I just watched the video with you and your honey! You two were so adorable. Your love for each other and your humor was infectious. Listening to your accents made me think of my grandmother and her siblings and our uncle Hans from Germany. We always ended every visit with uncle Hans playing polkas on the harmonica. These paper doilies are so cute. Reminds me of the “snowflakes” we use to make as children. And I always love using ruffles. These just turned out beautiful. ♥️♥️♥️
Hi Luise, this project really touched my heart; the handmade doilies and the gorgeous little woodland creatures underneath the mushrooms. I guess it's childhood nostalgia. I also liked your playful approach; "WABI-SABI" (the beauty in the imperfect) and one more thing...I love that you just stopped in your tracks when this idea hit you and you just had to try it out!

Oh this reminds me of what we would do as kids😍 We would cut all kinds of shapes! Such a nice idea to use in art and junk journaling!❤️
I don't have die cuts or punches with scalloped edges but after a bit of experimenting I managed to cut a scalloped edge with my scissors. After folding the 'kite' shape I didn't only cut the top triangle off but also cut two semi circles into the triangle so you get a narrow heart. When you fold it open you get a nice scalloped edge!

@@luiseheinzl Hi Luise, I found journalling after I was no longer able to work, I'm 51 and have cancer in my bones and was told I had 12 months to live, that was 24 months ago, but without being able to work I get bored very quickly. Being able to journal has filled my time and given me a hobby, something I was always too busy to have. You have beautiful designs and you should be very proud of your design team and of course yourself and never feel ashamed or embarrassed because you don't know a word in English, always be proud that you have the confidence in yourself to make videos in both English and German.
