@@kittehkat69 well here's the thing... in japan the japanese intro "get pokemon" is very iconic and is still used in various episodes. in fact it's most recent use was in sun and moon gotta catch'em all is iconic internationally due to how this is the song that pretty much is the reason pokemon got and became the international phenomena we know today. they're both good equally for being iconic and nostalgic but I think it can be argued gotta catch'em all is somewhat better due to as i've said is the song that is the most internationally known and has had other language covers used in other official language dubs.
I absolutely love it. This combines my love of the Japanese language and Japanese music with the nostalgia of my childhood. I used to sing along every Saturday morning. I love that Jason Paige made this for his fans. It shows that he cares about them. I hope he redoes the full song in Japanese one day. I would love to have both versions. I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with the lyrics. They stay true very closely to the original (which is very difficult for a language as different from English as Japanese), and they fit pretty well when sung.
Oretachi de (Let's protect the world) sekai mamorou (Together) you switched the translations oretachi de is together and sekai mamoru (thats the correct spelling) is Let's protect the world although your translation makes more sense in english order wise you may confuse people who dont know that if you put the translation for 1 to 2 and the translation for 2 to 1 in my opinion its okay to translate oretachi de sekai mamoru to lets protect the world together but if you translate everything the way you do i would prefer my way of course thats just my opinion though and you dont have to if you dont want to
Kaneki Actually "Mamorou" is the correct way of saying the verb "mamoru (to protect)" in this co text. Mamoru, spoken as such, is just saying "(subject) will protect," where "mamorou" means "*let's* protect." When changing a japanese verb into that form, it is called "volitional." It means "we will" or "let's do it." "Oretachi de sekai wo mamorou" means "let's protect the world together." That said, yes, "Mamoru" is the verb being used. I get the sense you're still learning, though, so I don't want to come off as attacking you or to discourage you in the future. I thought along much the same lines when I started out, so I get it. I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with the lyrics. They stay true very closely to the original (which is very difficult for a language as different from English as Japanese), and they fit pretty well when sung.

oretachi de is together and sekai mamoru (thats the correct spelling) is Let's protect the world
although your translation makes more sense in english order wise you may confuse people who dont know that if you put the translation for 1 to 2 and the translation for 2 to 1
in my opinion its okay to translate oretachi de sekai mamoru to lets protect the world together
but if you translate everything the way you do i would prefer my way
of course thats just my opinion though and you dont have to if you dont want to
Kaneki Actually "Mamorou" is the correct way of saying the verb "mamoru (to protect)" in this co text. Mamoru, spoken as such, is just saying "(subject) will protect," where "mamorou" means "*let's* protect." When changing a japanese verb into that form, it is called "volitional." It means "we will" or "let's do it."
"Oretachi de sekai wo mamorou" means "let's protect the world together."
That said, yes, "Mamoru" is the verb being used. I get the sense you're still learning, though, so I don't want to come off as attacking you or to discourage you in the future. I thought along much the same lines when I started out, so I get it.
