Sorry for the late reply, but thank you. One of my goals was to convey my emotions about the show in my edits and I am happy to know I have accomplished it. It almost feels like an accomplishment to make a viewer cry, (is it?)
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’ve taken a break from Turn editing and recently thought that I’d reply to some of the comments recently left and rewatch some of my old edits and it reminded me of why I did what I did. (Editing on instagram became monotonous and I didn’t feel creative in the same way as I did with my longer “cinematic” edits.) I’m going to college soon and have kind of gone through a career crisis (I want to do something in the media industry but not 110% sure what) and seeing all of the kind edits and remembering all of the emotion shared through edits (and the way I arranged clips I didn’t even create🙈) reminded me of why I liked editing and why it was so special to me✨I’m glad me sharing how I wanted things to go in Turn and my emotions with the show has impacted you and so many well. It has been a labor of love and creativity💕
That was kind of the intent haha, when I first watched Turn I used editing to convey the strong emotions I had about the show and characters (especially certain characters as I bet you’ve noticed😉). I’m glad to know that I successfully conveyed my emotions through editing and made someone experience some of the emotions I have! (It’s a powerful thing)
My pleasure😁 haha. I said this in another comment but I started editing to convey my emotions about the show and I am glad to have successfully convey them through editing. And thank you for your compliment! :)
Ok I understand they are following some historical truth but they just HAD to kill off my favorite character of the show, destroy my favorite romance in the show, BUT SIMCOE IS STILL ALIVE! Coooooolllll
I was pissed about that, too. I mean, obviously, they couldn't have done the show real justice without killing Andre as it had to happen as much as we all despise it - but - there's plenty of others who didn't even die, that died, but they left Simcoe alive. Simcoe's character is by farthest the most distruth in the entire series, as well. Abe's father never died, nor did Nathan Sackett. I'm thinking, hey, if we're going to kill some people who didn't die - let's give it to this Simcoe guy who is unjustly not like his real counterpart anyhow! lol.
I knew from the beginning John was going to die (history nerd hehe🤓) but it still very much hurt (a lot) especially since they tied PEGGY and their relationship into the show (it was something I first learned about watching the show) it just made it hurt worse😫
And of course Simcoe had to survive... out of all the characters and great ones who died (André, Sacket, etc.) but I think he’s a changed man. But I have a compilation of all of the times he SHOULD’VE died and came VERY close to that I may post.
@@turncoatedits2278 Yeah! I also knew he was going too, but it didn't make it any less terrible. I'm also a history buff. I'm reading a book on John Andre right now actually. It's of the theory that Peggy-John was more involved then history tells us - if not during the Arnold Saga, before. It's written clearly from the British Perspective but I am anxious to wrap it up and see what it claims. Much of the help in research, photos, was done by one of John's decedents also a Major and also named John Andre! I'll let you know when I am finished if I think what he pushes at holds any weight.
I totally agree with your first sentence!😫 I haven’t read any literature about André (let alone him and Peggy) but I wish you luck on your book and that it has a conclusion that doesn’t make you go insane! (Because that totally happens in non fiction too). I’d love to know the conclusion! Let me know what happens.
Ugh, that scene where Peggy and Arnold are having sex for the first time, but she is face down crying while holding Andre's braid was friggin' grim....
Casting was just perfect.
The heartfelt pain comes through greatly. Terrific work even if it did make me cry

Turn Coat Edits you have definitely fulfilled your goal! Thank you for your time... and for the work that you have done so well...

Thank you for making me cry.
You’re welcome
Never watched the show and I'm crying. Congratulations on this video!!!
Wow. You just ripped my heart out.
...
Thank you.

André was loved by the British and respected by Americans. André should have never been executed.
Agreed😫
This was so sad. I cried .. 😥 even though he was on the other side.
Yep, it was still hard💔
I love this!! Wonderful editing and the song matches so perfectly! Awesome!:)
Thanks for breaking my heart
also this is beautiful

Seriously heart breaking😫💔💔
It was amazing!! She loved every moment of it!! Dam right Skippy!!
They could have waited till the end to kill Andre they did it too early... God damn it
I mean, time wise historically it was his time in the show to die, but it didn’t make it hurt any less. But I would take more André anyways.
i really like it!! can you make one with everyone?
It’s hard to think about this
It really is😭
