I think Vanessa Carlton is the background vocals in this song. Vanessa Carlton did a cover song duet of Joni Mitchell's Big Yellow Taxi with Counting Crows on this album.

This song brings me back to my childhood.. Tonight i danced to this song with my 2 year old daughter and i felt like a little girl dancing in my room with my sister like before. So many fond memories held in this one song, counting crows were my childhood! Feeling very nostalgic :)

No one seems to be referring to the song, which is absolutely brilliant, one of the greatest pop songs I've ever heard. The song describes emotions and attitudes, things about American girls that are a helluva lot deeper than outward appearance and in a country of 300+ million people, there is an abundance of beautiful American girls, in all shapes and sizes.

They are a very good band, but they are underappreciated and they don't necessarily fit in with the metal crowd or the country crowd. I think they have always had identity issues as a band because they never really fit in with what was going on in the mainstream at this time.

ya i understand i just typed it in on a converter haha. All i know is 0 Celsius and 32 Fahrenheit are the same. So many people think that we have winter all year and we live in igloos and stuff but were very similar to the States. Sounds like you have similar weather to us, but i think here it stays cold for more of the year.
