I was running Cloud Red Aerith at around 96k with Debrave and I could survive until Short Fuse, but would lose due to low damage. Aerith using Nightbloom just wasnt enough DEF down. Swapped Red for Tifa with Kaiser and Leather gloves. Even though this dropped me to 80k power, MDEF down lv3 was enough for a magic-built Cloud to carry the DPS. So if you're dying at Short Fuse, make sure you have a weapon that lowers PDEF or MDEF.
Tifa’s leather glove carried me through this. I only have the norm 5 star (patk down mid) and seitched to tifa when iron giant buffed his patk and tifa quickly got his patk down to high very fast
I think they increased the difficulty as I'm level 55 150k power and level 90 70 percent weapons also 6k health except aris as she has 5767 so plus level 4 materia and there subsets plus level 55 all 3 characters so explain to me how your 88k power and not that good anything 🤔 best him??????????? Best I ever did out of 15 runs was 1 hit left but cloud died before he could attack. Edition. I did it and it was because of the catalyst Tifa lol 😆 😂 🤣 😅 All I needed was that summersault move lol
Took me a while to finally beat this one. I was pretty unlucky with physical attack down weapons, and by unlucky I mean I didn't have a single weapon that could do it 😂 I mained Matt and got slick beetle recently and that was what helped me get over the hump to beat this boss. He just hits so hard 😂

Honestly I'm shocked the devs gave us the Debrave materia from story. They could have easily not, and forced us to have a weapon with the attack down debuff, so kudos to them.

It is lost sadly. There are several weapons though that give physical attack down. I got rid of mine as well 😭 I used slick beetle on Matt and it worked just fine
There are different potencies: low, mid, high (and higher). Low is 1 stack, mid is 2 stacks and high is 3 stacks. When you check the description of a buff/debuff ability it tells you the potency first (low, mid or high) and then it tells u the maximum potency you can stack with that ability (low, mid or high). For example, debrave is low potency, max potency low. That means it gives 1 stack of PATK down to the enemy unit and that it is not effective if that unit already has 1 stack of PATK down (but it does extend the duration of the debuff). As for the new Aerith's weapon (the Sun Umbrella), it is low potency PDEF MDEF down, with mid max potency. That means you can apply 1 stack of PDEF and MDEF down, but once the enemy unit has 2 stacks of PDEF and MDEF down, it is not effective (but it does extend the duration of the debuff).
How come your cloud has 34214 pwr? My cloud lvl 50 all growth unlocked Lvl 90 murasame (0 overboost) Lvl 90 2nd sword ( 3 overboost) 3 lvl 10 materias And my cloud has 34k flat pwr lol
@@liampiper1043 I mean my materia has rather good stats and get that extra %20 from matching with weapon slot or however you call it,ain't just a random lvl 10 materia :D I'm really confused I've seen some lvl 40s with like 40+k pwr ,I really don't understand how lol the only thing I can think of it's overboosting weapon,but I have one full pink and one full red and it's not significant pwr increase
You also have to look at what weapon stats provide what increase like heal boost attack boost ect. If you have enough point in those increases you pwr will change exponentially.

Literally beat it underpowered by 30% wasn’t that hard for some reason, sorry guess seeing everyone yeah I used tifa with leather gloves that’s probably why I managed well underpowered
@@danzoEX if youre certain you got everything from cc you may have accidentally used it to level up another materia, if thats the case you cant get it again. youll have to wait till they add a way to obtain its recipe

i did all story from final fantasy 7.. crisis core and im at first soldier after the main chapter 2

On floor 40, you want Ifrit lvl 5 Summon Skill whichever skill it is. So if you have extra stamina, get your summon skill up slowly.

Probably because choice of materia is much better than just putting whatever "beefy" ones you have
