STORY:
Adol and Dogi traveled to Altago's capital in search of more adventure after the events of Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim. They get into trouble while exploring the town by attempting to save two sisters who are being harassed by the local Dragon Knights, Altago's army force. They are imprisoned, but because of their reputation as adventurers, the king asks them to help him investigate some strange earthquakes that have occurred recently, as his men have been unable to find anything. On their journey, they learn that the Five Dragons are reawakening to prevent a great evil, and they lend their power to Adol to assist in stopping it.
Gameplay:
To damage monsters and bosses in previous Ys games, players had to switch between elemental weapons. There isn't much difference this time around, except that players switch party members and use different attacks. While in combat, the AI controls the two other members, and you can control how they attack. During the battle, the player will receive four skills for his set, each of which depletes the meter.
