Add Locktite to your tool kit and use on the rack bolts that continuously come loose. Also you have a tape measure in your sewing kit and your tool kit. Chuck one.
Thanks! Nice to compare essentials. Suggest adding small hammer or my favorite- a rubber mallet (tho it may not fit in your box, but move that sewing kit in the glove compartment!) Also safety eye goggles & gloves, and a very compact cheap plastic table cloth incase you have to crawl under or lay on the ground for extended fixes. Will keep you clean for your wine date. 😉
Good list! Some ideas to add: That mask is only for preventing sneeze juice from going forwards, it's no good for dust. Search for an N95 marked mask for a bit more usefulness. (Not M3 brand though as they test on animals.) I'd also add a few jeweller's files. I find them even more useful than a big one. They can cut out tiny notches, etc. A scraper which takes replaceable blades is surprisingly useful for both cutting and scraping/cleaning. Eye protection is a must! My favourite is Bolle Cobra glasses, or look for something similar without a frame, to get the widest view without obstructions. Tweezers are useful sometimes. Might have one in that multi tool. Surgical pliers are great for getting stuff out of or into tight spots or putting string/thread through fabric/foam/rubber. They look like a really skinny grabbing tool. Little lighter is useful. I also use an electrician's flush cutter a lot. Can cut almost flush against a surface. I use it for plastics, fingernails, etc. Knipex mini bolt cutter. Very useful sometimes for cutting metal up to 1/4" thick. Also calipers are good for measuring, if you're making stuff. And a larger bit set which has all the hex and star bits is super useful too. You can then put the ones you use most into your screwdriver handle. And a set of micro/pprecision bits, for tiny things like phones, laptops, friend's eyeglasses, etc. Knipex plier wrench for me is a must. Insanely multi use for pressing, grabbing, turning, etc. I wear the 5" one on my pants every day, and I also have the 12" one for big tasks. I have a video on the small one, and also on some really good electrician's scissors that are also very multi use. If I could only have two tools for the rest of my life, these would be the two. The knipex can replace a few of the tools you have there, but is also good just as an addition for the extra stuff it can do. I love it so much I even use it as my screwdriver whenever I'm not using a power tool or need to reach in a really awkward space. Personally I also must have my SOG Pocket Powerplier, which is a ridiculously good needle nose plier due to the extra pressing force it gives. A Wera Cyclops speed ratchet is also nice, but the kits are really expensive. I had the small one and did love it, but sold it since I always had my Knipex on me so the Wera didn't get much use. Oh also soon I'll be doing a kickstarter for tool pouches that I make by hand. Gives you the superpower of wearing tools when you need super quick access. :) I should send you one for review.
Thanks. I think there's a really old version shown in one or two videos, but the new ones are improved a lot. I will post a video when the kickstarter is live though. I hope in a few weeks.
They make those folding razor blade knives that store extra blades in the handle, I got one in my tool roll, I carry a Gerber EAB (Exchange A Blade) which is a small folding box cutter as my EDC pocket knife. one type of blade for both😁 for a screwdriver I have a 3/8 T handle with 3 and 6 inch extension and 1/4 bit socket and a selection of bits.
I own a 2008 Prius with 155,000+miles (best car ever). I've done some traveling and have slept/lived out of it for a week at a time. That looks like the Dollar Tree "Swiss army knife". If so, it will probably break, bend, wobble, etc. if you try to use it. Since you're trying to make things compact, consider spending the money to get a real Victorinox Swiss Army Knife with tools you might use, and/or to replace some other tools you already have.
