ABOUT ME
I am 25 years old. I was born in Poland and grew up in the UK. I am married to Maciej with whom I vlog on a separate channel Maciej and Monika. I have also lived in places such as Paris and Norway in the past but now I live back in the UK.
Why fragrances? I have always been very sensitive to smells. I remember being 6 years old and going on a fishing trip with my family. After catching fish I could smell fish oil on my hands for days but no one believed me. Wherever I lived I always spent hours in my local fragrance shop and got to know many amazing fragrances. Now I am sharing my passion for fragrances on RUclips. I hope I can bring you value by introducing you to new fragrances and hopefully someday interviewing perfumers and giving you an insight into the perfume industry. My dream perfumer to interview is Frederic Malle, just putting it out there :)

This is like watching an ASMR video and a fragrance review at the same time.
I legit thought it was ASMR at first!
Since I bought it in the second week in January this has been my signature office scent.
It's classy, fresh, woody, dry, a little sweet but undeniably masculine. It doesn't scream off your skin as Sauvage but does project in a more intimate office friendly way, lasts all day long and women like it. People who say it has bad performance is due to ISO-E Super, which can make people go nose blind easily.
So far every female RUclips reviewer says it's fantastic, which is the same feedback I've got from my female coworkers.

This is the best out of the whole line in my opinion..... it's a great combination of masculine and sensual, without being at all feminine..... I'm so glad the got rid of that lipstick vibe... I don't wear unisex or feminine fragrances, I do appreciate them, but not for me, I much prefer masculine or aquatic frags........ and just a little compliment, you are such a pleasure to watch and listen to... ⚘
FINALLY someone in the fragrance community who got Dior Homme 2020 correct and didn`t complain over the difference with the old Dior Homme. I just got it today and based on the vast majority of the YT community I was expecting to hate it. I love the old Dior Homme but was shocked that I like this even more. Excellent review and as I said before you are the ONLY reviewer I have seen that got this one right.
Both Monika & Sarah from Glam Finds! both got excellent reviews on this. I own this and confidently sport this. It does get compliments and all my female coworkers and a few random strangers. Its modern masculine yet very office and casual friendly. Its got it’s own personality. Its the quiet, intriguing and mysterious older cousin of the Dior Homme brothers.
A Lot Of Reviewers Talk Down On This Fragrance. I Smelled It For The First Time Yesterday & I LOVED It!!!... Reviewers Need To Stop Holding It Up To The Previous Dior Hommes & Appreciate It As A Stand Alone Scent!... Great Review Once Again!!!
2:45 my thoughts exactly! It smells like Dior Sauvage without the metallic accord. I really liked the drydown.
I’m a fan of the Dior Homme line . I have Dior Homme cologne, DHI and x3 bottles of the DHP . I had no interest in Dior Homme 2020 but I was in John Lewis and they had a tester bottle . To be honest the hate is quite unjustified , it’s a pleasant smell and on my skin I was getting whiffs 8+ hours after application .
I grabbed a bottle cheap on eBay , it’s a good time due to people selling it off due to the bad reports .
I agree the hate is so unjustified! It smells amazing! and LOVED by the ladies. Dior should have just named it something else IMO.

All true! I had the same reaction since I smell it. I think it is much better than the previous if I had to compare them. Manly fresh, slightly woody and sweet and suitable in every occasion! Bravo Dior!
Dior Homme 2020 smells elegant and woodsy whereas Sauvage is mostly fresh and citrusy. I think they are quite different. Dior Homme 2020 still smells a little lip-sticky which is not necessarily a bad thing.
Yes totally agree most reviewers just bashing this compared with OG but the fragrance on his own stand is a very nice pleasant one
I just bought this the other day for my birthday and I really love it. I needed something for everyday because I ran out of my Dior Sauvage and I wanted to move on from Dior Sauvage as my everyday scent and I wanted something new and this was the perfect replacement for Dior Sauvage. I have fragrances for other situations but I need something for everyday which is my most important fragrance in my collection at least one of them. It is really nice and fresh, clean you name it. It does project off my skin people could really smell it, I had to adjust to how many sprays I use
I just bought this and I really like it....I've never tried the original because I'm just not into a lipstick smell. I've got a lot of fragrances but it smells different from anything else I have...this would be a perfect office scent and this summer I'll be wearing it a lot I think....This is what a grown-up would wear instead of Savage, Thanks for having a real unbiased review!

I just ordered a 2011 bottle of Dior Homme 2011.
For a long time I wasn't the biggest fan of Dior Homme, but now that I am in my 40s, I have a feeling that I am getting ready for it.

@@chrissf6719 I actually like Dior Homme, but I have only smelled the 2020 version in stores and from a small sample I had. Frankly the 2020 version seems super generic and frankly boring to me.
Probably going to be similar also to sauvage where it gets hated at first but then years later everyone is panic buying about a reformulation. 😂

The comparison with Dior Sauvage is so accurate. I smelled this fragrance yesterday and I was blown away! Nothing in my collection of about 100 fragrances smells like that! However, the first thing that came to mind was Dior Sauvage that is a much more refined and smooth!
The longevity on my skin was just great! Overall, I personally enjoy it better than the original Dior Homme. Well done Dior!

Very classy and sophisticated yet subtle. Not overdone. This and Dior homme sport 2017 are my go to when I get bored of Sauvage
I am on my second bottle. I love wearing to the office and yes the gym. It smells awesome.
I buy fragrances based off scent, quality and longevity. I don't get hyped over branding. Many people get hung up on names.

I think it's more like chanel bleu than sauvage. I understand why people are disappointed because I love iris. But you get that with dior intense. I think this is incredle. I find bleu a bit to youthful and shower gel like. The woods give this a more mature and classic take. Outstanding in my opinion. I'd but both 2020 and intense
It was received on Monday - directly from Dior. Their packaging/presentation/freighting was excellent. Not only was the response well and professionally done. On top of Homme parfum as purchased, there were also EXTRAS that they added into the package. Am confident to purchase again from them. As it was a pleasure. Now to have my nose smell and '' work '' with the smell.

Monika - After trying I have to agree with you, this is nice and will sell, but with no iris or amber it's not Dior Homme, the name needs to change, this should be called along the lines of Dior Homme Man Eau Fraiche, it's like a cross between Dior Homme Cologne (2013) and Dior Homme Sport (2017). With the lack of the iris note, it just makes it easier to wear.
It looks like LVMH has done an inexpensive reformulation but still charging the same price (because they can), and the sales assistant said they had been told DHI would be next possibly by this summer or the end of 2020.

If they take this one and add Iris back in, I think I would be so happy. Because I do overall really like the 202 Dior Homme. The issue for me, is I use Dior Homme as a base fragrance that I like to layer another fragrance on top of so I can get a slight twist while still maintaining the Dior Homme DNA. So, by getting rid of the Iris, that's getting rid of what makes it special and detrimental to my collection. So, hopefully they still sell Dior Homme Original alongside Dior Homme 2020. This way, I don't ha e to worry about buying more back up bottles.. I do already have one.
I call it "Bleu De Dior". It seems to want to do the same thing, but I don't think it's as good at doing it. I have a sample of it that I've been wearing for a few days. I have Bleu De Chanel EDT, Dior Sauvage EDT, and I like them both over this. I like Dior Homme Sport '21 much better as well.
I don't know what all the fuss is about.. I can smell the Iris.. maybe it's just me. But the intense can be a bit overwhelming..still nice but this seems to hit just right..and thanks for turning me on to ence noir extreme..I watched your review and blind bought it..one of my favorites..Thanks
Yeh, Dior Homme 2020 is so good, its much more masculine than the OG with its absence of iris.
My gf & other ladies prefer it on me over the OG.

I really like the new Dior Homme. The concept is a «new masculinity» and therefore distinguish itself from the the metrosexual vibe in the previous homme releases. However, I do not think its similar to Sauvage. Maybe more similar to BdC. Sauvage is a very loud and synthetic scent. Dior Homme is very subtle and smooth, almost as a ecsentric molecule release with a classic masculine vibe. Furthermore, not all Dior Homne are similar. We have Dior homme sport and Dior homme cologne without iris too. Im glad we got something new, and not another iris scent.

Sympalogy I do not care about compliments, but yes I got positive feedback at work. I like that Homme 2020 is so smooth and not a loud scent. Its a perfect uncomplicated masculine work scent.
Hi Monika. I have a question. I have watched this review and your review on Gisada Ambassador. I enjoyed them both. I am trying to decide between this (Dior Homme 2020) and Ambassador as my next spring/summer. Which one do you like better if you had to pick?
I think they should have named it something else besides Dior Home since it smells nothing like the other fragrances in the line. Thanks for your take on it though.

It actually does smell more similar to Sauvage than Dior Homme. Unfortunately, it lacks Sauvage performance.

Sebastian Horanse czasami dobrze mieć perfumy które nie tylko Tobie się podobają ale i też otoczeniu. Właśnie takie są nowe Dior Homme. Podejrzewam, że większość kobiet jeśli chodzi o sam zapach wybrałyby nowego Diora niż wszystkie inne zapachy zoologist 😂

To me it is quite similar to molecule 01, with some more brightness and spiciness. To me it's not a bad fragrance, but it is totally uninteresting... if this is how Dior sees his men's sognature, it's not for me at all. Even as an easy-reach, I have a lot more choices that works better on me.
I smell a lot of iso-e super in the drydown and that is a very pleasant smell but maybe a bit common.
I love this fragrance, in my nose it's smells similar to a newly ironed clothes 😅

I'm sorry but no. This doesn't remotely smell anything like dior sauvage. It smells closer to bleu de chanel. Lol this comparison of yours will now create some skepticism in my mind for future comparisons that you make.

I love this fragrance. I think it just isn’t well received as it’s under the Dior Homme name. They should have called it something else and I honestly think this would have been very well received, seriously bad marketing on Dior’s part. I’m glad they’re releasing Dior Homme Original 2021 but it sucks it isn’t available in North America (yet).
I don't mean to offend your honest intentions but you are constantly reviewing fragrances without presenting a bottle or even a sample. I mean how can you understand a fragrance if you don't spend some days with it?
It’s understandable but I am everyday in a city centre where I can spray it on me and write notes. I usually spend 3-5 days with a fragrance on my skin and on the day of the review I spray it on the card to also remind myself of everything 😀 I can’t keep up with buying all of these

I'm conflicted with Dior Homme 2020 because it's so different from Dior Homme and I question why they went with the same name, but then I feel it may sell well because it no longer has the lipsticky iris aspect that turned off some men. And then I'm just confused because Dior Homme Intense 2020 smells more like Dior Homme Intense. Whaaa??? 🙄

Dior Homme 2020 is a safe and mass appealing fragrance that will get you a lot of complaints. Fragrance snobs need to check themselves for giving DH2020 a bad ratings, because I get a lot of compliments wearing this fragrance.
Everybody agrees here in France that it's strange to call a totally new perfume Dior Homme. When you sell honey, it should taste like honey. You can't wake up one morning and start selling vinegar in the same bottle and call it honey. You simply cannot brutally take a 360° turn when thousands expect you to keep one direction. Perfume generally works like that. Cheers.

Very nice review but let's be really honest.... the fragrance has been done over and over, nothing groundbreaking at all. In my opinion I think the fragrance is BORING 😴 save your money and get the 2020 intense version this is a lot more satisfying.

Thanks for this review Monika. It’s refreshing and balanced after the many negative reviews on 20/20. I empathise with those who have a sense of ownership and are upset with Dior’s decision to take the line in another direction. I believe the intense version is still going to along the original lines so that one will appease the old faithfuls. For me who is fairly new to collecting fragrance new directions are interesting as I have no emotional connection with established favourites that I may not have smelled anyway. So they are all new scents to me. So the new lines are more attractive as they offer new fragrance which is of quality but not as familiar and well known by everybody yet. The new aqua Di gio flanker has the same attraction for me as well. I look forward to smelling them both soon. Thanks again, love the channel you and magic r rocking! Big lv mark x
