While a lot of these cards got changed but still made it into the final release, the only card that got completely removed is the nurse zombie. I just think that's interesting.

Set 2 was about conjuring cards into your hand and set 3 is about replacing those cards to make your cards stronger.

cob cannon was one of those plants I don't use in pvz 1, but I will probably use it here once it comes
If you're playing grass knuckles and you put umbrella leaf inside of a force field, and you put Soul patch in force field, you'd be virtually indestructible. I also see huge potential with doubled mint and captain cucumber in this scenario.

John Robson Primal peashooter is actually a 1 cost 2/2 and when a zombie gets damaged bounce that zombie, and he is an uncommon
And primal wall nut is a 3/6 and it is untrickable and when played draw a card and it is a super rare.

At 34:13, I don't think he realizes how good Stone Garg is. Literally at the end of *every turn* it heals *every garg back to full health and full attack*.... Does anyone else understand how OP that is?

I like how it seems like the new legendaries are geared a little more toward specific deck archetypes and not just OP autoincludes like some of the set 2 legendaries (I'm looking at you Space Cowboy and Intergalactic warlord). You shouldn't feel like you NEED four copies of certain ones to play top tier meta decks.

You don't need two Force Fields, just have one and play both Umbrella Leaf and Soul Patch in the same lane. Though, 1000-Year Cheesemonger and Celestial Custodian will have no problem at all removing those cards.

some of the event cards look Halloween themed like witch hazel and fraidy cat so I'm guessing this update will come out during october

Let me just put my prediction out there: Jurassic Fossilhead is going to BREAK THE GAME. Why? From the moment I saw it as a TWOCOST ZOMBIE. First, it's Untrickable. No hard removal there. Next, it's a potential 5/6 ON TURN FLIPPIN' TWO. How in the world are Plants supposed to deal with that? Combine it with Going Viral, Possessed or Area 22, and it's pretty much Game Over on Turn 3. #Set3ConcedeButtons

What do they mean by play it "on" a plant? Does that mean that playing the card on a plant will make the original plant become the new plant (evolution)? Or will it be like a team-up thing? Or something else?
TRISCUIT I think you will be able to stack it on the plant or zombie to "evolve" and get the card you set upon

Bit underwhelmed by most of the cards.
Primal Sunflower looks solid. It would be fun to try a ramp/aggro flower deck.
Gloomshroom looks very good. A very solid finisher for mushrooms decks. May replace Sour Grapes.
Umbrella leaf looks a bit too good (too much health).
Split pea looks decent by itself (potentially a killer with the right set up).
Lima-Pleurodon looks amazing.
Grave mistake is solid.
Go-nuts is solid (love the animation).
Fraidy Cat looks solid.
Wilting away looks really good. Along with primordial ooze suddenly Beastie class the best hard removal.
1000 year cheesemonger looks decent.
Ancient Vimpire looks fairly good.
Brontosaurus rider looks very good.
Zomblob looks amazing.
Lizard Zombie looks solid.
4 armed bandit looks really good.
Zombie middle manager looks decent.
Jurassic Fossilhead looks really good (potentially amazing if there's enough professional synergy).
Zombie Nurse looks solid.
Barrel of Barrels looks really good.
The other cards seem subpar as they currently stand. Some of the legendaries in particular don't seem that viable.
Glad to see they are pushing some new synergies. Pet decks definitely need some help. Team up decks looks possibly viable. Maybe professional decks. I wanted to see some mustache synergy, but oh well. I am a bit surprised we aren't seeing more flower, imp, and berry synergy.
New Abilities
Evolution: Meh. I agree with Fry that in most decks finding something to overwrite will be easier said than done. Guess it makes Mushroom Grotto even better. A lot of the minions with evolution don't seem priced well.
Untrickable: I want to see if "untrickable" means they are immune from global tricks. For example, in MtG global spells still affect minions that cannot be targeted by spells. If minions that are untrickable can dodge tricks like weedspray and chickening then this is a substantial nerf to zombies. Hard to say since PopCap is very imprecise in their textual wording.
I am disappointed that we didn't see some tools to deal with the current toxic Plant meta. Hopefully, they address it with nerfs and/or event cards before Set 3 anyways.

After this set comes out I can't imagine not playing as sneaky hearty, I guess set 3 will make neptuna the undisputed best zombie hero

Still hoping for good card draw for the solar class. I don't get why the ramping class of the zombies (aka brainy) has some of the best card draw in the game while the ramping class of the plants (solar) has some of the worst.

Fry Mega-Grow is weaker now cause all classes have at least one card that grows on its own. Tricarrotops, Jelly Bean, Ketchup Mechanic, and Mesozoic Magnolia for example

The best strategy with zomblob. Medulla nebula on turn 2, turn 3, 1 cost card on medulla nebula, zomblob on 1 cost, boom. Octo on turn 3. Only works with immorticia though
