You gotta create a support fleet around it. It’s an amphibious fortress. Needs stegos, a trio of Utah’s, a few trikes, a circle of Dilos or other venom, fire launchers in stables around the first floor perimeter ,and an drone horde of hornets or wasps.
tip: get swarm on turtle and leave render distance and nothing will attack it and it will tame out. tamed a 135 of official by accident, dident realize it was tamed till i checked tribe log. thank me later Update: Wild card fixed this this morning in the new patch
Hey about the health and where it takes damage, I'm pretty sure The shell is bugged and transparent, so you were hitting his legs, for full damage, and his chest, for reduced damage. Im not sure tho just an observation

If you wanna try soaking with the giant turtle, try using the benefits that the turtles have unlike the golem, have them mate boosted and imprint, it'll definitely have a better result
It's a god mode soaker it's just a little tricky to get it to hit the direct back of the shell or the underbelly you can get 270 and more saddle bps and hard saddles. We used it on a mega base on ps4 and we soaked the entire first chandelier really quick
Can we hide pigs on them? If so can we heal them from the back Also my design is build as much armor as possible add a few port holes for rockets and cannons

And the Imperator class has a whole chapel ontop of its back. Which has large guns in the towers of the chaple. Note: Though the turtle is not seen as a god of war

Once I got a megachelons walking speed so great it could actually be used to explore land and swim insanely fast... I was testing the turtles in creative mode.
Then best choke point to use these in would be water area entrance from the very beginning 3 of em layer by layer you can’t go through without killing them and with turrets and aggressive water tames it will be a pain in the ass in shadow cave on abberation
The whale is too squishy, people can just use a compund bow and fabricated sniper to kill it quickly. Edit: the build area of a whale is only 2×2, so you can't use it for anything more than a chair or a few crafting stations.

They had to something to balance the game since the big ol' turtle is pretty tough so I am glad they make turrets do a lot of damage. Also there is a potential to use it to glitch into bases so they were smart to make them very weak to base raiding. If you could take your whole base into a raid and tank also, that would be pretty game breaking.
Can you build on wild megachelon? Because that would mean you could just build your base around some wild megachelon, and then build turrets on them so that they can defeat raiders as they swim around
Fairly sure you didn't come up with the defensive metal shell, considering I saw Nooblets do this 2 days after the DLC came out. But regardless, still a good video, and you've still convinced me to subscribe.
I was picturing a pyramid build with ugly corners to compensate against turrets; walls are walls but ramps are simple machines, IDK if the pyramid-builders can mount turrets on ramps but it's not my problem
