The one Bubblegum in a pot was such a great budget-friendly idea! I have kind of a boring patio that just back up to the lower lever of my split level house, and when I got the idea from Aaron, I put three big pots I already owned spaced out along the back of the patio next to the house, and popped one supertunia bubblegum in each pot, and they got so big and beautiful that I could enjoy them from inside the house looking out the windows to the backyard, and it made the patio look friendly and inviting! Thanks for being willing to try something different and unconventional like one plant in one pot.

We spent most of the time searching out fun activities for the kids, but I also was able to squeeze in some reading time as well. 🙌 That said, we won’t have a new video up for you Friday (tomorrow), but will be back to our normal posting schedule on Monday!

Loved all of the honey bees! Fun fact, honey bees will travel up to four miles to forage, and it's based on the quality of the nectar and pollen, not the distance. I keep about 10 hives of my own and it's amazing to see what the bees prefer flower-wise different times of the year. You two were talking about the distance bees fly a couple of videos ago, and I've been wanting to comment ❤. The bees in your yard could be feral bees in a tree someplace or from a maintained hive within a couple of miles. So much fun!

I love this insight! Are there big turf wars between honey bees and bumblebees? I noticed more honey bees on my salvia early in the season and then bumblebees were more prominent as it got hotter.

I went out on a limb early this spring and decided to plant hanging baskets and 30 inch pots around our town Square. I was able to get water hookups on each side and after watching your videos about the bubblegum petunias I went with those. I am so glad I did! They look great and there have been so many compliments on how much better everything looks because of the flowers. Thanks I appreciate you and your channel.

Laura and Aaron, I enjoyed the 10 pot tour. All of them are beautiful! The big THING that got to me is how well the locust trees are doing, especially the tree that split! Aaron you really saved that tree! I remember how heartbroken Laura was and how you worked on the cabling and pulled that tree back together. Your determination and research to do it right saved the tree! And the trees are beautiful!

I am in Utah and my garden was decimated by hail on Tuesday evening so now more than ever, I am loving all the lushness and beauty from your gardens, Laura! I wonder if you ever worry about that kind of devastation happening to your property? It was not even on my radar!

Watching you up high in the sky on that ladder made my heart skip a beat. You are so strong. The array of containers in the lane is a joy to behold. Big salvia with the dusty miller is my fav. I love that dusty miller foliage color.

What a beautiful difference after pruning those trees! My husband pruned the huge fir tree in our back yard recently and I'm loving the extra light and view!

Laura’s last pot definitely wins the award for most improved! When do your trees start putting on some fall foliage? I know some areas out west start even in the beginning of September!

I live in south Louisiana and we have oaks surrounded our two story Greek revival style home with dormer windows on top. We just bought our own man lift that moves around on its own trailer. From sunbelt in Dallas. We will be able to paint dormers, trim trees, maintain roof after hurricanes etc. we think it’s well spent money. We also have a camp here we can maintain anytime. We think in the long run we will save money! Love this channel! Ty!

Funny my husband often times wonders how I stay in shape….. my reply has always been try gardening , well this year I was down w/ surgery for the first months of the season and he pitched in and let me tell you , his words “ wow I don’t know how you do it, I know now how you stay in shape” 😂 poor guy needed a gallon of water to hydrate just to pull weeds! I’m back now not 100% but I credit gardening to my quick recovery and peace of mind❤❤❤❤ thanks Laura for unlocking a core memory 😂😂😂

I agree with Aaron about the containers. The container with just one plant looks the best. The others look disjointed and a bit distracting imo. The one plant for me is the way to go.

I can’t help but see “Wilson” when I see the vivid orchid and the grass planter! lol, and it is my favorite planter.

Container contest: I love the purple one (#4) and the shade one (#10). Honorable mention to Aaron’s #5 because I actually like the look of just the green sweet potato vine looking so healthy, but I know he put other plants in there that are getting swallowed up.

Gonna say 8/4/2 are my favorites! You’re right that would have been beautiful to do a burgundy grass with bubblegum!!
