I have the vinyl album. Way back when there was a thing called “back masking”. The backwards speaking as he calls it actually says “The music is reversible but time isn’t. Turn back, turn back”. If you have the vinyl record you can hear it for yourself. Jeff Lynne and ELO are awesome. ABC’s “Wide World of Sports” used the guitar solo and drums on their program decades ago.

It wasn't ABC's Wide World of Sports, it was CBS Sports Special. From 1976 to 1978, the show used the "rocking portion" portion of "Fire On High" for their theme. The show was later renamed CBS Sports Spectacular, and they changed the music to an excerpt from "Fanfare for the Common Man" by Aaron Copeland (which was stylized after the version of the song done by Emerson Lake & Palmer.

I had the same idea, but one of my grandsons is autistic so i didnt know if it would go down too well? I love this tune and have always loved it. Your grandson is a credi to you. Well done for being honest with your playing capabilities. Not sure of the key as i have tried to play it.

We work with autistic people all the time. My grandson is on the spectrum, and he did fine. Your grandson would do fine as well. I'll be doing more with him in the future, too.
