Hi Paul, have you heard of any companies working on an electric lawn/garden tractor? I remember years ago the Electrac that was offered by GE. Thanks for this channel.

Cub Cadet has one. John Deere is working on larger sub-ompact versions. Husqvarna won't. They are too busy with robotic mowers.

Yeah, Kress definitely needs to amend their sales-pitch blurb regarding charge cycles of Li-ion batteries. It was my understanding they are a German-based company, but in America, most everyone has used, and has experience with Li-ion batts - flashlights, radios, vapes, etc. - enough to know that 1K cycles is the accepted norm. I'm sure they want to keep the technology secret from their competitors as long as possible, but that won't work once the product is introduced for sale, in March.

Is the Ryobi rider water-proof? In other words, can you hose it off?

I recommend using a leaf blower to clean it off after mowing.
It is raintight so you can hose it off if you have some stuck-on grass and dirt. Don't spend a lot of time using a strong spray around the deck motors and in the battery compartment. If you are going to clean in the battery compartment - remove the batteries first.
I use a leaf blower all the time and a couple of times a season I'll spray the the areas with stuck-on dirt and grass with Scrubbing Bubbles, (a bathroom shower cleaner) wait 16 minutes and then hose it down. Scrubbing Bubbles also works very well on your gas-powered equipment - especially greasy, dirt buildup on the engine.
DO NOT use a pressure washer - even the cheap electric ones.

Paul, are there any 30" mowers that you like or recommend?

I don't like any of the 30 inch riding mowers.
      30 inch walk-behind.
      1. Toro TimeMaster. Spend the extra money and buy the key-start version. Personal Pace. It cuts a well as their recycler mowers and is just as easy to use. Plenty of power to mow, side discharge, mulch and bag. The bagger is huge but doesn't make the mower awkward.
      2. ExMark Commercial 30. Not Personal Pace but has a reinforced deck, larger fuel tank and heavy duty transmission.
      3. Toro TimeMaster battery. Three battery slots so you hold up to 30 AH of battery. It's new this spring.
      4. Greenworks Pro Battery. I haven't used one yet but it looks promising. Tractor Supply may carry it.

Look closely - it's a commercial TimeMaster. The current gas unit (ExMark 30 X) is $2599!

@@PaulSikkema Toro is releasing battery-powered commercial Turfmaster AND residential TimeMaster models in 2023. $2500 for a residential battery powered walk-behind is a hefty sum, can't imagine what the Turfmaster will be.
