Love seeing invasives come down. This project is going to not only help your land, but also reduce the seed pressure from these invasives in the surrounding area. If someone went around my neighborhood and cut down all the trees of heaven, I wouldn't have to cut so many in my yard every year lol
EARTH IS MY PLANNNNET!!
You should do a Q+A about your new land! I’m from houston and have so many questions!
Paul you are doing a great job clearing your new land. It’s looking good. Love the new plants that you planted. The seeds are going to be amazing. I love it.
I know, it’s just a waiting game for now!
Love that you plant Native and have now bought another property to nature-fy
I’d love for U to create a Playlist of all U r doing on your wild property.
Great idea.
I think you should definitely utilize a controlled burn and/or rent one of those brush clearers(the ones that look like huge woodchippers)
I ALWAYS look forward to the next video. So much that I have rewatched the channel from start 😂
Love the work you do for mah planet, Paul. Thank you
Good for you! What a job - that's amazing that you're taking this on 💚💚💚
Beautiful Plantu Plantation
maybe you can hire a chipper for a day to get rid of the unwanted branches and trees that you're cutting, that would be handy to clear space and make mulch for your new plants.... I am really loving watching this project, mate! Earth is my planet 🌏
Earth is my planet might give “trippin” some competition over time. Paul keep up the content, the fishes need you!
🔥🔥🔥 it’s gonna look MAJESTIC AF
Really glad to see u spraying the stump with a strong mix. Has to be 20% or stronger. Also you may want to consider purchasing an Extractigator or a Pullerbear. Can save you money by needing less herbicide. Really well done.
You are such a wonderful example to follow! It is a ton of work, but it will be so beautiful as you go!
I enjoy your videos so much! We cleared our lot of tons of metal, glass, plastic and all kinds of random debris, took a long time and help, so, I admire you! My Cantú ancestors were farmers, and loved the land; you have it in your DNA 💚
Keep up the good work bro
Good progress! Those privets are super invasive & come up all over. Can't wait to see the wildflower meadow. I need that Obedient Flower! "Urth es ma plont!"
This is awesome, love what you’re doing! Gonna be fun following your journey with this land!! 🌱💪
Ur a beauty, plants are cool to 🤣 I'm growing a massive meadow atm looking forward to the next few years and its growth.
Cool restoration project. I am jealous of all of the Sabal minor you have.
amazing video. Chasmanthiun latifolium is one of my faves too. it's seed is majestic looking. You should plant some big ol Eutrochium (Joe pye weed) in there along the creek. it would be like a towering lighthouse to pollinator passerbys.
Love watching you renewing this beautiful piece of property!
Plantation paul!
Always exciting to see what you do on the property & enjoy your channel so much
Love this, always improving and I'm sure it'll look majestic once you're nearing completion.
By the way, the youtube channel Mossy Earth has a lot of videos on rewilding and stuff - maybe something that'd be interesting to check out?
Keep it up, and as always
EARTH IS MY PLANET!
Set up trail cameras so you can see what wildlife you have there!
I need to for sure!
Wanted to say the same thing!
I like this outro better. None of that fake gun shot stuff
Hell Yeah
I haven't watched all the way throught yet, but if u haven't cut down all the invasives yet maybe consider having some of them as standing deadwood in there, basically a very tall stump
Let us know how that bird of paradise does in the winter. And those other ones. Indoor ones. Thanks for the info. H-Town!! Our dog's name is Ranger too.lkl
Content comment for the algorithm gods.
Im so jealous.
I would be curious to know if you have any background in ecological restoration or how you learned and got into it? I'm not sure if you've talked about it in a previous video. I'm currently a student in ecological restoration and it's great to follow what you're doing there. You could do so much with this little stream to improve water quality and retain water in your property while limiting potential flooding issues
My background is in art but I like plants and creating native habitat for wildlife. I don’t have a background in restoration whatsoever I just learned from the internet and like researching plants of the Southeast US. I definitely am going to build some ponds and creeks throughout the property.
Great content Paul Plantu
Paul I love your other channel but this is it. Love this content.
Hell yea my guy
Can't wait to see the follow up! In this video I learned about the Fall Obedient plant! Thanks. Can't wait to get that. How are you fruit trees? I wondered how they will get water.
That goldenrod is going to look SICK this year after you open up more light. Doin' the werk o' Gawd. I've used triclopyr with great success on invasive blackberries in the fall, I hope it works for you!
Do you have houseplants too? Would be cool to see a video of those.
What do you have in the bottle to stop the privet from coming back? Thanks!
The only thing I'd have done differently is to use that cut wood to make Beaver Dam Analogs. Not only will that keep the water on your land longer, but it'll help to flood out a lot of the unwanted growth that doesn't like wet feet. Plus, having more fresh water ponding on the property is great for the birds and pollinators.
That is a great idea in many applications but this is already a bottom land habitat by a bayou so the soil is very wet as is. If I were to back up that creek it would flood my neighbors land. I may however use that technique in common with others higher up to create a series of ponds around my orchard areas.

@@paulplantu You don't have to make the dams that large. Little "speed bumps" along the channel that slow the water so the floods don't cut the channel deeper are more than enough.
The last ones I made were in a channel that was 3' deep, so I made them about 2' tall -- just high enough that they were impeding the flow, but the water didn't breech the banks. I lost a few of them when a big storm hit and the flood waters were powerful enough to move them, but that was okay by me because it meant that the water didn't rise high enough to cause problems outside of the channel.
It's really neat to see how the plants change when the water is just a little higher in the soil.
💚💚💚💚
Hi Paul, where can I buy those seeds?
You ever consider getting a chipper?
Make log piles out of the trees you cut to give the wildlife some where to live instead of burning the timber
It’s not the logs it’s the midsize branches that I can’t chip up that are more of a problem in terms of the buildup.
Earth is my plonet
I dont know if u own or know of someone who does, but I think it would be cool to see the property from an arial perspective to give a better view of the land. Just a thought 😎
I need to get a drone I just don’t want it to get stuck in the trees. Hahaha
💕💕🎶🎶
You should make charcoal with the wood
Bro start your own nursery for the forest funding!!! Easier said than done BUT
You able to have a small bonfire on property? I’m in Oklahoma not to far I’ll bring the beer :)
🤤
Where is he at?
Weed wacker 😒😕🔥🤏🏿👹🫶🏽😂
You may want to rent a brush hog..
Paul. Plant poo.
The only thing I don’t like about Native American seeds is its owner by a white couple not any actual native Americans… so I feel like they’re using the name for sales
The seeds are native to America. That’s why it’s called Native American Seed.
Bro did some research with the wrong intention.
The nave has nothing to do with native Americans ( Indians). It refers to the seed origin
