Use those baguettes to make garlic bread, chopped garlic and butter mixed and add a few herbs, spread and cook. I use wraps too to make garlic bread or bagels, or thins etc
I agree toast deserves real butter and sandwiches are fine with spread. I always buy yellow label double cream which i freeze and then when i have a reasonable stock i defrost it and make my own butter and salted butter and garlic butter so yummy and si much cheaper than shop bought and pure no crap ingredients win win px
Great haul honeybee reasonable amount for under 100. Great idea on the cook your own baton bread and have with butter instead of garlic bread for wee charlie. I only use a high quality olive oil but i justify it as a bottle will last me months i so rately use it i never use oil oil instead i use lard its less than a pound no bad ingredients and thats what my mum and nanny always used. I know on a ideal world you would make more of your own bread rolls but since ur time is limited maybe its something you could teach zac to make it would occupy him and it would be a great skill for him to carry forward. Who wouldnt want a husband who could make bread lol. I had to laugh i use to buy everything in 4 's even though i no longer need to i still lapse and do every so often !! How kind of charlie however i wonder if ypu really will take the money off him? My girls use 3 to do this as a way of getting what they wanted in was always so impressed they were being kind to each other i couldnt take the money off them so i was in effect buying it for them and they were getting the pricy product whereby i would have bought the more economical version . Px
I was thinking of content ideas.... Get everyone to add photos of their Christmas trees etc? Or what about 'what I picked up from the Christmas fete?!'
I know i keep going on and on but have you thought anymore about investing i a water purifier or filter one of the really good ones . I just keep thinking that you would be saving around £5 per week 20.00 a month nearly 250.00 a year thats mind boggling to my brain . a filter would pay for itself in no time and you could enjoy a nice treat family day out at a fun park activity park . Just a thought. I started selling on vinted initally to save to treat the girls at christmas . I have not even missed the bits i sold and i have enough to treat us all to a weekend spa retreat which was my dream gift for them and i fidnt think it would happen. It will be a great bonding activity for us after a rough 2 years i never lost faith and the universe more than delivered . How blessed am i and i am in the process of organising it tonight and i am so excited they will be over the moon as its the first thing i have done all on my own . Mum is home from her heart op and doing well so i have been quite on you tube so i think it will be a weekend of catch up and its so cold here at the minute i will be lighting the log burner and happily chilling out . Gareth sorting his own tea .... man speak aka for ordering a takeaway lol px
You could save a lot of money on your shopping if you didn't buy so many treats for the children, maybe give them more fruit instead and if they don't eat it let them be hungry, they won't be fussy for long if you do that 😅
I could do that, but I want a life where I don't feel like topping myself every day because my kids are screaming at me constantly that they are hungry....so I'll buy a few extra snacks and be done with it 😂
I don't use seed oils. Hack for oil. Use lard or beef dripping which are under £1 for a block and are amazing for cooking. I also use ghee or butter but lard and beef dripping is great
Great haul, you did good the prices are ridiculous everywhere. On weeks where I need to cut back a bit I base my meal plan on what’s on offer or do a freezer/ cupboard raid. ❤️🙏😘
I gave my children to treats and we were on a junior soldiers pay, they didn't grow up fussy, it also didn't smack or make them clear their plate, they grew up to be fabulous adults, I kinda think they didn't ask to be born ,yet we give them a lot of rules to follow "while you're under my roof" for example, the kids are budding adults and will be what they will be, proper butter every day of the week 😂❤
If you want content ideas add some mums survival guide for schools! Little one started school this September and no one warned me 😅 feels a bit like the new born phase that no one tells you about! This week we have had remembrance, parents evening and children in need all with expected parents participation 😂 and they have just published the Christmas activities OMG I thought you just got them there for them to teach and went about your business making the money to feed and cloth them!
Home bargains or savers vitamins are the cheapest if youve got stores near you. Charlie is so sweet buying his siblings sweets ❤ Hows your christmas shopping coming along? So much pressure on us mums this time of year Xx
I really like them too, so does my husband, but we're not ordering from there again for the whole family because the children just don't like the meals and food gets wasted. So next time we order, it'll just be for the 2 of us occasionally to have some 'grown up' dinners that we wouldn't be able to have otherwise x
I have for some years the same budget every week for my alone and its enough to go to the supermarket And i buy the supermarketbrands and sometime i pay a little bit more for something special

Are you going to order more from hello fresh? I find the meals to be really delicious and great value for money
