    Hey buddy, that ration looked like it was packed with goodness!! The breakfast looked like the winner to me. I think the whole ration looked great!! Thanks as always for sharing!

      I would agree. The breakfast was definitely the best of the 3. Thanks for watching buddy!!!

    Thanks for the shout-out. I might have sprinkled a little bit of sugar over the breakfast portion. The crispy parts are the best. Nervous of lamb liver, but looking forward to horse meat. 😂 I've never had goat, that I know of. A couple of days ago, you could have found some at a bus garage in Ohio. Everything looks pretty darn good. Nice review, bud!

    Man, you ration reviewers have it rough. These rations do all kind of things to your stomach. I feel for you guys, but I also envy you guys. Is the payoff worth it? I'd love to be able to eat as many as you guys do. My stomach couldn't take it. So my hat is off to you for a great job.All I can I say is "LUCKY" Great review brother❤😎

      These 24 hour rations are rough man! I definitely don't like eating more than 1 ration per week. But these 24 hour ones make that difficult! They're my favorite to review though. Thanks for watching Chris!! I appreciate it 👍👍

    My Father was born in Germany in 1945, rough period. But he's mentioned horsemeat to me several times and assures me it's great, but less fat than beef so it's not as tender and it has a stronger flavour (like Kangaroo?, LOl). Unfortunately, horsemeat isn't really in our food supply chain anymore so I haven't tried it.

    • @jermsMRE
      @jermsMRE  6 дней назад

      I'm still not exactly sure there was horse meat in this 🤷 Sure seemed different but whatever it was, it was fabulous! Thanks for watching Karl!!

    • @TheCotzi
      @TheCotzi 6 дней назад +1

      inn germany its still a thing to ea for christ mas as a "sauerbraten" something like a sour roast and it has nearly 0% fat and u have to marinate it in milk or buttermilk 24 hours to get rid of the urin taste then u can marinate it with spices

    • @karlp8484
      @karlp8484 6 дней назад

      @@TheCotzi I'm an Aussie, so I suspect with horsemeat, like Kangaroo and all lean meat, you basically have two options. Opposites. Cook it quickly so it doesn't dry out as a thin steak. Or low and slow in a stock like sauerbraten.

    • @TheCotzi
      @TheCotzi 6 дней назад

      @@karlp8484 so it is quick or low and slow

    • @karlp8484
      @karlp8484 6 дней назад

      @@TheCotzi Either is good. A thin quickly cooked steak, or a pot roast. In between and you end up with shoe leather. Like I said the two options are diametrically opposite to each other. If you try and pan fry/BBQ a very lean meat like Kangaroo like a normal steak, that's a rookie mi(steak) . It needs to be thin and fast, or potroast. That's it.

    Looked like an interesting ration. Kinda sucks they removed the stove though. Thanks for the video brother

    • @jermsMRE
      @jermsMRE  5 дней назад +1

      Yeah, they removed the stove and the candle?? Wonder if the seller thought that might not make it through customs?? But no biggy. I would prefer using the stove anyway. Those fuel tabs stink up the place!! Thanks for watching brother!!

    Right on Jerms, a wild 24 hour ration to review! Kudos to you for not being afraid of the horse meat and that Mongolian milk tea. That tea is definitely unlike anything we’d have for sure! Horse meat always reminded me of beef with sugar added. But only had it overseas years ago. Thanks for another great review!

    Civilian question: how are the various MRE menus allocated? Does everybody get issued one of each or is it more of a random thing? I imagine there is a lot of trading/bartering that goes on between soldiers for the most popular ones.

    • @jermsMRE
      @jermsMRE  5 дней назад

      Not having been in the military, I am not sure exactly how they're handed out. But you can bet there is lots of trading going on! Thanks for watching!!

    Very cool friend. Very few of these have been reviewed. Nice to see something different. I have never seen anyone deglaze A pan on an MRE review! Certified first time. All meals looked good, and review was interesting. Same drinks every meal would get old fast, only drawback I saw. I am glad you enjoyed most items and had some fun. Peace, John. PS., still enjoy out takes.
