A beautiful podcast with Bollywood's heartthrob John Abraham, it was the most heartfelt, brotherly conversation we've had on the show. He started his career with modeling and after many making his mark for many advertisements, he got the opportunity with his debut film "Jism". Soon he became the actor with the most aspiring body in Bollywood. For me personally, he was a huge inspiration during the time I was deep in my journey of bodybuilding.
In this episode, we went deep inside John Abraham's mind, the mistakes he has made in the past, the failures, his brand image & more. One thing I definitely witnessed the most about him was his humility for his work, art, and legacy that he has built over the years. There are many aspects of him that you'll witness during this conversation.
On being on the brink of a release, he breaks down how he disassociates his self-worth on the success or failure of a particular film. His new film will "Attack" will release on the 1st of April'22, where he brings back another release in the thriller genre.
Hope you enjoy this conversation, can't wait to have him back on the show again.
John Abraham on The Ranveer Show.

He is absolutely right Bollywood is focusing only on profit rather than content that’s why they just doing copy paste and also not giving chance to deserving bcz of highly competitive atmosphere among already established actors

Loved that John talked about Bollywood from his perspective as an MBA grad. I think the biggest issue facing Bollywood today is that they don't know who their target market is anymore. The Hindi speqking audience within India is some 1 Billion people but it is not a homogeneous population. Yet filmmakers are trying to promote their films everywhere claiming that they have universal appeal. Instead of making a film that can work for a certain audience they are looking for a cash grab and make films that are neither here nor there and ultimately dont end up working for anyone.
Back in 90s early 2000s, many films were made with a specific audience in mind. Families/General (Sooraj Barjatiya type films), SRK's films mostly catered to the Diaspora living abroad, other films were made for the interior of the country (Sunny Deol's), and still other films were made for the metro audience or youth (Dil Chahta Hai).
In those days the industry operated on family ties and friendship. Today however, as John said, it is much more corporate but they've havent developed their sensibilities. Films are made on big scales and big budgets but there is no understanding of how to make such films profitable with content that will engage...and entertain a big enough audience as the lines between different groups are now blurred.

@YoMamaBeenFartin' In India Star power matters more than content..... John's Stardom doesn't match with his films. He Should attract audience to watch his movie. Promotion, Interviews and Sense of Humour plays vital role. If Satyamev Jayate done by Salman then it would have collected more than 350cr+.....that's the difference

John is trying to say that people should stop the herd mentality and try something new. As an artist you should be able break the status quo(masala and terrorist films) and venture into new stories. I can count on my figures new topics that Bollywood tried in the last decade. If you are afraid to fail u will never achieve what u actually desire and be self fulfillled. Actors going into OTT platform is an example of such change.

Why is ranveer promoting MBA degree so much now a days?
It's totally different from ground reality MBA degree is totally worthless except from few colleges like top 10-20 colleges in india. For the rest colleges it's totally useless, cz at the end u will get a salesman job which even a graduate student can get.

bruh MBA in a good college is like the most precious thing a person could have in his career to achieve success. You can Slay in corporates & can even then start ur own business after 4-5 yrs of experience in that field. that's how all big ppl today became successful! all thise big names (who didn't haveDad's business) r MBA + some yrs of experience in that sector & then their own successful startup!
