RIP Bob Heil

DEKT uses Heil microphones and Heil's factory is very close to the DEKT world. Bob was a real audio and radio pioneer and responsible for a lot of the live music experience of the last 50 years. Livin' on a Prayer? That's Bob. Dead's Wall of Sound? Bob. The Who's Quadrophenia, that's all Bob, Frampton Comes Alive in '76? Bob. DEKT's albums, also Bob. lol. Really down home sort of fellow. Really interested in the science. Talked to him a number of times. Wished I had talked to him more. He sold microphones to DEKT half price, factory-direct. :) Sad loss.

Bob Heil gave Rush Limbaugh the golden EIB mic. Along with the late Art Bell when he founded Clear Chanel Communications." Currently I Heart Media NBC Xfinity Cable a combination of Telos cable and Comcast Cable". The mic, given to him was the very first 24K gold plated PR-40 mic.. Which is a versatile general purpose broadcast, recording, and communications microphone. RIP Bob.
