Well, as far as the scan n cut goes in my opinion. Save your money. I wanted it to do exactly what you said. I tried over and over, I never could get it to work. Too much needing to know how to calibrate the cutting. I assumed it would read it and cut, oh no, I had to program it where to cut and what to cut. Not for me. I finally gave it away, along with all the extra blades and mats I had purchased. Just my opinion, I’m sure there will be a lot of people saying how wonderful it is, too much work for me, I could’ve fussy cur several pages by the time I got it to work. 🤪 On a lighter note.. I’m enjoying your series this month, lots of great ideas! Love Gustav ❤️
Another gorgeous page in Gustav! He is definitely another masterpiece. I really like the set up with your new desk. I definitely would love to have one of those desks that go up and down. I have several discs that are damaged and herniated. I find myself often standing up to craft. But my desk is lower and that causes my back to hurt as well. 🤷♀️ Anyway, so happy to see that you are taking care of yourself. It is obviously helping you be happy and creative! Love and light ❤️🤗
I may or may not have done a happy dance when I watched Toni use your kit the other day. It turned out so beautifully that I'm sure you'd have the same level of success and fun as she did!
The desk you have is used in many offices, it’s so much better for us not to sit for 8 hrs straight 40 hrs a week or more. Love how you use your digital kits. Very creative and inspiring. Have a good day
Hi Margreth, yes, I definitely think you should give your new kit a go and make the floppy, floppy, thingies like Toni did. I love today's page! I have a memory board like that hanging in my living room. Please don't overdo it. TFS 😊
Vision board? That’s what we call it, fun project what a good idea. Our daughter had one of these while in college. By the way loving the new digital. I had a Cricut and sold it. Then I was able to buy a brother scan and cut from Facebook market place that was never used I like it for cutting ephemera. I’d stick to a cutter and ruler. I always just cut it myself.
The memory board is just fantastic. 😍 Also I'm really grateful you gave us a glimps of how your space looks. My feed has been crowded with organizing videos and I already started to feel like I'm the only one who has a craft space at first glimps looking like a heap of junk put in boxes. Well, it is but there's a system to the crazy. 😅
Love your page, very creative! I have a Brother scan and cut and I love it! It scans my printouts and then cuts them out. Only drawback is the sticky mat seems to lose its stuck quickly. But it is east to use. And easy to understand.
I have a Cricut maker 3 and I really like it. It does fussy cuts well. The only time it has white boarders is for stickers. I change the blade once a year and the mats need to be changed depending how often you use it to cut.
I love your creative mind, always something new and refreshing, thanks for sharing, enjoy your day, glad you are feeling better, big hugs to the cats🤗🤭🤭
Sorry about your disks, sending gentle hugs and healing energy ❤ l love watching you work you are amazing. I GET SO MANY ideas you are a good teacher with a fun personality. Thank you sweet lady❤
love this project. I call this a Memory Board and use it for photos also for any papers (small) that i don't want to misplace. I think it is a modern take on the old style bulletin board
Great page Margreth. Love all the different textures and papers and it really shows off the parts of your beautiful kit.. Yes please to your take on Toni's project, she too is amazing. Thank you for sharing. Crafty hugs Jacqui 😺😺💖
I have a Cricut and Tracey at Love Junk Journals….she gave a quick tutorial that was awesome! I had a scan and cut but I have a ton of troubles with it. I went back to the Cricut
Great project! The thingy on your wall, your inspiration is a bulletin board 😅 and yes I'd love to see your version of a folio. Glad you're getting better.😀
Brilliant. Your idea for that page is amazing. Love it. I don't own a Scan n Cut but I have watched hours of craft tv shows selling them. The thing that put me off is the cost of replacement blades and mats. TFS❤ That little sneak peak of your craft room has me wanting to see more!😊
Sevenplaza is my favorite channel. I love your voice, and I love your ideas. Thank you for sharing all your creative ideas. 2025 is looking good with you in it.
Hi Margaret! Love the new desk, hope this helps with the disk issue. I own the silhouette business edition with the Cameo 3 cutter. Yes it will do what you want but there is a learning curve that you will need to go through. You set up print and cut by loading your image into silhouette, setting registration marks (the program reads those and they tell it where to cut) you have to print from inside the silhouette program for it to work. You can't just print on the printer and then send to silhouette. That being said - I love mine. No one can say if it is worth it for you because that depends on how often you would use that feature. I use mine for both paper and vinyl craft so it is very worth it to me. If you only use one feature but use it daily then yes it would most likely be worth it. Here's to you recovering slowly but surely! 🌹
I have a Cricut and use it all of the time for my journals. Of course, there are pros and cons to all of the machines. You can upload your digitals in design space, however, your print and cut space is smaller than the size the actual digitals are creative. I’ve figured out how to manipulate the designs in order to get the desired size but, it is more work. I use mine also to create different templates I use in my journals and it is so useful for so many projects. Over the years I’ve been tempted to purchase a scan n cut but, haven’t done enough research on it. Hope this makes sense. I love all of your videos and your creative mind! Thank you for sharing your talent with us! Hugs! ❤❤❤
Ingenius, love it. So great how you can get inspiration from things that are around you. I wish I could have an imagination like that. Looking forward to seeing what is next. Take good care of that back, and hope it gets to feeling better soon.
I have 3 silhouette. Cameos for cutting all kinds of digital svg and pngs. I also just recently got the Brother Scan n cut , and that purchase was made just for fussy cutting ephemera. And it does a wonderful job. Pretty easy to learn. I do have problems with the lighter colored edged ephemera, but thats on me needing to learn the nuances of it. But boy when i get it right, its amazing to see the beautiful pile of ephemera it cut out in very little time.
I love your work❣❣❣I have only had cricut machines; however, I want a scan n cut for the reason you mentioned along with other reasons. I have watched many videos regarding scan n cut, so you may want to check out some as well. As for replacement blades - I have always had spares in case I needed them, but to be honest I don't use my cricut machines as much as some people do. I used them for holidays and/or birthdays, etc., so I have never changed any of the blades on any of my machines and I have had cricut machines since cricut first came out - mind you I would get a new machine when available and retire the old, but its been about 7 years since I purchased a new machine. If you get a machine, whichever you choose, get a couple of spare blades - they are not that expensive, and for both machines they are easy to switch out. Regarding the mats, they can last for a decent amount of time, but when they lose their stickiness I used repositional adhesive spray and it works just fine. I also have extra mats because I am the type of person that buys extra everything just in case, but I learned about the adhesive spray from another youtube channel ions ago, and I never purchased another mat since, and I still have unused mats (stored away) because the spray works well.
Would love a craft room/storage tour. You have SO many wonderful things and i just cant wrap my head around how you store it all. I have the smallest fraction of stuff you have and feel lost on how to efficiency store it. You collect so many beautiful things, where is it all? So glad you got a desk that suits you better. Just watched Toni make a project with your caligraphy kit. Beautiful. Hope your week is wonderful. *Edit: just watched the part where you mention Toni, YES we want to see your version!
Absolutely you need to make your version of the folio!!!! I have a scan n cut and a cricut and I would pick the scan n cut. There is no fees or fancy tools you have to get. You just need the mat and it comes with what tools you will need. After watching Gez from Nigezza crates is when I decided to get mine. She has a play list for the scan n cut you can watch and decide if it would work for you!
What a cute idea. Very clever and unique idea. Sorry you hurt your back again Margreth. I know how that is, you can be fine one minute, then do a wrong twist and next minute you are in terrible pain.
I have a Cricut Joy, it is the little one. It cut thick paper. You can invert your pictures on their workspace and let it cut. I learn it fast and use it for a lot things. Also you can write and cut sentiments.
I have a silhouette which also has print and cut capabilities. I’ve used it a few times but usually I batch print and cut as I have time, like when I’m riding in a car. Anyway, I’m satisfied with it. The design space is mostly user friendly, there are plenty of RUclips videos to help, and pre made patterns are not very expensive. And Noah Webster was the dictionary guy, not a president. Just fyi.
I am an avid junk-journaler for years and years and my sons got me a Cricut a few years back. I loved it at first, but had to subscribe to get the images I wanted and had to read for days on how to get it to cut. It now sits in the closet and I never use it. I find it better for vinyl usage, but for the junk journaling, I really prefer knife and scissors. SO much more convenient and way less expense and stress involved. But that's just my experience...lol
Hello Marareth, I just shared a video to your email, video is from the frugal crafter talking about her Scan and Cut machine. Maybe there is some information you can use. Also, thanks for showing part of your craft room with your really nice adjustable desk. I pray that by using this desk it will help your back heal quickly. If I had my own craft room, etc etc I'd definitely like to have one, great idea someone came up with. Now I can go back to watching this project. Take care and God bless you and yours. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas
I think Gail had a scan and cut at one time. She might be able to say what it is like. I saw Toni use your kit. It looked amazing. I'd be happy to watch you make one too :)
I love my scan and cut. I hope you get one because it will help you appreciate how to make digitals more conducive to the scan and cut!!! (selfish reason, I know...... hehehe) But really, I absolutely love it! The scan and cut likes borders. Honestly I haven't used it to it's fullest ability, but what I do use on it, it's awesome!
I have a Cricut, which I love! Yes you can cut out fussy cuts, but there is still a learning curve. I don’t believe any machine will just cut out fussy cuts for you. It is well worth it, but again, you need to learn what to do.
Yes! I love this page, it turned out great. Your ideas are always awesome.

Hello! I have a desk like that too! Very good for you!
Lovely! Please do your version of Toni's project. I would love to see that 😊🥰
Very interesting and unique. I had one of those desks for 8 years at work. I did not stand very much, but it was kinda cool.
Lovely project ❤
The memory board is just fantastic. 😍 Also I'm really grateful you gave us a glimps of how your space looks. Such a cool idea!!
So excited, bought my first Margreth digitals. Hubby got me the epson ecotank 8550 printer for Xmas. Love it and can't wait to print digitals.
What a fun project! I really like the creativity of this page layout.
Hopefully your new desk will help with your ailing back, and you are on a healthy new year !!❤️💕of course we want to see how you would use your kit.
Love the project. It is so cute. I also would love a craftroom tour. I don’t care if it’s messy or organized. Please show your space.❤

Great project! The thingy on your wall, your inspiration is a bulletin board 😅 and yes I'd love to see your version of a folio. Glad you're getting better.😀
It's a display board I'm thinking. And yes, nothing beats a metal ruler and a knife!
Brilliant. Your idea for that page is amazing. Love it. I don't own a Scan n Cut but I have watched hours of craft tv shows selling them. The thing that put me off is the cost of replacement blades and mats. TFS❤ That little sneak peak of your craft room has me wanting to see more!😊

Very nice, think I’ll do one for my grand-son senior junk journal.

I love it! You are a genius 😊
I love this page! Great ideas, as always!
Very nice 👍
So inventive. Lovely as always. Blessings from Canada 🇨🇦
Me too!
For what you are needing done... SCAN and CUT. I have the silhouette 3 & 4 and S and C and use my Scan and cut more often than not.
Wow a very nice desk.
I love this project!!
Go for the Scan n cut. I love mine!!! It’s great for cutting out. You can control the size of the border around it.
If I recall correctly, those boards are called French bulletin boards. I'm glad you're doing as well as you are. Keeping you in my prayers.
Your so creative with your pages! I need to start thinking outside the page and step up my creativity.
Good for you! I certainly hope this new desk helps you so much Love!

What a cute idea. Very clever and unique idea. Sorry you hurt your back again Margreth. I know how that is, you can be fine one minute, then do a wrong twist and next minute you are in terrible pain.
The artist's name you were thinking of was Roy Lichtenstein, an American Pop artist, contemporary of Warhol. I love your ideas😊
I’m not subscribed to Tony so I would love to see you make whatever Tony did with your kit
Really cool Margreth! ❤

I would love to have a Brother ScanNCut. I think it would be perfect for just cutting out the shapes I craft with.
🥰🤩😍
Really nice project thanks for this inspo!
Fabulous. Hugs and Smiles
Love it
Ha Ha!!!! I just loudly double sneezed and you said excuse me! Perfect timing. It was at 26.25
