Did anyone else think that The Doctor's boss fight was underwhelming? Like all we had to do was run around in a maze dodging robots, he is a literal computer embeded program and he died just by us putting 3 batteries
As someone who fought giant eel inside it and destroy its heart while being attacked by parasite inside of it, not really, in fact doctor reminds me to that eels (midgardsom from ocean hunter) I mean doctor is not skibidy toilet TV character, he is the Factory himself, the biggest experiment
i’m highly confident, with how much Bioshock has influenced this game, that his boss fight was heavily inspired by Dr. Gilbert Alexander’s from Bioshock 2. in that ‘fight’ you run around a large lab as Gilbert sits in a similar large red tank, maniac at this stage. you collect pieces of equipment to shut his tank down, but there’s also heavily armoured mini bosses to fight along the way - similar to the sentinels. even visually the fight scenes look almost identical, and both doctors show themselves through televisions,,
The fact that Hartley Sawyer is THE BIGGEST VILLAIN OF THE ENTIRE GAME and he was a boss for one chapter is just underwhelming. Expected way more for that type of a character and this chapter in general
Why would you stretch him out for more than 2 chapters? Generally, since he's always in contact with you he's going to get old fast just like Mommy. Especially since the omni-hand is literally required and he's gatekeeping it.
I saw someone say that the reason his boss fight was like this was cause it portrays his character well. He sent pawn after pawn after us, bending to the will of the Prototype but he himself never had any power. He never confronted us personally, he only made these things to go after us. He was just a brain in a jar, he was never a toy like the others meaning he never really had the power to stop us personally. He was simply a pawn in all of this
TV dude? Bro he is the entire Factory himself, the TV dude (named Harley body) is just Walking screen that allow him to move without risking his organ, I watch the fanmade video of his death who is just Destruction of his robot but im reality it doesn't matter, Harley is not trapped inside TV, the TV is just access, if one robot is broken he can use the other one
bro wdym he's not using a controller to use the robots, you can already see his brain inside the tv thing in the main room and at the end, poppy said the doctor was dead so he was turned into one and not accessing it
@@BoopidKadoopid and don't forget Harley not only control robot but also the entire Factory, he close the entrance door to prison, release red smoke, freezing doey, stunning our purple hand with trap and more
Ok, so these were some of the weaker deaths aside from Doey, the doctor just gets electrocuted and fried and stuff, doey gets a sad and rather disturbing death it seems, Yarnaby just spontaneously combusts and falls? And Pianosaurus got beaten to a pulp... yeah, chapters 2 and 3 had better deaths
Just a disclaimer. I am well aware not everyone will agree, I am just sharing my opinion. Personally, there was something about this chapter I just didn’t like. To the way Yarnaby moved around like a robot and clipped through the floor, to having health mechanics to having objectives pop up on screen. I feel like it took away from the chaotic nature of the game, the fear of the unknown, the horror element. This chapter felt like I was watching Dying Light | Poppy Playtime Edition. Don’t get me wrong, the game is good and it looks phenomenal, there were things that were done fantastic. I just feel something was missing in this chapter, or rather something was taken away. A magic that is prominent in the story and gameplay prior to Chapter 4.
THANK GOD IM NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT NOTICED THAT. The animations look cluncky and not natural at all, just look at Yarnaby chasing us, completelly still, not to mention that they promissed the darkest chapter, yes the lore did get darker, mainly with doey, but i was expecting many more bigger bodies specially in the safe haven. Having those "Feral" and dangerous creatures being some small plushie that you can kick it like a soccer ball and that just get scared of a little light is awful. Disapointing imo
@tsr-gtr That and the same model being used for every dead body around Playtime… It’s hard to feel immersed when all of this is happening and I can see the black mound they put underneath the toy piles to make it seem like it was just mountains of toys.
This chapter was disappointing...not gonna lie....I thought harley sawyer would most likely be invincible, like control everything and give orders without getting damaged in anyway, doey being able to shipshift in literally anything he wants, yarnaby being a major threat along with pianosaurus, giving player the toughest time, but sadly it did not live upto the expectations...I thought maybe doey and harley would make it to the next chapter...they died too early they had A LOT of potential...
i feel like this chapter focused mostly on the lore and background instead making the puzzles hard and the chases exciting, which i think is pretty good because now we know the reasons behind all of the corruption of the factory and the previous victims.. this is probably my 2nd favorite chapter of the series so far 🙏🏾
Gotta disagree, because you are going to end up just killing Prototype chapter 5, a 5th chapter was the most they could stretch it out to before it just starts getting repetitive. Also lore-wise it would be generally stupid to just make him invincible, yarnaby was also a major threat considering he was the main one pursuing you for most of these.
Making Harley invincible wouldn’t make much sense. Also, Harley isn’t the big bad of the game, that’s The Prototype. Harley was hyped for the game a lot, but I feel like the final section of his boss could’ve been more involved. I didn’t even notice he died because I went up the stairs.
I just played it but this chapter is definitely not as scary as chapter 3 I still believe catnap and miss delight are still the scariest characters they’ve introduced, yarnaby, pianosaurus, and the doctor were all very disappointing, the one saving grace was doey but because of his sad backstory I don’t find him scary at all
One of the problem with the game is that the characters died too soon and creators should have spent more time on making the game, this chapter could have been great like chapter 3 but the game seems a little low budget and like they rushed to make it, creators could have made the game better, there were many characters who all had great potential, especially the doctor who is actually the villain of the chapter, if the creators used the doctor and other characters correctly, the result would have been like catnap and everyone would enjoy the game. im just afraid this might be dangerous for poppy playtime just hope they make chapter 5 as good as possible like chapter 3
it could’ve been that Yarnaby was directly above the boiler and the heat was too much or constantly moving against the chain could’ve caused the yarn on Yarnaby to catch fire
I really wish The Doctor had a more intense battle since he was easily the most intimidating and powerful villain we've seen yet and even had the balls to smack talk the Prototype when he refused to give him lab access and because he knows our weakness and our advantages and so he takes advantage of that and actively interfers to counter us like when he electrified the purple pad or bar to disable our grab pack or when he knew we were going to use our hand to open the door so he sprayed nitrogen onto the button which froze our hand in place just to be defeated from sending too much power to his brain casing thing
Its sad you can tell that Henry (forgot if this was his name or not) is the one dies when the drill lands on them. Jake died with the crying im sorry and Matthew died with the last im sorry when Doey's death scene plays. You can see how all 3 died and its so sad.
Pianosauras's death was so disapointing. They made a whole trailer about a character that has no inpact on the game whatsoever. I was hoping we would at least have to run from him.
This is the worst chapter of all, The Doctor's boss fight was underwhelming, Yarnaby acted like a robot and his chase only last 30 seconds, Mob Games also wasted Pianosaurus, one of the best designs, by only giving him 15 seconds to die
Something i wish we did after doeys death is that we took his hat at the end and actually got a fucking voice line and say “it’s not your fault man it was are’s” This game makes no sense without voice lines imo
My rooms entity a-399s death is sadder than doeys because they get burnt and then the ceiling lights and the walls fall on it and it Shoots one final guide light
Am i alone who thinks that doey death is bullshit, i mean how the fuck could plasticine guy die from drill if he can collapse to lots of small pieces of himself? He must come back!
I mean they deliberately freeze him which is shown to be a weakness but he literally survives it earlier in the chapter. But I agree the dough isn’t destroyed it’s just misplaced
@geckohunter123 im more than sure that he can just separate some part of himself and keep living, his death was very illogical. It could be better if developers could make that player just set Doey on fire so he'll just become statue and crack because his material will dry and stop being that stretchy...
Pianosaurus isn’t a boss battle can someone please tell these people who made the thumbnails the definition of a boss we don’t even see the guy for less than 20 seconds.
Doey’s death was definitely the most graphic it even hurts more on remembering he was helping us throughout the game and trusted us.
Yeah
Damn the Prototype for setting us up!
Yeah but he kinda deserves it
Tbh he sounds like yellow face when we first actually meet him
I think the reading he attacked was because he’s made of three kids, with one of them being super aggressive.

The doey guy just reminds me of a Disney character
Doey had to manage three personalities at once.. he was a fusion…!
