If you see them touring, the usually have around 9 members. And they do go on tangents, but when somebody starts on one they all jump in. Very little ego with this band. When you look at their expressions it seems they all love what they are doing together.

@@a-benmusic yes, Larnell, JT and Jamison plan out who is going to play on which phrase. They never play together. They trade off between each other. It sounds like one drummer playing, because it actually is only one playing, even though they have three.
There are some good documentaries about them. It’s crazy how they learn practice and record all in one day, and no sheet music!? Good interview I found on Larnell too!
