A beautiful podcast with Bollywood's heartthrob John Abraham, it was the most heartfelt, brotherly conversation we've had on the show. He started his career with modeling and after many making his mark for many advertisements, he got the opportunity with his debut film "Jism". Soon he became the actor with the most aspiring body in Bollywood. For me personally, he was a huge inspiration during the time I was deep in my journey of bodybuilding.
In this episode, we went deep inside John Abraham's mind, the mistakes he has made in the past, the failures, his brand image & more. One thing I definitely witnessed the most about him was his humility for his work, art, and legacy that he has built over the years. There are many aspects of him that you'll witness during this conversation.
On being on the brink of a release, he breaks down how he disassociates his self-worth on the success or failure of a particular film. His new film will "Attack" will release on the 1st of April'22, where he brings back another release in the thriller genre.
Hope you enjoy this conversation, can't wait to have him back on the show again.
John Abraham on The Ranveer Show.
Watch this clip to know if doing an MBA helped John in his Bollywood career.

He spoke the cardinal truth about Bollywood.
he sounds so sensible.
beauty with brain
Kind of
4:10 perfect line for bollywood even today
He is absolutely right Bollywood is focusing only on profit rather than content that’s why they just doing copy paste and also not giving chance to deserving bcz of highly competitive atmosphere among already established actors
Love this guy , talented, educated and seems a like genuinely hard working and down to earth kind of guy . God bless.
I never thought that John Abraham would be so thoughtful and sensible :)
Loved that John talked about Bollywood from his perspective as an MBA grad. I think the biggest issue facing Bollywood today is that they don't know who their target market is anymore. The Hindi speqking audience within India is some 1 Billion people but it is not a homogeneous population. Yet filmmakers are trying to promote their films everywhere claiming that they have universal appeal. Instead of making a film that can work for a certain audience they are looking for a cash grab and make films that are neither here nor there and ultimately dont end up working for anyone.
Back in 90s early 2000s, many films were made with a specific audience in mind. Families/General (Sooraj Barjatiya type films), SRK's films mostly catered to the Diaspora living abroad, other films were made for the interior of the country (Sunny Deol's), and still other films were made for the metro audience or youth (Dil Chahta Hai).
In those days the industry operated on family ties and friendship. Today however, as John said, it is much more corporate but they've havent developed their sensibilities. Films are made on big scales and big budgets but there is no understanding of how to make such films profitable with content that will engage...and entertain a big enough audience as the lines between different groups are now blurred.
John's acting is kinda okay but his intelligence and education reflects when he speaks. He is indeed a smart, humble and intellectual guy.
No doubt why MBA has a brand value 👍
Loved this piece of conversation. Unabashed honesty and candidness. Give John his flowers for he absolutely swung for the fences!
All of a sudden , I'm a fan of John.
Awesome, There is so much wisdom and information in this video.
It’s not the right answer, You should be able to ask the right question in order to get an amazing answer. Both of you Nailed it!
MBA gives him power to choose Satyamev Jayate.😜
Joke a part. He did really good movies.
Waiting for Attack !!
@YoMamaBeenFartin' In India Star power matters more than content..... John's Stardom doesn't match with his films. He Should attract audience to watch his movie. Promotion, Interviews and Sense of Humour plays vital role. If Satyamev Jayate done by Salman then it would have collected more than 350cr+.....that's the difference
Bhai iski no smoking aur water dekhna
😂😂
look at the movie he produced, not in which he acted
Love how humble he is.
JA entertainment constantly sets the bar between entertainment and that new frontier without being snooty about it.
Great Podcast.
We have also done lots of podcasts with IIM folks.
Great interview with great people. The energy is superb.
wow..just love your blatant honesty. Say it as it is. Kudos to you.
He’s so hot and intelligent!
Great.. John bhai.👌👌👌

Such a intelligent person... Wht a communication skill
Really a greatest person from Bollywood...
True things said about Bollywood industry
Great analysis by John 👍.

Everybody taunting him on satyamev jayate , let appreciate him for movies like force and attack 🙏
Force was remake and Attack not yet released.
So Insightful Dude💯
Glad you think so!
Respect for John ⏫📈👍🏻
He is genuine
Faliure is the pillar of success💪❤. Try and try until you don't get it.
I can't believe he is the guy who made movies like satyamev jayate , he is actually very interesting fellow
He made that for money
Most mature answer on Bollywood
Super Bhai
True. Why does an actor's or actresses fees take up 50% or more of movie budget? It doesn't make sense.
My man is speaking fax!!
John really seems like a collected intellectual guys
❤️❤️❤️
I think his response was very matured.
Very good video. 👍💯
Edit:- Sahi kaha. Copy stories bhare hue hai in bollywood.
Nice
And still he decided to star in Sathyameva jayathe
Right 😂😂
Usne woh paiso aur bhushan kumar ke wajah se ki thi, usne khud iske liye maafi bhi mangi hai
Dost those films have a market .
john abraham should start a gym chain named - "MBA body wala"
Everything sounds beautiful and logical but still it irks me to think what made him do satyamev jayate.. may be money ...than that's okay.
It has a market
5:12 let’s not romanticize failure. I understand failures are a part of life. But your loved ones suffer a lot due to your failures. So don’t romanticize it
John is trying to say that people should stop the herd mentality and try something new. As an artist you should be able break the status quo(masala and terrorist films) and venture into new stories. I can count on my figures new topics that Bollywood tried in the last decade. If you are afraid to fail u will never achieve what u actually desire and be self fulfillled. Actors going into OTT platform is an example of such change.
how can such a wise person be a part of satyamev jayate 2
Why is ranveer promoting MBA degree so much now a days?
It's totally different from ground reality MBA degree is totally worthless except from few colleges like top 10-20 colleges in india. For the rest colleges it's totally useless, cz at the end u will get a salesman job which even a graduate student can get.
He isn't promoting it man, he's just talking about it.
Then what degree do you think is better?
Well do you know mba graduates earn the highest in the whole world just after specialist doctors and surgeons
Bande ne nmims ki cutoff nikal li🥲🥲
I'm doing MBA and my father told me today that I've chose the worst line for my career 😂😂 I mean everybody is thinking like that about me
They don't know anything about it indian people give gyan on what they don't know
@@yashjoshi1077 or even they don't have the entire information
bruh MBA in a good college is like the most precious thing a person could have in his career to achieve success. You can Slay in corporates & can even then start ur own business after 4-5 yrs of experience in that field. that's how all big ppl today became successful! all thise big names (who didn't haveDad's business) r MBA + some yrs of experience in that sector & then their own successful startup!
It is if you are doing it from anywhere below tier 2. Imagine getting an MBA from Amity ? No use.
After watching Satyamev Jayate 2, i am cancelling my plans for MBA
I believe 'Long Hair' John did better movies than 'Short Hair' John (Exceptions do prevail)
You can learn all this also in BBA
😂😂😂😂😂
You can learn without any degree too 😂😂
I don't want John to do movies like satyamev jayate
Ece
Feeling pity on Bollywood
How come this host has used evry guest in his life as a reference
Right i wonder
U guys r selling patriotism only frm last few yrs
Because it sells, it has market
Iss video ko jadli htao mere ghr valon ne dekh liya to mujhe MBA karva denge. 😂😂
djsce
