Sir, my general rank is 7652 and obc-ncl rank is 1843. I calculated my marks to be 102. Based on rank I don't get a seat in IISER TVM but based on marks,it is possible. How is this possible sir?
My dear friend, marks are not the criterion, rank is the final criterion, marks are just used for prediction of rank, but after ranks are given, then marks has no importance.

IISER aren't mainly for placements. Although some students do get placed at 8 to 10 lacks per annum.
Most students go for PhD and higher studies.
