Many of the top players are very close in skill level. Anybody can win on the day it all depends on rhythm readiness and of course a little bit of luck always helps.
Of course myself being Chinese I would always like to see a Chinese player win when playing against someone from another country but I always respect the other player as they could always also be the winner in the match.

In their level, no one can definitely win. It’s a matter of execution of strategy and also whose day it is. All 50:50.

I think Lin Yun ju can beat Truls. So does felix. If anyone of them, either Felix or Lin Yun ju is in the top bracket instead of the bottom bracket. Its very likely that either of them could make it to the final and get a silver. No hate for truls. It would definitely be tougher, if Truls has to face WCQ and Lin Yun ju or WCQ and Felix. It would be very difficult to go to the final.

@@markterrin8673 yea, if Lin Yun Ju had been assigned to be same brackets as Truls. Imagine when Truls beat WCQ. His next match is Lin Yun Ju. It would be most likely Lin Yun Ju could beat Truls. Because Lin Yun Ju is a very good player. And because Truls used quite some stamina to beat WCQ. It looks like Lin Yun Ju could have like a 50% Chance of going to the final if he is in the upper bracket. All he needs is to avoid facing WCQ in the first 2 rounds. Then he will have a very good chance of reaching the final. It's unfortunate that he didn't get any medal yet again. If I didn't remember wrongly, was he the one who almost beat the German guy for the bronze medal game in Tokyo 2020 Olympics. But got reversed sweep? That's so unlucky man. All he need is to get the correct bracket and he has a chance. I think skill wise. He is a bit better than Truls, in my opinion. I am not sure if he can win any medal in 2028 Olympics. I think it would be a bit difficult because either way he would have to face a china opponent to even reach the final in 2028. But time will tell. I do believe he could maybe get a bronze medal in 2028. But of course I am not sure lol. He is definitely a good player.

It’s easier to get the second place at the Olympics than at the Chinese National Championship. Truls knows it quite well.

@@maggie5655 My comment was based on Truls own statement after taking part in a Chinese National tournament. Truls had a terrific performance but do not forget that Wang had disputed the mix double final less than 12 hours before and that counts at major levels of any sport. Till that day the head to head was 8-0 in WANG favor.
@@maggie5655 the thing about tournaments other than the olympics or any other ITTF or WTT tournaments there are 4-5 or more chinese player in the draw, so you basically have to beat 2 chinese you you want to just reach the final and there will be a chinese waiting in the final.
Truls did beat wang chuqin but there is no way he is beating 2 chinese in the same tournaments
For non chinese player Olympic is basically the easier/easiest tournaments to play since there is only 2 chinese and you can assure atleast a bronze or silver(if you beat 1 chinese)

The Chinese spectators have only one cheer: the players name plus "jia you" (literally 'add oil')- it is ear piercing and annoying. One would think that a country with a billion people could come up with more than one cheer.

Be careful not to win. Moregard tends to throw his racket at his opponent if he can't win.
