NOTE It is illegal to hike down to the beach where McWay Falls flows onto, because it is very dangerous to climb down. In fact, I almost slipped to my death when hiking out due to a tripod coming loose from my backpack - AND I did get a $400 ticket from the local park ranger as well. I have an intimate connection with this place. Having explored the Big Sur Coast since the late eighties. Hiking and backpacking the Ventana Wilderness there in the Santa Lucia Mountain range and the Los Padres N.F. A land of timeless natural beauty, where the mountains meet the sea at the continents edge. Thank You for highlighting this California hidden gem, a true State Park treasure. Loved the rare unique angles of the footage that you were able to take here.
Yes! I miss California! This little beach is now on my bucket list. Praying that the Lord Jesus will make a way for me to visit on a fabulous weather day. 😃 7:27:30 is in my heart and mind tonight.

In 2007 I was taking a break on a Sunday Spring and had Sketched this place site unseen, and never hearing or knowing it existed. Right down to how the overlook of the cove looking out to the angle of the McWay Falls relative to the beach. Without the rock formation in front of it, had put an 1800's sail down battleship. In 2016 was looking for Waterfalls to explore, and this came up. I couldn't believe it existed, if you notice to the left its an image of a Waterfall in Southern California. Thank you for such an awesome presentation I plan to visit next Spring, in 2021, the storm in 2017 wiped Highway 1, and wanted to drive my 2016 Mustang there. Had a job and couldn't take vacations. Now it's been 1 month without pay, and no unemployment benefits, either, got furloughed. Hopefully, will be able to visit, this wonderful location.
