you can lock the gimble from tip 1, by holding the front button, then double tapping on the Rs3 screen, this will lock it without you having to hold down the button.

Fun fact: You can invert the gimbal simply by putting the gimbal into sleep mode, inverting the handle, then waking up the gimbal

Super useful! Still rocking my RS2 and that's more then enough though.
The RS2 is still a great gimbal. As long as your camera and lenses fit on the RS2 and you don't need that slightly longer arm, it should serve your needs for a long time. Thanks for the comment and have a great day!

The setting focus point (#6) is amazing! But I think it does not work on most of lenses due to the fact they are digitally controlled focus right? You would need a cinema lens to make it work
For the crane type shot, what grip do you have to add DJI /RS3 in this video?
How can you use to focus motors you can use the dial on the front of the handle for one and I bought an additional focus motor to attach onto the side of the handle but there’s nowhere in the menu where I can get it to work it lights up but it doesn’t do anything

I bought the additional dial that you can add to the side of the gimbal so you can have a dial for focus and a dial for zoom but I can’t get it to work and there doesn’t seem to be any instructions. Do you know how I can have that external dialfor Zoom and the one on the Gimble handle for focus

Can you do a video video setting up the Lair on the Ronan RS three pro because there’s no information on how to plug in all the various cables and into what port and then how do calibrate the lens so that the lighter system will actually work there’s no nothing in the manual. There’s no RUclips videos on it. Everybody shows stuff with everything already plugged in and going at no help, we need a step-by-step, plug cable and then plug this cable in this port and then turn on and calibrate in this way, etc. etc.

Have you ever tried using the LiDAR and raven eye at the same time? Or have you had any extensive use on the LiDAR system with the rs3. I’m currently using the LiDAR and would love to see your perspective on it.
I'm actually looking at buying the LIDAR sometime in the next few weeks, but I haven't gotten the chance to play with it yet. Thanks for the comment and have a great day!
@@DeafDirector it’s actually pretty phenomenal. Once calibrated the follow focus is super accurate. The only thing that I haven’t quite figured out is how to get it to work with raven eye as assigning focus to a subject works on the little screen with the RS3 but would love to be able to do that on a larger screen. I guess the alternative would be to move up to the DJI transmission.
@@myidentitydisorder The biggest criticism I have heard about DJI and the LIDAR system is that it doesn't work with the RavenEyes at the same time, which is a major bummer. Once I get it I'll be trying to figure out some workarounds for that. Have a great day
@@DeafDirector if I beat you to it, I’ll let you know a work around… so far all attempts have failed. Buuuut two heads are better than one so maybe you’ll find something I didn’t. Either way, DJI should unlock the option unless done on purpose so that you move up to transmission which I haven’t tried yet.

Is it also possible if your camera (fujifilm xt2) does not have Bluetooth (only wifi) and you want to connect it to a DJI RS3 to also get a separate Bluetooth transmitter?
This is not an area I have any real experience with. I would think it is possible, but I recommend checking around. Have a great day!

Bonjour peut ont utiliser active track sur le RS3 sans le téléphone juste avec l écran de contrôle du RS3 téléphone éteint ?
Vous devriez pouvoir utiliser ActiveTrack sans le téléphone sur le RS3, en utilisant votre écran LCD à l'arrière du RS3. Balayez vers la gauche dans le menu principal et vous devriez avoir accès à un écran ActiveTrack. J'espère que ça t'aidera et passe une bonne journée !

The RS3 button in the front when you hold down does not appear to lock the pan at all, at least mine doesn't.
Same did you find out how to do it?
What bothers me the most is, screen lock turns itself off if you restart. I am moving and shooting and power down a lot. I NEVER want the screen to be active. Every freaking time it boots I have to lock the screen again.

Bluetooth is not worth it because it drains the camera's battery too quickly
So disappointing that a 4K plus canon r5c does not have Bluetooth in the body. Incredible actually. Bad Canon, bad Canon!!!
