“4 days in the office, 1 day remote, so we are pretty flexible.” Bruh….
It's in Arlington, TX. May as well go into the office for Day 5 anyway.
To be fair he says "you do have a little bit of flexibility". It's not like he's misrepresenting it or acting as if its some full WFH setup.
😂
Thank you so much Dimitri! I am very grateful for your guidance throughout these years. You are really doing a service and helping change people's lives for the better. I hope that I can work with you!
Hey Dimitri, been a fan of the channel for a while. You should consider hiring on an intern for model implementation/quant dev. I’d love to come on as a reoccurring intern/co-op and be trained at Agora and work with you full-time after graduation. I understand if you’re not looking for interns though. Great video as always!
Submitted! Hope to get interview with you guys!
by Anak Wannaphaschaiyong here. :)
Would you take on a mobile developer with 5 yoe with a math degree and 3 grad courses under his belt?
I'm also interested in a part time non-paid internship, but it would need to be fully remote.. im based in nyc
do you offer relocation assistance for US citizens if they do not currently have residence in Arlington?
Yes
Sir , are there any internships (not necessarily paid), I am a prefinal year student doing my bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) , I am good in C, C++ , Python I want to start my career in Quant and algorithmic trading. I believe that I hace a strong foundation in linear algebra ,calculus & machine learning. I am willing to learn the missing skills (if any)
As of now I am not planning on hiring interns.
Oh okay ,@@DimitriBianco , Thanks for the reply
Hi Dimitri, I’m currently in undergrad studying cs and Econ. I’m currently taking mqf courses during undergrad. What projects do you recommend to better my chances landing a Quantitive role when graduating grad school. I would like to work in risk management as well.
I'd be a great candidate on a lot of the needs... except I don't have experience with C
This absolutely an amazing opportunity!! 😊😊 ... I would love to give my best shot. Submitted!
Hi Dimitri this is Narasimha while I am applying this job I have facing some problems, can you please tell how to apply this job as fresher recently completed my Master 's in Statistics
Hello, I am just wondering if masters in engineering falls into the category in the job ads for quantitative researchers when it does not mention specifically financial engineering, it might list math, statistics, engineering, and so forth.
Financial engineers aren't the same as true engineers. It is possible to be a true engineer and get a quant job but the biggest hurdle is being able to show how your skills apply to the job. Most companies don't want to do excessive training and usually look for people with some base finance knowledge along with a STEM degree related to the story of modeling they are doing.
@@DimitriBianco Thank you, Dimitri, for your detailed response. So, if possible, it's best to get a master's in financial engineering or math in order to get into quantitative research types of jobs.
Awesome position. I think I'd love to know whether the end users want the result to be dashboard-ish, python package-ish or excel worksheet-ish.
You mention SQL, so databases, Python I'm guess for mockups and C for actual production code?
Models are implemented such that an API can push data to the model which scores it and the sends the results (usually a numerical score) to the end user. All this occurs in software DeFi Solutions. These are the external applications. We also utilize internal tools from models which just use VBA to run the Python code and push back data which is saved into csv files.
@@DimitriBianco so you use Cython for Speeding up code, or are you doing Python for mock-ups and C for production?
That also sounds like a very nice setup. Do you do VBA - cmd/bat - Python or do you have a way to do VBA - Python. I’ve also heard the new excel should be able to do Python inside Excel. Maybe my employer just hasn’t gotten around to getting that version of excel.
@ctolcode we just use cython inside of python for speed. For VBA, it calls python which opens and runs the file and then saves the output to csv for the business.
What’s the salary range Dimitri?
I wish you did this as Livestream.
You are the real deal man
Wish i lived in the US
Please enforce WFO for all days. Do not allow WFH. You lose concentration.
