Just adopted this baby, and she's doing really well. My two terripoo boys are fascinated with her. I had no idea she was a Hope for Paws rescue until her foster mom mentioned after we adopted her...just icing on the cake.

The dog was in a storm drain, not a sewer, sewers are buried below grade to prevent serious illnesses.
The reason I bring it up is so that people won't be afraid to adopt dogs believing that they picked up an illness from the sewer.

that sewer, crawling into it, with intent to save a dog regardless of how much dirt, mold, germs, sickness, etc could be in there, not to mention she looked like she could barely fit in there, gg lisa, what a selfless act of pure amazing dog-loverness :D

Always has to be someone to make a stupid comment. That dog was obviously dumped or abandoned, so that would make whomever did that to her STUPID!
Love how Lisa just threw herself into the drain to get him. That takes real courage. The way he hid his face by Eldad's knee though, terrified...that wrung my heart a bit.
A few minutes of sheer terror fir this little pup is replaced by a lifetime of love and affection.
we have to appreciate the sheer bravery of Lisa. she was cramped up for room inside that narrow passage. she didnt give a damn if there would be any rats in there which bite her face and she wouldnt even have enough room to take evasive action. even the dog could have run the other way and injured her. well done.. also the guy was very patient.

yesterday day I rescued a dog from an animal shelter and she is doing well so far :)

It’s always amazing. Once they have on the lucky leash they calm down and feel safe. Just a little love goes a long way. The friendly touch and voice such a relief.

I cried so much. My dog gets love and affection. I'm the only one in my family who actually looks after her and takes notice of her. Sometimes we come home and we've been out for the whole day everybody apart from me ignores her. I know what my dog feels like. She feels rejected. As if no one wants her apart from me. I feel bad now. I always thought stray dogs just were fine and then they find a home but no. Dogs should be more important than anything. People shouldn't ignore them anymore. Dogs have a life too you know. They have feelings too. So guys, please help the dogs. Make them more important. Especially strays I'm not sure whether I cried of happiness or sadness

One day sadly my nan died and my grandad had to look after him but sadly a few months later my dog died it was so painful to think about it i always feel my nans present is here with me and I feel something furry and I here Barking noises in the night and my neighbours don't have any pets im happy that these beautiful pets have a new loving forever home!.

Your videos are healing my heart. Last year I lost my Mum, my daughter and my lifelong friend. Sometimes I get overwhelmingly sad but watching how you and your team dedicate your lives to rescuing these poor little dogs and seeing them get well and happy suffuses my heart with joy and peace. My daughter's dog lives with me now and is a link to her. I have had three previous dogs, all rescues. They all had long and happy lives with us. I live in the UK.
I always feel sorry for dogs who are mistreated; they're constantly worried they'll get beaten or abandonded again :(

When I am watching these videos, I am thinking: This is how things SHOULD be. Domesticated animals should never be abandoned and suffering, sick, starved and defenseless. Rescues like this should be the norm in our society rather than everyone viewing him as exceptional. It always amazes how many of society's ills are totally preventable.
Lisa is a real hero for all she does for these wonderful animals. I hope life is kind to her and she finds happiness all her days.

This dog sure made Eldad and Lisa "work for it"! I'm not sure if the dog had been abused, or she never had human contact, or maybe she just liked living where she was? My gosh, the levels of tactical planning, patience, and willingness to put themselves in harm's way that Eldad and Lisa repeatedly demonstrate, their love for these animals is so apparent for all to see. God Bless Hope For Paws! It was such an awesome payoff to see Leah enjoying her head scratches and her canine friends! I hope and trust she quickly found her loving forever home!
