Realizzazione di un Flight Case per il pesante amplificatore valvolare per chitarra Fender "The Twin" (Red Knob), uno strumento a cui tengo particolarmente, datato 1992.

How much larger do you need to cut your panels compared to the dimensions of your amp to account for foam and aluminum rails?
Sorry for the delay. I design my FCs in Autocad, I calculate the external measurements based on the thickness of the external panels and foam panels, the measurements are established during the design phase.
@@TheMusemush if I was using 3/8” plywood and 1” foam would I be making the plywood cuts 1” bigger on all sides? any guidance would be helpful, even an educated guess
@@emobandito I don't think I have understood correctly. If the doubts concern the measurements of the plywood and foam panels, it is necessary to proceed in a simple way: take the exact measurements of the object that must be inside and on those projects the FC taking into account the thickness of the foam. The important thing is to calculate the measurements of the inside of the FC, not the outside. For example, if I have to make a FC for a cube measuring 500mm per side and I want to use 20mm foam, the INTERNAL measurements of the FC will be 520mm for each inner face.
ciao....intanto complimentoni per il lavoro fatto! ti volevo chiedere un consiglio....ho un workcase per backline con 2 farfalle più o meno come quella del tuo baule....dovendo fare una tournèe all'estero, covid permettendo, volevo inserire qualcosa per mettere un lucchetto e imbarcarlo in aereo.....mi consigli di sostituire completamente la farfalla e mettere quella con i 2 anelli o posso inventarmi qualcosa? grazie 1000!!!!
Io aggiungerei semplicemente due chiusure drawbolt in acciaio con asola per lucchetto, cercale sul sito del mio fornitore con i codici 1602 e 1603. www.smithandsons.it

PROPRIO UN BEL LAVORETTO... la pannellatura è da 9 mm, se non sbaglio. ottima, resistente e meno pesante del 12 mm.

@@TheMusemush esatto. lavoro il legno da una vita... comunemente si ritiene che a spessore maggiore corrisponda elevata affidabilità ma tutto sta nella lavorazione. e la tua mi pare impeccabile.
@@lastorianostra8173 grazie molte, ci ho provato anche in questa occasione.. Ogni volta mi accorgo di qualcosa che si potrebbe ancora migliorare durante le diverse fasi di realizzazione. Ma il bello è anche quello ❤️

Anche a me servirebbe un flight case per il mio amplificatore Fender Champion 40, quanto mi viene a costare?
Mi è capitato di realizzarne qualcuno su commissione ma è da un pò che non lo faccio per mancanza di tempo.
