On the Mardi Gras in 2022, we booked the cabana for the week and absolutely loved it. Like the fact that you have a private area all to yourself, you have two lounge chairs that are on the Astroturf in front of the comfy couch part of the cabana as well as two Jack chairs directly in front of your cabana. This was absolutely amazing. You could leave your stuff there, your towel, or whatever on the chair, and you didn’t have to worry that someone was going to move it or complain that you were hogging a deck chair all day long. The fact that they would bring you lunch from wherever you wanted on the ship was great, the free frozen refresher, nonalcoholic beverages, a nice bonus, as well as of course the six bottles of water and the sparkling wine that you got each day. Overall for us it was a great value add and have it booked actually for our celebration cruise coming up and then will book it for Jubilee when we sell on her in 2024.
I appreciate how much you guys look at accessibility issues. I’m fortunate that I don’t have to worry about such (currently) but definitely feel it’s so important. I had to lol at the gray tile floor vs. neon venue…I hadn’t noticed but now cannot unsee it! 😵💫😂
Thanks Kendra for watching and sharing your thoughts! We care for all our community which includes multiple people with accessibility needs. Cruising should be for all, so we always want it yo be known when we find issues where it is not for all. 👍🏽
Sorry for pointing out the gray tile floors! 😂 it is hard to unsee 😅
Thank you guys for such great review. It definitely give me an insight of what to expect. I have to say you guys have done the best review so far. Stay safe!
Thanks for watching and commenting your kind thoughts!! 🤗🥳
These kind of reviews are always tricky and I was very impressed at how you kept it "real" without being overly negative. Thanks for the review; looking forward to sailing on her on MONDAY!! Hopefully the elevators will be fixed by then!!
We hope you have a wonderful cruise!! 🥳🤗
Another well done review! You guys keep us looking forward to our upcoming cruises. We have 4 booked for 2023.
Thanks Jack!! Those are some great cruises to look forward to! 🥳🚢
Great review guys. Hope by July 2023 that Carnival will have these issues resolved. My wife and I are booked and can’t wait. It’s been 8 years since our last cruise and looking forward to cruising again. Thanks guys!👋🏾
Thanks Bryan!!! We hope issues resolve before then too! 🥳
You both are just a breath of fresh air. Thanks for this video. I’ll be on the Celebration next week and can’t wait! I’ll keep these tips in mind.
Thanks for watching!! We believe you will have an awesome cruise 🥳
I made a couple longer comments that I hope you read.
Thank you so much for this review. We are on the US inaugural sailing next week and this helps so much to set our expectations. I'm so excited about this Cruise. Great vlog you guys!!
Thanks Laura! We hope you enjoy your cruise!! 🥳
Another fantastic review…you guys keep me excited for my upcoming cruise in December 19th. Thanks again for your good and bad review.
Thanks for watching and commenting your thoughts!! Have an awesome cruise! 🥳
Thanks for another great review . Have a.Happy Thanksgiving
Thanks Arlene! You as well! 🤗
Great review guys. Thanks! Rob
Thanks Rob!! 🤗
Thank you both for the plethora of information. Have fun and stay safe. Hopefully the elevators will be up to par by the time hubby and I get on in January.
Thanks for watching! We hope so too! 😅
Great video guys. Enjoy your cruise. Hope the weather gets better lol
Thanks William! It’s already looking sunnier 🥳
❤❤❤ you know I love that you guys take your time to think about accessibility for those of us in the disability community!!
Cruising is for all - we ❤️ all our community
thank you for providing a honest review, so many other cruise channels do not!
You can always rely on us to provide honest reviews 👍🏽 ☺️
We cruised on the Mardi Gras in the Excel Aft Suite and it had complimentary access to Loft 19 for Excel guests. Cabanas were not included but we found the area never crowded because only Excel guests had access or you had to pay the extra $500 a day to have a cabana with access. We thought it was nice.
Love it! ❤
….waiting on the next. 🎉
Thanks David!! More coming soon 😉
Have to say thanks once again for looking out for the disabled community. I can do stairs now but a few years ago I was in a wheelchair and walker. I know how hard things can be for people with disabilities. ❤
Thanks Nicole for sharing your thoughts and experiences with us all! We want to ensure cruising is as accessible as possible for all! 🥳
Hello Jordan. Hello Jared. We haven't sailed Carnival yet, but you guys are making it so tempting!! Hey Jordan... did I see Ben (Ben & David) photo bomb your ship tour?? Haha!!! You guys are FABULOUS!!!
Thanks Nelson! Yes! Ben was also filming at the time we were doing our ship tour and we caught him in frame ☺️
Really hope they get those elevators figured out. With a large ship like this, they sure come in handy. Makes me glad i booked deck 5 so that i am close to venues. ❤️
Us too!! They have been so worrisome that people are taking the stairs up and down 10 decks just to ensure they don’t have a problem 😅
Thanks for this! I am going in early January
Thanks for watching Amanda! Have an awesome cruise in January! 🥳
I wouldn't pay $500 for a cabana. That's more than I paid for my next cruise and it's 11 days!
We couldn’t believe the pricing ourselves 😅
where did you plan your cruise that its less than the $550
Thanks for the great review, after watching videos of the ship i agree with you! There are a few areas that have flaws. Loft 19 is nice, but not in our budget to spend $500.00 Enjoy the rest of your cruise.
Thanks Laurie! 🥳
J and J you are the best cruise channel on you tube. My sister and I are taking an Alaskan cruise in May of 23. I sent her your Alaskan cruise video. She loved it. We’re going Carnival for a maiden voyage on a new ship. I forget the name. ❤
That’s awesome!! Have a wonderful maiden voyage! 🥳
At the seafood shack, try the grilled shrimp by the pound, well worth the charge, add a salad from buffet, very light and enjoyable.
Thanks for the tips!
I enjoyed your review. My daughter and I will be going on the ship Nov. 27th. We are on deck 5 in a square cabin like yours. Spa cabin, so we can shower at the spa. I believe on our cruise its 1700 for the week for the cabanas. No we would never pay that! Thanks again, its been fun watching you two grow your channel
Thanks Mary Jo for watching and sharing your thoughts!! Have an awesome cruise on Celebration!! 🥳
Thanks for the open, honest, and overall positive review. We are booked on a Celebration cruise in November 2023. We sailed on the Mardi Gras in September this year and thought it to be a wonderful ship. No ship is perfect...there has never been one. But the Excel ship concept elevates Carnival. So, we have one observation about elevators and a question about the bars. First, we had zero problems with the elevators on the Mardi Gras...we ALWAYS used the elevators in the rear or forward parts of the ship and avoided the mid-ship elevators and never had long waits. But elevator failures we never saw so hopefuly that can be fixed. Now, about the bars. On the Mardi Gras we loved the Fortune Teller bar.....the weird cocktails were absolutely some of the best we've had on over nearly 20 cruises. Do any of the Celebration bars serve those kind of strange, but delicious cocktails?
Thanks for watching and commenting your thoughts and questions! Latitudes serves some unique drinks from around the world. Sakura is the new fortune teller ball cocktail. Also, Golden Jubilee has some craft cocktails from Carnival’s past and some new ones as well!
Thanks!@@JJCruise
I've been waiting for a review from you. You always give such great information. We are going on the Celebration for Halloween 2023. We have never been on a mega ship so all this is great information. I live listening to you! Hope your weather improves! Where are you headed once you get to Miami? Is there a stop in NYC? Have an amazing rest of your cruise!!
Thanks Kryss! We are heading to Thanksgiving with the family in Nebraska. 🥳
Loved how honest you are about the ship,it bothers me that people who love Carnival can never find anything wrong with the ships.
I so agree with you, they don't like if anyone complains about a ship! Glad I'm not the only one that has noticed this.
I only cruise carnival...love them! But believe me I am not one of those passengers that think they are perfect.... I honestly hate they changed pirate pizza!
Great review with lots of interesting topics. Reverse ball caps look scuff.😄
Thanks for watching! 🥳
I'm so excited 🤩 to get on this ship as soon as y'all get back to Miami
She’s a great ship!
I’ll be on the sailing that begins on 12/27/22 - it’s going to be my first cruise and I’m so excited!
That’s so exciting!! Have a wonderful cruise! 🥳
@@JJCruise Thank you! 🙂
I’ve been watching all the videos about the Celebration that so can find. Looks like it’s going to be a blast!
Great overall review, thank you. We'll be sailing on this ship on Jan 22 and hope that the elevator issues are handled by that time. I would definitely NOT pay $500/day for a top deck experience. That's why we always sail in balcony staterooms.
Thanks Gricel for watching!! We hope they figure the elevators out soon too!
Great vlog guys. I appreciate your unique assessments, points of view and comments. If you have a sense of humor and you miss the comedy show go pass the customer service area and listen in for a bit. You'll get a little bit of comic relief there...... lol🤣
😂 oh we bet!!
Thanks for watching! 🥳
Loved the vlog! Very informative! How was the storage in your room?
Thanks for watching! Full Room Tour here:
ruclips.net/video/auMrue_8TCY/видео.html
Thanks guys, we board her on Monday, can't wait
So exciting!! Full review coming soon! 😉
Great review!
Perhaps the flooring in 820 Biscayne originally was going to have appropriate colored floors but due to supply issues they had to use whatever they could get their hands on. Just a thought...
Possibly 😅
Great info! We sail on The Celebration January 8th!
So soon!! 🥳
What you guys said about the late night food options are correct. They use to have small food options 😕 back in the day. For some reason they have scaled back extensively, so much so that the lines for pizza was disgraceful. I have cruised Carnival for years, their cutbacks for nightly food option whether you request them in the room or go out to get something small truly needs to be addressed. Staffing is probably the issue but they needs to consider keeping the ice cream, cookies, deserts, pastries, or sandwiches. Something. If not I will plan to get snacks while in port. Now you know! Thanks for passing on such valuable information that you always do.
Late night food is essential on cruises! We completely understand.
Thanks for watching and commenting your thoughts! 🤗
I'm on board and the elevators were a nightmare for days. Seems to be improvement 🤞. Had to laugh at your assessment of the flooring. At first sight I thought the floors and elevator areas looked like a shopping mall or office building. The buffet reminds me of a 1990s Vegas casino remodel. In general, decor is not the ship's strong point.
Thanks for watching and commenting your thoughts!! We completely see what you are saying with the buffet too.😅
Hey guys, just subscribed. Watched ALL your Carnival Celebration reviews, thanks for the wealth of INFO. Were booked for Oct 2023 and can't wait to see Celebration in person. We usually sail on Royal Ships, 1st Carnival ship in nearly 26 years. Did we make the right decision to sail and try something new. Everyone says this ship is a game changer, Your thoughts are welcome.
We think Celebration and Mardi Gras are Game Changers for Carnival and worth the try for someone who loves Royal Caribbean. That said, it is still a Carnival Cruise with a focus on being the FUN ship. Lots of activities, lots of shows and comedy, less focus on food but overall good time!
Thank you for this! We booked our honeymoon on this ship!
Thanks for watching Shanice! 🥳
Love your reviews but I always feel like Jared is looking at me andJordan is looking at someplace off to my right. Are you using two cameras?
Enjoy the rest of your cruise!
Hi Guys, will you put any other videos out on your recent celebrity eclipse cruise ? Going on it soon and would love to see a review.
Hey Thomas, we will be doing our Eclipse Ship Tour after we get off Celebration. Unfortunately, Wi-Fi upload speeds on Eclipse were too slow for us to upload so we have to edit and upload after Celebration. ☺️
In May I was on the Mardi Gras with those small elevators. On debarkation we were very tight in the elevator and no mask. The next day my son tested positive for COVID and my wife and I the day after that. Those elevators are horribly small.
We are so sorry you got Covid! They are terrible elevators. 😌
I cruise on the Celebration May 2023... can't wait it's been 3 yrs since I cruised! I'm on deck 11. I hate they changed pirate pizza!
Thanks for watching!! We hope you have an awesome cruise! 🥳
I have never sailed on Carnival so thank you for your honest opinions. I may try them. I have only sailed on RCCL and Celebrity. Have you sailed on Celebrity? If not, you should. I would love to hear what you think.
Hi Karen! We love Celebrity and have been on over half of Celebrity’s ships. We have all of the Edge Class and parts of the Millennium and Solstice Class Ship Tours on our channel as well.
If you love and can afford Celebrity, we wouldn’t advise trying Carnival at this point as Celebrity is a Premium Cruise Line whereas Carnival is a mainstream cruise line (more entry level cruise line). Just our two cents!
I’m sailing on it January 29th. Are the drinks at Latitudes still within price range of the Cheers package? I’m excited about all of the additional included dinner venues.
Yes! Most are $11 or $11:50 from what we saw. Full menu is in our highlights on Insta @cruisewitjjj
JJ CRUISE Hello 👋.
I haven't seen you on Board The Celebration yet, but we're ALL together for the next 8 days and I hope to see you. I'm so excited 😊
Looking forward to your review 😀
The Kat is Traveling 💯⚘️
Hey Kat!! Hope to see you!
Say hi if you see us around 🥳
Sailing on Celebration February 26 another great video guys , good tips look forward for more videos 😊
Thanks Chris for watching and sharing your thoughts! 🥳
I am so sorry for my post to your prior review of the cabin. I had an awful day and Carnival has always been my choice tor cruising. I apologize for taking it out on you. I have deleted the post. Your review is accurate and I have been watching you both since the start. Please accept my apologies.
No worries! We completely understand!
Thanks for watching 🤗
..... Booking decision for Wife's 40th Birthday (in two months) lies in your hands... Carnival Celebration or VV Valiant Lady??? (Jeopardy music playing now)
Side note: We just came off a back to back on the Scarlet Lady and because your other videos were so well done and on point. Had a great time like you said. :)
You’ll have an Awesome 40th on either cruise! If you’ve never done Carnival before, VV may be best for guaranteed good times since it’s already familiar to you.
But, if you’ve done Carnival before and like Carnival too, you will love Celebration as she is truly Carnival’s best ship!
@@JJCruise Celebration it is then :)
Noting... all those extra restaurants will cost extra after this maiden voyage :)
I board Sunday in Miami! I paid $2000 for a balcony room 2 weeks ago! Got lucky
That’s great! Have a blast on your cruise!
EXCITED to watch! I’ll be on the 12/4 sailing!
Let us know your thoughts!
So will I!!!🎉
@@JJCruise My Husband and I are both platinum with Carnival. With that being said we appreciate all your pros and cons! Here are OUR thoughts….
1)Our bathroom on the MG was horribly small. My Husband said numerous times he couldn’t imagine a very heavy person trying to use the bathroom. With that being said if you think it’s a wee bit smaller now, that’s a problem. Ugh.
2)The deck 7 walk thru in the theatre was a terrible design flaw. As well as having to walk through the casino! Agree for sure!
3)I’m glad the comedy club is larger. We were on the MG twice and both times we never saw a comedy show. We didn’t want to deal with the wait, the crowds, holding seats, etc. Hope it’s better!
4)I agree about having healthy food options. I did really enjoy the salad bar on serenity and I’m looking forward to it again.
5)Great suggestion about opening up a 2nd venue as a piano bar at night. Another tight congested place!
Great review. Can’t wait to see the next before we board!
Thanks Kristine for watching and providing us your thoughts! 🤗🥳
Sounds like mostly the same problems as the mardi Gras . Great review!
Thanks Troy for watching! 🥳
So I'm booked on the Celebration! What would you honestly tell someone who has not booked yet. As Toss up a between Celebration or mardi gras?
We loved both ships and you can’t go wrong either way! That said, Celebration is the newest and thus the best of Carnival for upcoming Entertainment and focus for best service.
Thus, we’d say Celebration is best of the two but please note that in contrast to Mardi Gras, not all shows are ready yet and some kinks are still being worked out.
Would you guys consider saying, " What you didn't like, instead of saying what is bad". Those ship builders, wielders, electricians, carpenters, etc.., tried their hardest to create a great structure for what the company required of them to delight their guest.
Whoever decided $500 was an appropriate charge for the retreat is way out of touch with the average Carnival cruiser. Carnival's big selling point is its low price. Expect a greatly reduced pricing soon! and about that blah gray floor in the Bisayne area - you are so right, hot pink would punch it up and give a much more tropcal vibe!
Thanks Juanita for watching and sharing your thoughts! 🥳
They are all sold out for our entire 8 daycruise in January, as long as ppl have those obc theycan afford it.
Please update on elevators
I’m on the 11-21 sailing and I hate elevators anyways.
Guests service is in a much better place now, it used to be in the atrium way to much noise there.
Hi there, how you’ll been?
Im trying to book a trip on the celebration next summer, do you think alot of the flaws about the ship should be fixed by then?
We don’t believe Celebration Central will be any better, but hopefully food/service in MDR will get better. 👍🏽
@@JJCruise perfect
@@JJCruise we weren’t gonna go to any shows anyways lol
I wouldn't pay $500 but that's probably the point to drive exclusivity. Group of four paying $125 pp could find value for a nice relaxing Sea Day.
That is possible, we will have to wait to see ☺️
Did you not go to the serenity deck for lighter fare?
There are limited options but yes we have seen the lighter fare at Serenity. ☺️
I wonder why they don't put JiJi's Asain restaurant on any of these new ships. If I remember right you guys raved about it and it is one of my favorite restaurants of any on Carnival ,so it doesn't make any sense they have abandoned it for the future.
We also wish they would put Jiji’s onboard! That said, our Chi-Bang! Meals have been good.
With loft 19 maybe if they chopped it up into say like a 3hr block and included a bottle of whiskey; I might be willing to drop $125 😅
😂 us too for that rate!
Hey guys are the elevators fixed?
Full review coming soon! Hasn’t been long enough to know 😅
If I am paying $500 a day, I am going to need someone to serve me drinks (even if it’s a limited amount), either chocolate/sweets and/or a small cheese platter with no additional costs. We already pay for the cruise itself, WiFi, drinks, etc.. Loft 19 really isn’t giving us anything we can’t get on other parts of the ship. Just go to the serenity area. And privacy? Well do we really have any privacy on the ship outside of our rooms?
agreed!
What night is lobster night?
We believe Carnival is changing it to only once a week but we had it twice on our extended 14 night sailing. 🦞
So now that you’re on day seven how has this review been modified so far?
Our full review will come post-cruise 😉
Another comment, this time for J&J. As a Carnival cruiser, and being on the Celebration August 2023, I love that I can get insight of the pros and cons before hand. I always do my homework and with RUclipsrs like yourselves, it makes it easier on my end .. and it helps me look forward to my vacation. I loved Mardi Gras so I am sure I will love Celebration too.
Thanks Destynul for watching and sharing your kind thoughts!! 🤗
I don't understand how you like the Madri Gras. It was terrible
@@buckjank Really, you didn’t like it? I was on Magic this August and THAT ship was HORRIBLE! Oh it was so bad..
@@destynul10 it felt like I was locked inside an ikea. No windows, food was so far apart, furniture was cheap looking office looking and boring af. Go on the carnival pride and you will see a real fun cruise. Real wood floor on the ledo deck. Not torn up vinyl
As far as the elevators go I can see that as a huge problem. However, I will give them a pass seeing that it is the maiden cruise. Still working on things.
We were happy to see them work on them throughout the cruise to ensure better elevators for the next cruise. 🥳
Hi everyone!
Hey Karen!
I would not pay $500 for a Loft 19 Cabana. Maybe they will end up dropping the price if they are not getting used.
We hope so! 🤞🏽
So if you just HAD to choose…. Celebration or Mardi Gras? 👀 ❤😅
Both are great ships!! Our experience has been better on Celebration but that’s comparing two Maiden Voyages 😉
@@JJCruise thanks! I think i made the right choice with booking Celebration for my first large Carnival ship. I was spoiled on the Symphony in June, but I do love the vibe on Carnival ships. ❤️
The price of Loft 19 cabins & the cabanas are ridiculous.
We agree!
No way would i pay 500 dollars a day for privacy 🤷♀️ you pay enough for the cruise as it is why oh why do you have to pay more ( or do they need the extra money 🤔)
OMG thats awful that the Elevators didn’t work 😱 yes any one that needs them are stranded more or less. Specially if they can’t use the stairs .
🙏🙏🙏🙏 its fixed very soon. Enjoy the rest of your cruise . 🥰
Thanks Gwyneth for watching and sharing your thoughts!! 🤗
Watching other creators who have interviewed some passengers , the service has been a major complaint They were saying its very slow and takes way to long.
We haven’t had that issue anywhere outside of formal night in main dining room. But, that is expected for most veteran cruisers. 😉
There are some BIG complainers onboard as well, so take some things with a grain of salt. As two cruisers who’ve been on a lot of ships within the past 1.5 years since restart, the service has not been unusual for a maiden voyage (in fact it’s been better than usual). ☺️
@@JJCruise I understand your point. I guess that’s why we avoid inaugural cruises.
Yeah, it only gets better from Maiden Voyage 😉
I just got off the Mardi Gras Nov 2022. First things first, it's too spread out, let me explain. On other carnival ships, if I want guys and the wife wants pizza, it can't happen, they are too far apart. All the food is like that. Also it's a big ship, but it just more rooms, it didn't feel much bigger then even a spirit class ship and the way there was 6 or 7 levels of room between the common spaces was terrible. For example the whole front third of the ship is rooms. You can't even get to the front part of the ship. One last thing, they talked about the floor being Grey. I'll do one better, the whole ship feels like your in an ikea. I mean the ledo deck floors are vinyl, not a drop of real wood to be found. I learned a valuable lesson, bigger ship mean more profit, not more experience.
Thanks Philip for watching and sharing your thoughts!! We appreciate your experiences! 🤗
Loft 19 -$500? No way!
$500.00 for Loft 19???? Carnival is the WalMart of cruise lines. What are they thinking?
It is definitely a Steep Price for what you get 😅
Wow what a small bathroom
Yeah it’s definitely a tight space 😅
Hello everyone.😅
Hey Laura! 🤗
Chile I wouldn’t pay $500 a day to up there in that bathtub/hot tub. Not even if they bathed me, fed me and greased my bottom 😂.
😂
Healthy options is a big issue for me. C'mon Carnival!
We definitely want more healthy choices on all menus across the ship. 👏🏽
I thought the Mardi Gras was small, this is ver tiny.
They are both rather small in comparison to most other ships 😅
Love you guys,,,, your neg comments are too picky
Just our first impressions, you can make yours too once you come aboard and see how they align! 😉
I’d never pay $500.00 for Loft 19.
We won’t be either 😅
no I wouldn't do deck 19. Not worth it.
It’s quite pricey 😅
$500 a day for a cabana with only one drink is not worth it for me.
$500 is a no go for me. I will
Sit on my balcony for free. !
Same! 👏🏽
No I wouldn't pay $500 for that deck. Yes the floor does look like your in a mall
Thanks for watching and commenting your thoughts! 🥳
It's a bathroom-- pee, poop and shower and get out
We typically do all of those things… just prefer to be comfortable when doing so 😉
It’s the first cruise 🙄🙄🙄🙄
?
And most if our comments were on how amazing the crew, food, and service are considering it’s the first cruise!
Carnival is Walmart. It is an extremely poor run cruise line. They also have the oldest fleet in the industry not withstanding the new ship.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! We do believe Celebration and Mardi Gras are game changers for Carnival but understand it’s not for everyone.
Thank You Both for your Honest Review! Hope the Issues get Resolved and Everything will go Smoothly for the Rest of your Cruise! Have a Great Time!! 😍🛳⚓️
Thanks Cheri! We are still having a great cruise overall! 🥳
Always love you reviews. Thanks for caring about accessibility for all. Can't wait to see you guys and Mary Ellen Dillon in January.
Thanks Jamie for watching!! We look forward to meeting you too! 🤗
Hi there, how you’ll been?
Hey! We are doing well! 🥳
