    I have a new 2024 pinnacle 36FBTS scheduled to be built this Thursday Aug 31st. They have a new Vintage Farmhouse interior decor, which you showed us on the video, the other one is Modern Farmhouse, almost the same with a white fireplace facia and a few other trim pieces in white. New standard under sink dishwasher like you mentioned, new Polar White hi gloss gel coated fibreglass exterior IPO current Champagne fibreglass, New ABS (anti-lock braking system) standard, 8k Dexter Axles on all larger Pinnacles, New Standard (3) 40 lb LP bottles ( optional before with Gen Prep Pkg ). This is my fourth Fifth Wheel, we are snowbirds and do extensive travelling since we are retired. After doing extensive research, we decided on the Jayco Pinnacle, hope we don't have any major problems on this one ( fingers crossed). Like you, I do most of my maintenance and am a big fan of your channel. Thank you for the great info, Daniel

      Wow, great info. Thank you for sharing. That is helpful to know about the color scheme. So, it sounds like the other color pallette is even lighter with less dark wood if I'm understanding correctly. I did not know about the standard ABS or 8K axles, thanks for adding that. Jayco really has a lot of features to offer. I hope all goes well with your build! Congrats!

    if you scored this year would it be higher than 76 or lower? Have you been able to see one yet? Why still 16" H tires, increase CC by 500lbs why so little, Did they upgrade or secure underbelly better, which to new AC brands, I wonder is CRE4000 is the same as the Road Armor? I know IS is the best way to go long term thanks

    • @AdventureRocks
      @AdventureRocks  Год назад +1

      Yes, I think it'd probably be a few points higher on the new 2024s as they have addressed a lot of the other deductions in my 2-year review. It's my understanding that still secure underbelly the same way...which is one of those hidden details that hardly anyone talks about so I don't know that it'll change anytime soon. But, if you've ever had mice, bugs, etc. in your RV or seen at your RV resort then it becomes more important. Interestingly enough, even the new B****** brand does an almost identical underbelly compared to Jayco, whereas most other brands do an outside mount with strip to secure to I-beam. Anyway, there's no perfect RV brand, but Jayco gets so many things right and has a history of good engineering that I think it's a great choice. Mike and his team do a great job listening to the customer. The new master bedroom closet layout in the 24s is super smart and looks amazing.

      @@AdventureRocks yes sir, 100% agree with you and if more people would push back and help direct them to build them better/stronger then I think more people would own RV's, even at lower price points they can build them better. I have been watching some very interesting detailed videos on how each brand to running wires/plumbing. Wow what a difference when you look inside that mess of wires

    Boring interior, reminds me of a sterile Hospital setting. Island and fixtures are super simple and could easily be found in the Eagle line. Glad to see they got rid of the outdated tan/brown exterior though.

  • @darrinhiebert

    I had not seen these inside pics, but had seen the exterior white color.
    I'm not a fan of the white exterior, but for some reason, the industry seems to be going that way. I just thought that the tan color set the Jaycos apart, and just looked richer.
    As for the interior, I only see one thing I like, and that's the front bedroom LAYOUT. But the OVERUSE of white does not impress me. We really like the Modern Farmhouse in our 21, and it WAS the reason we bought one. The use of the darks and whites really set that thing off. The bathroom in the prior gens had ZERO storage, and somehow they made this LESS!!! As for the "simple" trim, not a fan of that either. We get a TON of compliments on the interior trim with the crown molding. That just screams "home" and luxury. The white BOARDS scream cheap to me, no matter quality the finish is. I don't think you could actually sleep in that bonus room. Even with the lights off, that room will glow with all the white in there.
    I think that they made some good improvements like the standard dishwasher, the switch for the cameras, possibly the air fryer-micro combo, jury's out on the stove, as we ABSOLUTELY love ours. I'm not for sure that could be improved on, but maybe. But they missed still missed the mark on things like the roller shades. They are absolutely TERRIBLE! They look good, but are junk. We have broken 5 of the 13 in less than 2 years of ownership, and I'm not replacing them with the same thing, because they are outrageously expensive to buy aftermarket.
    But, at the end of the day, I don't know who's copying who, but go and look at the Brinkley models. All white exterior, all white interior with simple trim. I thought you were in a Brinkley for a minute. It appears to be the way that the RV market is going unfortunately. A lot of homes are very white now too, so maybe that's where it's coming from...

    • @AdventureRocks
      @AdventureRocks  Год назад +1

      Great points. I have noticed Brinkley RV has gotten a TON of publicity over the last year...probably set a record in the guiness books if there was such...press has been very favorable to them. Could it be that leadership for other RV brands took note of the mere volume of publicity that Brinkley RV got and equated that to changing buyer preferences and buyers approving of everything Brinkley RV is doing, and thus have reacted by mimicing some of their elements in fear of falling behind? And, not to discount what Brinkley RV is doing (as they are doing a lot), but at the same time a high volume of publicity doesn't necessarily equate to RV buyers approving and preferring the features incorporated into Brinkley RV units. I have noticed some of their feedback collected is from people that aren't in the market for an RV or will never buy one of their units...more just admiration. And again, I'm not trying to be harsh on Brinkley as their innovation is great for the industry, but in the end I can see how it is tempting to get "wrapped up" into the hype of something new and different before letting it settle and really objectively evaluating it as a whole. There's always room for constructive feedback, even with a great product. So you make a good point about Brinkley...definitely have to take a double take with some of the new changes brands are incorporating that seem to mimic Brinkley RV.

      Forgot to mention I've had some issues on my roller shades too...surprisingly my dealer through Jayco covered complete replacements on mine under warranty...even though it was just the spring mechanism inside that needed replacing, they did the entire shade. But, prior to realizing dealer would order replacements for mine I investigated buying just the mechanism direct from Irvine Shade & Door (www.irvineshadeanddoor.com/support/replacement-parts/). I believe they were $20ish or so ea depending on the size...had to call in and do it over phone. Wish they were a bit more durable as I try to be gentle with them.

      @@AdventureRocks My comparison of Jayco to Brinkley, was probably a little bit overstated as well, but Brinkley is the hot button right now. I should have said, that it appears that the industry as a whole, is going to the white exteriors and the whiter interiors with very little color contrast or color contrast that is in the same color zone. I actually did go look at some of the Brinkley's again, and while they have a really white interior, at least some of their trim is an off color, a light gray or a beige. The whitewash of the Jayco, is just a lot!
      We have not seen a Brinkley yet, but I do agree that the hype is probably overstated a little bit by the media outlets in general. While they may be doing some good things over there, I still think that they are new, and I have seen some comments that they will go the way of Grand Designs. We were not in the RV market when Grand design started, but from what I've read they had very much the same thing that they were the end-all-be-all. We looked at a GD when we bought our Jayco, and we're not impressed.

    • @darrinhiebert
      @darrinhiebert Год назад +1

      @@AdventureRocks when it comes to Brinkley though, if you go look at the way that they're doing shades, they should technically never have any issues with their design. While I love the roller idea, they are just temperamental. Reminds me of the old vinyl roll-up shades that were on a wooden dowel. They would roll up really fast, but at the end of the day they always went up and down. Someone took a good idea and said let's make that really cool by making it go slow, and then the wheels fell off.

      I hear you! I had the same concern. I was noticing the extra aisle space there and it does look like a good 6" or so less footprint compared to previous dual sliding door closet setup. But, I do wonder if the new closet layout more efficiently utilizes the space with less dead space in the end? I'd love to see it in person to get a better feel for it. Definitely a valid concern as a full timer.

      @@AdventureRocksThe up front bedroom, was one of the very first things that I noticed with the new Jayco. I showed my wife that setup, and we talked about it quite a bit. And while we are not full-timers, I really think for the way that we can, that would be a really slick addition. We have a lot of space up there for the way that we can that we can't really use...
