I think there isn’t room for them given how tight they have the grip region. They’d have to go with a width similar to the Steam Deck’s for it to be usable and/or comfortable. The Deck’s placement is such that you can effortlessly use them without a thought when you raise your thumbs off the the joysticks. So even if this device had the width, near the bottom of the device would be super uncomfortable to use without basically changing your entire grip to use that specifically. Usability, not just throwing hardware at a thing, matters.

    • @cheeeeezewizzz
      @cheeeeezewizzz Год назад

This should be about 10-15% more powerful. That's typical for these APU jumps. A 20-25% jump would be very impressive, but not really worth it to me as I bought a 6800u device. A 50% jump would mean If I can hit 1080p 30 fps on a game with a 6800u I would be able to hit about 45 fps on that new device. Id gain 15fps. A ten to 15% jump is just 3-4.5 fps.
A 50% jump could be the different between playing a game at 20fps and 30fps, but that kind of jump is unlikely and unusual. A ten percent increase in power would only bring it up by 2 fps to 22 fps.
So a 50% increase honestly isn't that dramatic imo. After buying in at a 6800u this won't enable any games I can't play, it won't do anything mine can't, it will just play a very games I have to run with fsr at slightly higher resolutions, but honestly, I wouldn't even do that. I'd keep it as low as possible anyways. So....what would be the point? Maybe I can push the settings justa. tiny bit more....but it's the same game anyways....wtf do I care? I've got waaaaay too much stuff to spend money on to care that one handheld can do slightly better settings lol.
I suggest buying one that tickles your fancy, and then deleting all of these channels from your RUclips for a minimum of 2 years. Otherwise they will have you thinking every one is a major improvement when they are not. Every 2 to 3 years would be pretty reasonable if you have the money to blow as an upgrade cycle. You'll be happier, trust me.

At this point we're going to end up having 4000USD handhelds that will run emulated Switch games and AAA games like Howards Legacy at 4K 60fps max settings. I really don't like this trend. I personally have 3 handhelds, an old jailbroken PS Vita, an Anbernic RG351M and a Switch Lite. I can play anything I want on those handhelds and I really don't need anything else. If I want AAA PC games, that's what a PC is for. For the price of this Aokzoe A1 you can buy all the portable devices I own with all their accessories and a lot of games for the Switch Lite. That's insane.

    Quality of life ideas (Software)-
+ *Mouse + Keyboard mode* - implement a 'Xpadder' like application so the controller can be used to play PC games that do not have native controller support. i.e. can assign keyboard keys to controller button.
+ *Library front end and System controls menu integration* - have a games library front end or team up with front end devs like 'Playnite' and have plugins or integrate system controls with the front end.
e.g. can go to and from the library front end while a game is running
system controls i.e. volume, wattage, rumble, lighting etc.. are submenus in the library
have floating mini menus off all you can call up during a game, like Xbox game bar.
+ *Easier to access and understand system buttons* - In the OXP 2's case the buttons are still a little confusing.
Left bottom bottom button = 'Desktop' button
Right bottom button = controller/mouse mode toggle button
Right bottom bottom button = light on/adjuster
Top volume buttons = keyboard & desktop mode??
The system control button is next to the volume buttons.
Couldn't they just go back to the OXP Mini Pro and also have system controls (aside from volume) all be in one place?
Left bottom bottom button = Desktop button
Right bottom button = controller/mouse toggle
Right bottom bottom button = System controls menu that has adjustable lights in the options in it as well.
System controls will also have an 'Xpadder' like option to make mouse & keyboard mode configurations.
Move the 'System control menu or 'turbo' phyical button from the top of the device down to the left bottom position and make it a game console controller 'Home key' like the Xbox, Playstation and Switch's home key buttons.
This is useful for emulators that map out the Xbox, Playstation and Switch controllers.
+ *Configurable power profiles* - When docked or power cable connected you can switch to or can have it automatically switch to pre-configured settings
    Just an example
Handheld mode - 15W, rgb lights off, 40% brightness
Desktop mode - 28W, rgb lights on, 60% brightness, 1080 external display output
Games can also be configured with under those power profile settings (If possible)
    Quality of life ideas (Hardware)
+ *backpedals to be standard* - Should be a standard on all modern controllers, especially for handheld gaming PCs to allow more gaming functionality.
    example.
Back pedals if deep enough can take over as actual pedals for racing games, while freeing up the triggers to be used like...triggers and allowing your index fingers to simultaneously use either the triggers and bumper buttons.
'Shift' & 'Ctrl' keys, Backpedal buttons can essentially become these as well as its easier to just hold or toggle while giving all other buttons on the controller a second function there by doubling all of the buttons on a controller.

I’d rather have a higher refresh rate than a resolution. I like the price is getting more competitive I do think it needs to come down further still but a gtx 1060 with controls a screen etc for $799 isn’t bad 👀 it’s getting better. That’s what we need for the handheld space. Eventually we will have a day that these are more commonplace than a niche product

Those reviews are from idiots who backed a project with no guarantee of delivery and were shocked and outraged when they realized that the tiny boutique company can't immediately pump out a perfect product for them, even though they LITERALLY PAID MONEY TO RECEIVE THE 1ST PRODUCTION RUN SAMPLES.
You were literally reading the comments of complete and utter idiots.
If you buy any, and I do mean any, of the Chinese products at retail, they are practically flawless. The internet reviews and crap are inundated with early adopters who buy early, get a massive discount for backing the initial production, and still expect FUCKING PERFECTION.
Does that sound like the group of people you should listen to when making a purchasing decision? The idiots literally gamble with their money, because indiegogo and kickstarter won't do SHIT if a Chinese company just takes the money and runs.
      Those people are morons.
GPD recently had a hitch where their bitton supplier sent them some bad buttons, they chose to swap in some other buttons from another company, but the color was slightly darker. They did this for a few units to meet their shipping deadlines for the indiegogo campaign. They switch back the color as soon as they got new buttons in.
It was literally just 2 slightly darker shoulder buttons.
People acted like GPD had tied them up and forced them to watch while their employees graped their mother to death. Some people sent death threats, a few made racial comments about them. others canceled ordered entirely, and more bitched and moaned and said "I'll never buy here again". Over 2 slightly darker buttons.
And those are the racist ignorant morons you are listening to.
