree, the current climate we are living in is more expensive to just exist in and survive, let alone treating yourself to cute things at cons and non necessities. I used to push myself and overwork myself for the first few years of my self-employment and start of my business and it was very damaging, I just couldn't keep up with it anymore. Being chronically ill especially means that I need to listen to my body and understand its limits and not take the piss with that! If I overdo it now then I won't be able to work at all and that's too scary of a risk for me to take 💜 Money is nice but it's not everything! Mental and physical health is more important ✌️ thank you for your support 💖
