Started out with Medtronic and their Silhouette infusion set using the inserter. Used the inserter for years and loved it. One could vary the angle and with a button push, the infusion set was in. When I switched to Tandem I went with the Verisoft infusion set. Did not care for the manual insertion very much. I did find by slightly modifying the Medtronic inserter I could insert the Verisoft set. Used it for several years until something changed. Perhaps the inserter was wearing out from years of use but quite often the insertion needle would get bent at the insertion site and made it near or even impossible to remove the inserter needle. After ruining several insertion sets I went to strictly manual insertion. Miss the inserter but you do what you have to do.
Being a guy I do use the 23 inch tubing. I tried the longer tube and it was just too much tubing to deal with. When using the bathroom I remove the pump from my belt and place it on the waistband of my underwear. We humans can adapt!! Interesting topic today.

I would love to hear more info on 90-degree sets having more tunneling and worse absorption, because that seems so contrary to my own experience and what I've heard from others.

If u have Gary on again which is pretty likely and knowing u talked about infusion sets and their cannulas today, I would like u to ask & talk about the itchiness, skin irritation, or rashes that could occur with the adhesive patches of these devices such as the infusion sets, Omnipods, the Libre, & Dexcom due to the action of wearing one or both patches.
It could be something in the adhesive and someone like me might worry if these adhesives of any of these contain Latex which is my allergy.
I’m Not diabetic myself but as someone who watches and knows that T1D could happen to anyone at anytime not just in childhood or adolescence of which the term “juvenile” implies
the adhesive in all of the above is my major concern especially the CGMs because anyone with T1D needs to wear a CGM and no one wants to check their blood sugars via the fingerprick long term but, can have a choice of using a smartpen or pump for insulin delivery.

I'm using the extended set from Medtronic. For the first few months, 6 days was my max. The area around the canula would get pretty red, itchy, didn't feel right, so took it off on day 6. I can now do 7 days. Have only had one come off and one partially. A single occlusion issue requiring replacement.

I know u prerecord these videos but maybe because I brought up the possible issues that could arise from the adhesives and my latex concern you should make a clip if you see this before the part 2 of this week’s topic of infusion sets and incorporate it into it as a clip of editing Justin”. I see that sort of added in in other videos posted here on RUclips.

The Autosoft 90 is a no go for me. This is after using them for years. There are better insets then these.
