Dollhouse is about looks as well, saying that we worry to much about how we look as people and how life is basically a dollhouse. I love it!

I actually interpreted this mashup in a different way. I can definitely see how these songs actually tie very well with one another, even though they both don't follow the same story. Halsey's song talks about a person who has been treated unfairly by the people who surround them and they feel entirely disconnected with the world. They feel like they're no longer deserving of love like the line in Gasoline implies: 'You're part of a machine, you are not a human being." Through my eyes, it seems like the person thinks that the world hates them and that's the main reason why they longer have love for anyone, even themself. Dollhouse works very well for the story that had been creating itself behind the scenes. The same person could've possibly come from a broken family and they were perhaps unloved or felt unloved by their family and that's what got to them to feel the way that they did. No longer deserving of love, because not even their own family acknowledged the way that they truly felt about their broken home life. And I also took the line: "Low on self-esteem, so you run on gasoline," into a different interpretation. Because of their lack of self-love and the people that they grew up around, they decided to take a darker path in their life. The gasoline that is mentioned throughout the song, is possibly the need to destroy and kill everything and everyone around them. A pretty sad story with a dark ending, but that's why both songs tie up so well with one another. Great job with making this!
