- Hi everyone, welcome back to the channel! This video is all about the first week of fly fishing & laksefiske / salmon fishing for atlantic salmon in Gaula 2022. This video gives you an insight of the struggle, friendship, happiness and everything in between as we experienced it.
We were struck by the beauty of the surrounding landscape. The Gaula river winds its way through the forests and mountains, and the scenery is truly breathtaking. We're grateful to be able to spend time in this beautiful place, and we're determined to make the most of our time here.
Gaula is known for its large and powerful salmon, and we're using traditional fly fishing gear to try to catch these elusive fish.
After a few hours of fishing, we're starting to get the hang of things. We're learning how to read this specific water, and we were making adjustments to our technique to try to improve our chances of success. We were also getting to know each other better, and having a great time sharing stories and enjoying each other's company.
The fights are intense, and the feeling of victory is unbeatable. We were also able to observe the salmon in their natural habitat, and we're amazed by their size and strength.
Overall, our first week of fly fishing for salmon in Gaula has been a huge success. We learned a lot, we caught some amazing fish, and we made some great memories. We can't wait to return to this awesome place. Thanks for joining us, and stay tuned for more fishing adventures on our channel.

The beat has changed a LOT since this summer, just so you know if you plan on fishing here 2024 too.
We're actually going to fish this beat a few weeks next year. How has it changed??
Too much to explain actually so i'll just say everything since that's much easier. now i live smack bang by the store in Kvål so i can look at the beat and i have at high flood and 2.5 m3 now this fall so for me it's easy to see the changes but sadly i didnt take any pic's and now it's winter here but if i remember i will take some pics in April/May or whenever the river is low and the ice has melted but before the spring flood.
