I like how at the end he made the voice clear and shows us what they actually sang throughout the song, and as it goes the voice gets even clearer. Made us more realize that we've been actually rickrolled the whole entire time

I listened to this song religiously perhaps 2 years ago when I was very depressed and lonely. I was in my room and spending my free hours cubing and watching Star Wars: the clone wars. I was very sad back then for some reason. But I enjoyed doing what I was doing by myself. When I hear this song I am reminded of that period now. It makes me sad because of how content I was yet also depressed. It makes me happy that I can listen to this song in a much better phase of life - I have friends. I am alive. I have God. Keep pushing through the bad times because at one point you will remember how meaningful they were to you. Thanks for reading

It kind of sounds like the samples used were pieced together like how someone remembers someone's voice, but doesnt remember anything they actually said (although _We'll Meet Again_ contains the lyric "I still remember every word you said".) The songs _Monody_ and _We'll Meet Again_ seem to all be part of the same series, _Never Be Alone_ may also go along, although it sounds like its referring to someone who is still alive, but they may be on their death bed or something. If we look at the timeline of when the songs were uploaded, _Never Be Alone_ was uploaded first, potentially when the person died. Then around 8-9 months later _Monody_ was uploaded which seems to be about forgetting they are dead. Another year later _Elegy_ was uploaded, which seems to be the few memories they still have of said person's voice. lastly around three and a half years later _We'll Meet Again_ was uploaded, potentially the narrator is in bad health and close to death, letting their beloved know they are on their way.

I always saw a mother alien telling her child stories and that she was never gonna let her go, but as she was getting emotional about her leaving to planet earth for her first time she would start cheering her up with her younger brother chanting and such, and she begin singing about earth itself. The easiest way for me to describe this music: It's like if Shawn Wasabi's Marble Soda mix techniques and Owl City's Fireflies electronic style got merged into one with the extra characteristic of TheFatRat music components. It creates a somewhat Funky style in certain parts, and futuristic techno in other parts, which gives a really variate composition, but still feels soothing and cheerful in certain way. The easiest way for me to describe this music:
It's like if Shawn Wasabi's Marble Soda mix techniques and Owl City's Fireflies electronic style got merged into one with the extra characteristic of TheFatRat music components.
It creates a somewhat Funky style in certain parts, and futuristic techno in other parts, which gives a really variate composition, but still feels soothing and cheerful in certain way.
