I get how Love had to go. But I still wish he had not have to kill her. Love represented anyone who could go toe to toe with Joe. The rest were all helpless victims and easy prey. I am as tired about the helpless female victim trope as much as the danzle in distress trope. Love made it enjoyable to watch how she for a while had a grip on the situation and made Joe see who he was by showing him that she was the face of the same coin. They didn't have to kill her, maybe they could of had Joe frame her or just run away.

Love’s last words were perfect.. because they really are perfect for each other. I was hoping they would both be exposed for the psychotic couple they are, like a Bonnie and Clyde love story, but Joe takes the win once again. This season was so chaotic that I forgot all about Ellie.
You have to remember that even though joe and love are the reason for Ellie being in the situation she’s in that them being narcissistic psychos means that they ultimately only care about themselves and Ellie was inevitably just collateral damage. Joe sent her money not for her benefit but for his in the sense that it made him feel like he was being a good person by helping her. He forgot about her because at the end of the day Joe is only out for himself and his actions only benefit himself and his ego. Once he found marienne he moved on to “helping” her because he gets off on being a savior and forgot about Ellie because he no longer needed those deeds to feed his ego.

this season literally had me screaming at love through the screen. her impulsiveness was so annoying and literally caused nearly all the issues that happened in the show. i dont know if i wanted her to die tho, that still made me a bit sad lmao.

Up to this point, Love has been Joe’s only “equal” opponent. I’m sorry to see her go even though she became such an unlikable character in Season 3. She had an uncanny knowledge of Joe’s thought processes and motives and was extremely triggered by his manipulations. I’m hoping that Joe pays for his crimes in Season 4.... he’s such a scary and smug predator. Really liked this review!!!

The use of Taylor Swift's exile was perfect for the final Joe and Love scene, loved it. Everyone mentions how unlikeable they found Love but I really like her and I'm sick of Joe. Would've been happy if he was the one to die and s4 was centred around her instead. Not sure why everyone makes excuses for Joe all the time yet Love gets judgement. No, he wasn't trying to be a better person. He's the same old psycho who is always obsessed with a shiny new toy. Hope Love survived the fire and hope there's a good change up for s4 to keep it fresh.
I think because they give Joe's rough childhood story and no real glimpse into Love's. Yes we know her parents suck but it never came to the point where it would be like yes i understand how that can create a sociopath.

I think it's funny that every time he kidnapped someone or killed he would always take the phone and unlock it with face recognition, but he never changed his own phone "maybe because he never thought that could happen to him" so when love paralyzed him she did the exact same thing he did to others, its funny because you would think he wouldn't use face recognition after knowing how dangerous it is

Anyone thinks that this season was way more brutal and mature than season 1 and 2? Cause I was left with big scars from this. At the beginning I was just thinking "aww, look how sweet are Love, Joe and little Henry together, like a family!" and then it got darker like "You" always does and the murderers started, so msny this time. I thought we knew everything about Joe's childhood but seeing so many new flashbacks in this season just made a lot of sense, made me think we knew nothing about Joe, even though we listened to his inner monologue every time. The reason he was so afraid of being abandoned, the reason he's killing every bad person. I wish we knew what happened to his mom though cuz at this point I wouldn't be suprise to find that Joe killed her and her new son. And when the fu*k is Joe gonna learm that things ARE actually gonna be the same everytime?! So many twisted news this season too. I really didn't wanna believe Love killed James. I mean, they seemed so happy, he was such a good man and Love didn't kill people she loves... But that changed in this season, my whole perspective changed. Now I can't stop wondering who is crazier, Joe or Love? At least, in the end Joe realized he's gotta save Henry from him and he left him with a beautiful family where he knew he'd be loved. Remains to be seen if Joe will find Marianne in Paris or find another obsession and continue it all over... Though, I'd like him to have a stalker of himself, a person who became obsessed with him the same way he does, a manipulative person who can show him how obsessive and sick he is. I came to think of one thing. Joe says in the last episode of season three that they tested the DNA in his toes and in season one, he forgot a jar of urine in Peach Salinger's house and her family's PI told Joe that they tested it but got no results, but now that they have his DNA from his toes they can see that the DNA from his toes and the jar of urine matches and they will understand that he was the one killing Peach.
The Quinn family was know to sort any mess their kids created! Could have been Love hired some people to do that for her the way they handled the nanny’s body that love killed when she was young!

Love deserved better. She was really trying to make it work with Joe. And while she did cheat, at least she felt bad about it. Joe literally dropped her like a hot potato in his mind, after they went through all that therapy to become a team. I guess im upset bc Love wasnt a victim but a protagonist. I would have like it much better if they had really worked together to clean up their respective messes. Joe has no loyalty!!
The difference is that Joe never really loved Love. She was only alive because of the baby. Joe tried to work it out , but in the end he had to admit to himself that he could never love her.

Nah she's dead .. he gave her a massive amount which is how she killed her 1st husband.. she said she go the dose wrong so she was letting Joe's dose sep through the skin... Then he of course kept tabs to make sure his plan worked and says she died and everyone bought the story and how his son was given to the gay couple.. he knows to keep tabs but wolfsbane is extremely poisonous so the amount he gave her would have definitely killed her.
Season 4 might be the final season and it's fitting if Joe finally gets caught or dies. If season 3 ended with Love dying then I can see a balance of Joe dying to wrap up the series.

We never find out what Love did with Delilah & Candance, there's a good chance she'll get the last laugh from beyond the grave by having set up a way to have Joe framed for the murders still.
I would have loved for Joe to break the cycle and manage to work things out with Love. Would be a great ending to the series if Love and Joe figured their problems out, got away with the murder and lived happily ever after. Maybe with a little flash forward to when Henry is old enough to go to college and Love and Joe killing somebody to get him into his dream college
I think a more dangerous person is someone who can smile on your face while plotting on how to kill you the entire time 😂 Love’s was blind rage which sadly happens everyday but Joe was an actual serial killer. He spent days and weeks plotting therefore you’d never know if it was you next. Not to mention he kills people for thinking he’s the psycho that he actually is
Goddamn it I liked Love! It was so sad to see her spiraling. But, she did just have a baby so she more than likely was dealing with postpartum depression or whatever on top of already being if not emotionally - mentally imbalanced. Anyways, it was entertaining seeing just how much she knew Joe. Understood his mind and processes. They were the same. Just a difference in experience levels. Nevertheless identical. Joe however progressively became less likable. That Goldberg charm hasn't been the same since season 1. Which I appreciate as the series shows more and more just how much of a *genuine monster* he is. It was an obvious end to a highly anticipated 3rd season. I'll miss Victoria's involvement. Love at least accepted her true self, while Joseph goes on to play pretend. Blaming others for why his life is so screwed up.

Season 2, Love mentions to Ellie that shed be a great chef in Paris. Something along those lines. Ellie is incredibly smart and knows everything about social media, news, what's in what's not, movies etc. No doubt she has been watching the news . I have a feeling she may return.. who knows in Paris. Where Joe is at now.
such a good ending explained, i watched an “ending explained” by another channel but all it did was summarize the ending. this one included a lot of interesting analyses and references, really diving into the subtle intentions of the show creators.
I dont think love is dead. She isnt stupid and i personally feel like she escaped the fire some how. She became such a likeable character in season 3. And she was too good. They cannot let her go.
One thing I have realized about this show is that it knows how to start and how to finish. In between is something that is dragged especially this season.

It's pretty sad that Love was dead at the end of this season. Am I the only one who feels pitty for her? Like, even though both of them cheated at each other, Love always wanted to get back to Joe, meanwhile all he wants is to get rid of their marriage. If Love had listened to her inner voice and chosed Theo instead of Joe, things would have been so much brighter than this. She did try so hard to protect her family, even in the most ridiculous way, which is understandable due to what she has gone through as a child... idk, it's just kinda sad for them all.
Also, if she had accepted Joe's proposal to separate amicably, things would have been different. Bha is an impulsive and very possessive woman, too emotional, this is what led her to death.

Season 1 had Beck who was honest, but naive to how toxic, manipulative and downright unhinged someone can get. And therefore became his victim. Season 2 had Love who was his mirror and understood his fantasy (someone he could "save" like an honorable knight) and actively manipulated things to fulfill that image (and in the end when it all came crashing down Joe was shocked and repulsed, but ultimately trapped by the promess of an idilic family) Season 3 both Joe and Love slowly realize that the fantasy they crave is not real (or not real most of the time) and search for escapism with other people (also it gets harder to make your murders justifiable when you live with your mirror image) I would like Season 4 to have someone who actively rejects a "fairytail" ending, "perfect family" or "the one" fantasies that Love and Joe had. Someone who is damaged but won't let themselves be put in the "damsel in distress" box Joe puts women into so he can save them.
I REALLY hope old characters with untied ends are key to the story in season 4, this is really the only way to correctly and beautifully end the show, and most likely become a fan favorite season if done right. I was VERY disappointed that this season, unlike season 2, barely acknowledged Joe's past actions. The previous 2 seasons don't play any significant role in the storyline or even script. The whole essence of this show is the insanity of it, Joe does the same thing over and over again expecting different results, the literal definition of insanity. The pattern is key to making the story an actual story rather than 4 stand-alone murder tales. There are so many suitable characters that could return to tie the entirety of the show together: Theo/ Matthew, Ellie, the PI from season 1, this 'half brother' even. All of these characters have been left alive with just enough information that collectively they could actually pin him for every single murder. Whichever character is revived should be shown contacting the other candidates listed previously in addition to Dr. Nicky, Peach's suspicious family, Paco, Matthew, Dottie Quinn, Marieanne, and most importantly JOE'S FAMILY! We could watch this character "stalking" Joe for a change, keeping trinkets of him for evidence, and digging around HIS past & personal life like we have seen Joe do to all his love interest victims. Tracking down his mother, half brother, and even the friend at the halfway house. This would be a super interesting insight to see how Joe would respond to being on the receiving end of his abusive behavior. To have his trama right in front of his face. The control dynamic would shift for the first time, which control was a big theme in the past 2 seasons. To see an uncalculated side of Joe and really demolish and believe left that he has mostly "pure intentions" for killing. This season if done right could and rightfully should be the last season, think breaking bad- you don't ruin a stellar storyline to pump out more seasons when in the end the 4-5 season well-written shows are ALWAYS more beloved and rewatched by fans than dragged out repetitive shows (cough cough walking dead). I really hope they do not try to pop out more the 5 seasons total and delay the large sum of karma joe has nipping at his ankles at this point in the story. Oh and there is one last element I would LOVE to see is at the end of season 4, like in previous seasons, we listen to snippets of a memoir being narrated over clips of events following the aftermath of Joe's actions. At the end of season 4, after the revived character has either killed or locked Joe up, we hear a unfamiliar adult male voice narrating a section of a book that is describing some all-over metaphor or poetic lesson that should be learned from the events of the story. While listening to this narration we see an outline (not yet the face) of the author who is reading from what seems to be his new book on a book tour. As the camera zooms out further we recognize the location as the book store from season one, then the clip cuts ( we are still listening to the author throughout this all) and the figure is in the same position but the background is different, he is now reading at the LA restaurant/ book store from season 2, then cut to the library in season 3. At the end of the narration, the camera moves to an angle to reveal the author's face, we see a man with a very similar resemblance to Joe himself and around a similar age. On the cover of the book he is holding, and on the book tour posters behind him, we read the name "Henry Ferguson" (Dante's last name). The entire story is connected through books and writing. From the first season to the last. Joe's son in the end only took one thing away from Joe and it was the love of books and writing. Since this is how Henry had to cope with being abandoned by his father as a baby.
Omg, same. Almost the entire season was focused on Joe bailing Love out, and helping her clean up her impulsive messes. I mean, neither of them were perfect by ANY means, but Love couldn't seem to grasp that it wasn't all Joe's fault, or take responsibility for *her* actions too. Drove me crazy.
Maybe because he cheated twice and stalked two women?? And never accepted her for who she was and instead manipulated her into making her believe they were on good terms while he was outside doing the most with his boss and plotting on how to take down her ex-husband to run away with Marianne and take Henry away from her to create a new family?? Everything love did was out of passion to protect and persevere her family. She uprooted her life to be with Joe. He married her just to go along with the fairytale and that's not fair. Joe couldn't control himself from idealizing the perfect woman when she was trying her best. besides Theo of course. Then again Joe emotional neglected Love, and Theo was the only one in the whole town that understood her emotionally.
I think there was an interesting concept to Love's character they explored this season where she devloped into believing she never makes mistakes and is always in the right. She blamed Dottie for evrything and unleashing the monster in her by being a shit mom, she believed she was the better parent for Henry despite clear instability, she didn't ciunt her affair with Theo to be a betrayal and so on. This season as we got to see more of her character I found that she was someone who can never truly accept or admit to the ugly side of theirself, much like Joe. Both her and Joe have justifications for their immoral actions - his always plays out for 'love' and hers seemed to play out as 'protecting' and 'preserving' those she loved- I found the parallels interesting as they really were the perfect match.

tbh the second season has got to be my favorite. This one felt like it was dragging and didn't keep me as hooked. Plus, the ending was freaking stupid.
i liked this season a lot but i hated the hacking family bullshit towards the end. Atleast the ending was fine and hopefully joe gets what he deserves.
It was a good season, but I was sad that love died because even though she was crazy she was a good mom. And poor Henry that had to be given away. Didn't get a chance to grow up with his real parents.
After this season, the theme is going to become old. Maybe what could be different is Joe confronting his mother if she’s still alive. She’s the main reason of Joe’s obsessions. Maybe confronting her and realizing what she did to him was wrong after seeing how she is could possibly open his eyes on why he has his fantasies. Possibly meeting his half brother as well.

Joe wanted to stop killing and live a simple life. Love was insecure and impulsive with her killing. They were both mirror images of each other. Also her behavior is indicative of parenting specifically from the mother's toxicity. Also Joe knew Love would try to kill him hence the contingencies he took. He outsmarted her.

Joe will never stop killing. He wants to stop cause he believes he will reach that happy ending that doesn’t exist. Every time that he finds out that the girl he’s obsessed with is not perfect like in his head and will never accept who he truly is (the only one that would accept him was love) he will always fall out of obsession with them and will kill again. He doesn’t accept his sick and that’s the real problem.
It’s bitter sweet love on gon be on here nomore but I do hope she come back as like a vision or something freaking joe tf out like how it was with beck but I hope they change his story up a little for 4 because we know what’s gonna happen he’s gonna end up killing merrine because she’s not gonna love him .. but idk because she said she was happy her ex was dead so idk he might finally get caught cause what happen to peaches parents lookin into her murder? Idk how this might go there’s so many possibilities it was a great season in my opinion best one yet 💯
I enjoyed the season. A few thoughts Id bounce off you guys, Joe cannot love love because she's too perfect for him. He hates the thing they share in common, that they are murderers. Joe is all about fantasy vs reality. He makes up a fantasy person based off his stalking, then as he actually gets to know them, it ruins it for him. Learning love was the same as him, in all the ways he doesn't like himself was the end of it. Love accept who she was, and who Joe was. But Joe couldn't accept either. He always says he has done bad things for the right person. That's barely an acknowledgment. Its like a sorry with a but. The first few episodes their was some debate over the name of the child, which seemly dropped of. I think it would have been some growth for either Joe to call him Forty to help love, or Love to declare him as Henry to show moving on.
Good season. The fact I felt bad for Joe due to my dislike for Love....those two actor/actress were phenomenal. But not really caring for a fourth season.
Yeah I feel like 2 seasons or maybe even this as the last season would've been best. If they wrap up next season well with Joe's consequences catching up to him, then I'll be satisfied

There’s a couple things I’m thinking about for season 4. At the end of season 3 they briefly show in a flashback that he has a half brother named Jacob. I also can’t shake that maybe Beck is still alive. The only “dead” character who’s body isn’t shown.
I knew Love was gonna die after she killed the neighbor. She was way to impulsive and unpredictable. Which is why this season had me on the edge of my seat. I hope there’ll be Emmy nominations after this.
Not confirmed as last, it might be. I think it depends on how popular the show remains. But I think the story can continue for more if Netflix want to keep it going.

I get how Love had to go. But I still wish he had not have to kill her. Love represented anyone who could go toe to toe with Joe. The rest were all helpless victims and easy prey. I am as tired about the helpless female victim trope as much as the danzle in distress trope. Love made it enjoyable to watch how she for a while had a grip on the situation and made Joe see who he was by showing him that she was the face of the same coin. Love’s last words were perfect.. because they really are perfect for each other. I was hoping they would both be exposed for the psychotic couple they are, like a Bonnie and Clyde love story, but Joe takes the win once again. This season was so chaotic that I forgot all about Ellie.
You have to remember that even though joe and love are the reason for Ellie being in the situation she’s in that them being narcissistic psychos means that they ultimately only care about themselves and Ellie was inevitably just collateral damage. Joe sent her money not for her benefit but for his in the sense that it made him feel like he was being a good person by helping her. He forgot about her because at the end of the day Joe is only out for himself and his actions only benefit himself and his ego. Once he found marienne he moved on to “helping” her because he gets off on being a savior and forgot about Ellie because he no longer needed those deeds to feed his ego.

She had an uncanny knowledge of Joe’s thought processes and motives and was extremely triggered by his manipulations. Anyone thinks that this season was way more brutal and mature than season 1 and 2? Cause I was left with big scars from this. At the beginning I was just thinking "aww, look how sweet are Love, Joe and little Henry together, like a family!" and then it got darker like "You" always does and the murderers started, so msny this time.
I thought we knew everything about Joe's childhood but seeing so many new flashbacks in this season just made a lot of sense, made me think we knew nothing about Joe, even though we listened to his inner monologue every time. The reason he was so afraid of being abandoned, the reason he's killing every bad person. I wish we knew what happened to his mom though cuz at this point I wouldn't be suprise to find that Joe killed her and her new son. And when the fu*k is Joe gonna learm that things ARE actually gonna be the same everytime?!
So many twisted news this season too. I really didn't wanna believe Love killed James. I mean, they seemed so happy, he was such a good man and Love didn't kill people she loves... But that changed in this season, my whole perspective changed. Now I can't stop wondering who is crazier, Joe or Love?

I came to think of one thing. Joe says in the last episode of season three that they tested the DNA in his toes and in season one, he forgot a jar of urine in Peach Salinger's house and her family's PI told Joe that they tested it but got no results, but now that they have his DNA from his toes they can see that the DNA from his toes and the jar of urine matches and they will understand that he was the one killing Peach.
Also, Peach's investigator was always kinda suspisious of Joe and he never really believed in Beck's death story

The difference is that Joe never really loved Love. She was only alive because of the baby. Joe tried to work it out , but in the end he had to admit to himself that he could never love her.

Season 4 might be the final season and it's fitting if Joe finally gets caught or dies. If season 3 ended with Love dying then I can see a balance of Joe dying to wrap up the series.

But, she did just have a baby so she more than likely was dealing with postpartum depression or whatever on top of already being if not emotionally - mentally imbalanced. Anyways, it was entertaining seeing just how much she knew Joe. Understood his mind and processes. They were the same. Just a difference in experience levels. Nevertheless identical. Joe however progressively became less likable. That Goldberg charm hasn't been the same since season 1. Which I appreciate as the series shows more and more just how much of a *genuine monster* he is.
It was an obvious end to a highly anticipated 3rd season. I'll miss Victoria's involvement. Love at least accepted her true self, while Joseph goes on to play pretend. Blaming others for why his life is so screwed up.

Season 2, Love mentions to Ellie that shed be a great chef in Paris. Something along those lines. Ellie is incredibly smart and knows everything about social media, news, what's in what's not, movies etc. No doubt she has been watching the news . When Natalie died the first episode, I knew it was going to be an amazing season.
such a good ending explained, i watched an “ending explained” by another channel but all it did was summarize the ending. this one included a lot of interesting analyses and references, really diving into the subtle intentions of the show creators.
I dont think love is dead. She isnt stupid and i personally feel like she escaped the fire some how. She became such a likeable character in season 3. And she was too good. They cannot let her go.

One thing I have realized about this show is that it knows how to start and how to finish. In between is something that is dragged especially this season.
Between the two of them. Love was more dangerous , she does things without thinking and then think after which is very dangerous. Because in her anger she will kill you and regret later . while Joe is a killer who wants a reason to kill you and will not regret even after killing you because ,in his mind he has reason.

It's pretty sad that Love was dead at the end of this season. Am I the only one who feels pitty for her? Like, even though both of them cheated at each other, Love always wanted to get back to Joe, meanwhile all he wants is to get rid of their marriage. If Love had listened to her inner voice and chosed Theo instead of Joe, things would have been so much brighter than this. She did try so hard to protect her family, even in the most ridiculous way, which is understandable due to what she has gone through as a child... idk, it's just kinda sad for them all.
Also, if she had accepted Joe's proposal to separate amicably, things would have been different. Bha is an impulsive and very possessive woman, too emotional, this is what led her to death.

Season 1 had Beck who was honest, but naive to how toxic, manipulative and downright unhinged someone can get. And therefore became his victim.
Season 2 had Love who was his mirror and understood his fantasy (someone he could "save" like an honorable knight) and actively manipulated things to fulfill that image (and in the end when it all came crashing down Joe was shocked and repulsed, but ultimately trapped by the promess of an idilic family)
Season 3 both Joe and Love slowly realize that the fantasy they crave is not real (or not real most of the time) and search for escapism with other people (also it gets harder to make your murders justifiable when you live with your mirror image)
I would like Season 4 to have someone who actively rejects a "fairytail" ending, "perfect family" or "the one" fantasies that Love and Joe had. Someone who is damaged but won't let themselves be put in the "damsel in distress" box Joe puts women into so he can save them.
I'm so impressed by how quickly you were able to analyze the many themes and callbacks in S3! This made me love You even more :D

I REALLY hope old characters with untied ends are key to the story in season 4, this is really the only way to correctly and beautifully end the show, and most likely become a fan favorite season if done right. I was VERY disappointed that this season, unlike season 2, barely acknowledged Joe's past actions. The previous 2 seasons don't play any significant role in the storyline or even script. The whole essence of this show is the insanity of it, Joe does the same thing over and over again expecting different results, the literal definition of insanity. The pattern is key to making the story an actual story rather than 4 stand-alone murder tales. There are so many suitable characters that could return to tie the entirety of the show together: Theo/ Matthew, Ellie, the PI from season 1, this 'half brother' even. All of these characters have been left alive with just enough information that collectively they could actually pin him for every single murder. Whichever character is revived should be shown contacting the other candidates listed previously in addition to Dr. Nicky, Peach's suspicious family, Paco, Matthew, Dottie Quinn, Marieanne, and most importantly JOE'S FAMILY! We could watch this character "stalking" Joe for a change, keeping trinkets of him for evidence, and digging around HIS past & personal life like we have seen Joe do to all his love interest victims. Tracking down his mother, half brother, and even the friend at the halfway house. This would be a super interesting insight to see how Joe would respond to being on the receiving end of his abusive behavior. To have his trama right in front of his face. The control dynamic would shift for the first time, which control was a big theme in the past 2 seasons. To see an uncalculated side of Joe and really demolish and believe left that he has mostly "pure intentions" for killing. This season if done right could and rightfully should be the last season, think breaking bad- you don't ruin a stellar storyline to pump out more seasons when in the end the 4-5 season well-written shows are ALWAYS more beloved and rewatched by fans than dragged out repetitive shows (cough cough walking dead). I really hope they do not try to pop out more the 5 seasons total and delay the large sum of karma joe has nipping at his ankles at this point in the story. Oh and there is one last element I would LOVE to see is at the end of season 4, like in previous seasons, we listen to snippets of a memoir being narrated over clips of events following the aftermath of Joe's actions. At the end of season 4, after the revived character has either killed or locked Joe up, we hear a unfamiliar adult male voice narrating a section of a book that is describing some all-over metaphor or poetic lesson that should be learned from the events of the story. While listening to this narration we see an outline (not yet the face) of the author who is reading from what seems to be his new book on a book tour. As the camera zooms out further we recognize the location as the book store from season one, then the clip cuts ( we are still listening to the author throughout this all) and the figure is in the same position but the background is different, he is now reading at the LA restaurant/ book store from season 2, then cut to the library in season 3. At the end of the narration, the camera moves to an angle to reveal the author's face, we see a man with a very similar resemblance to Joe himself and around a similar age. On the cover of the book he is holding, and on the book tour posters behind him, we read the name "Henry Ferguson" (Dante's last name). The entire story is connected through books and writing. From the first season to the last. Joe's son in the end only took one thing away from Joe and it was the love of books and writing. Since this is how Henry had to cope with being abandoned by his father as a baby.

I was sitting there the entire time wondering as to how exactly Love could blame Joe for their marriage failing.
Omg, same. Almost the entire season was focused on Joe bailing Love out, and helping her clean up her impulsive messes. I mean, neither of them were perfect by ANY means, but Love couldn't seem to grasp that it wasn't all Joe's fault, or take responsibility for *her* actions too. Drove me crazy.
Maybe because he cheated twice and stalked two women?? And never accepted her for who she was and instead manipulated her into making her believe they were on good terms while he was outside doing the most with his boss and plotting on how to take down her ex-husband to run away with Marianne and take Henry away from her to create a new family?? Everything love did was out of passion to protect and persevere her family. She uprooted her life to be with Joe. He married her just to go along with the fairytale and that's not fair. Joe couldn't control himself from idealizing the perfect woman when she was trying her best. besides Theo of course. Then again Joe emotional neglected Love, and Theo was the only one in the whole town that understood her emotionally.
I think there was an interesting concept to Love's character they explored this season where she devloped into believing she never makes mistakes and is always in the right. She blamed Dottie for evrything and unleashing the monster in her by being a shit mom, she believed she was the better parent for Henry despite clear instability, she didn't ciunt her affair with Theo to be a betrayal and so on. This season as we got to see more of her character I found that she was someone who can never truly accept or admit to the ugly side of theirself, much like Joe. Both her and Joe have justifications for their immoral actions - his always plays out for 'love' and hers seemed to play out as 'protecting' and 'preserving' those she loved- I found the parallels interesting as they really were the perfect match.

joe wasn’t gonna kill love, he was prepared to walk away with a co-parenting relationship for Henry but was prepared in the event Love tried to kill him which she did. while pre-meditated, he acted in self defense

tbh the second season has got to be my favorite. This one felt like it was dragging and didn't keep me as hooked. Plus, the ending was freaking stupid.

It was a good season, but I was sad that love died because even though she was crazy she was a good mom. And poor Henry that had to be given away. Didn't get a chance to grow up with his real parents.
After this season, the theme is going to become old. Maybe what could be different is Joe confronting his mother if she’s still alive. She’s the main reason of Joe’s obsessions.
Maybe confronting her and realizing what she did to him was wrong after seeing how she is could possibly open his eyes on why he has his fantasies. Possibly meeting his half brother as well.
But he already confronted her in the flashback. Told him to move on because she made too many mistakes w him

Joe wanted to stop killing and live a simple life. Love was insecure and impulsive with her killing. They were both mirror images of each other. Also her behavior is indicative of parenting specifically from the mother's toxicity. Also Joe knew Love would try to kill him hence the contingencies he took. He outsmarted her.
Joe pulled a joe literally two seconds after moving to the suburbs. Then once his neighbour was dead he fell for yet ANOTHER woman! The dudes a sociopathic gaslighter.

Joe will never stop killing. He wants to stop cause he believes he will reach that happy ending that doesn’t exist. Every time that he finds out that the girl he’s obsessed with is not perfect like in his head and will never accept who he truly is (the only one that would accept him was love) he will always fall out of obsession with them and will kill again. He doesn’t accept his sick and that’s the real problem.

A few thoughts Id bounce off you guys,
Joe cannot love love because she's too perfect for him. He hates the thing they share in common, that they are murderers. Joe is all about fantasy vs reality. He makes up a fantasy person based off his stalking, then as he actually gets to know them, it ruins it for him. Learning love was the same as him, in all the ways he doesn't like himself was the end of it. Love accept who she was, and who Joe was. But Joe couldn't accept either. He always says he has done bad things for the right person. That's barely an acknowledgment. Its like a sorry with a but.
The first few episodes their was some debate over the name of the child, which seemly dropped of. I think it would have been some growth for either Joe to call him Forty to help love, or Love to declare him as Henry to show moving on.

There’s a couple things I’m thinking about for season 4. At the end of season 3 they briefly show in a flashback that he has a half brother named Jacob. I also can’t shake that maybe Beck is still alive. The only “dead” character who’s body isn’t shown.
