    Isnt it the opposite way when doing the doe and fawn contact sound? When I bite down on the rubber I have the high pitched fawn sound and when I bite down in front of the rubber I have the doe sound🤷🏼‍♂️

      Hi,
      Nice you liked the video. I normally use caliber 6,5x55 Swedish Mauser, for small to medium sized game. For Roe deer I've used Nosler Ballistic Tip 120 gr for a long time. It´s superb for this purpose.

    I'm playing the whistle, but the sound is too thick?
    please help
    how to practice

    • @RedMooseHunting
      @RedMooseHunting  5 лет назад +1

      Hi,
      Normally it is not of great importance the exact tone, even the real animals have a variation between each other. however, normally the sound is getting lower or "thicker" the the further in at the reed you put the pressure. Just small adjustments can change the tone. So even if you bite down on the reed, just move your teeth some few millimetres to change the tone.
      Hope this will help you,
      Tobias

    This video was recorded at time of heat?

    • @RedMooseHunting
      @RedMooseHunting  10 лет назад

      Hi,
      Nice to hear that you liked the videoclip. Yes, it's recorded during the rut. However, it's in the very end of the rut, we film this on the roebuck season opening in Sweden, the 16th of august, at this time many of the bucks have stopped rutting.
      I know people that have called bucks from may to october, but it works best from end of july until mid august.
      Regards,
      Tobias

      You will most probably be successful with your Nordik Roe. Remember that it works best during the rut season, normally late july until mid august. However we often hear about hunters with success on other times. My films is made during the rut.
      Best regards,
      Tobias

    hearing protection with silencer :D i use 308 with out protection when i hunt in the range its different but if you start to put protection on while hunting you can miss your opportunity

    • @RedMooseHunting
      @RedMooseHunting  5 лет назад

      There is two resons as I see it to use hearing protection. I try to do it, but many times forget to put them on. ;-)
      Reson 1.
      Even when using silencer the bang is harmful to your hearing, not as harmful as without silencer, but you are better off in the long run to use protection.
      Reson 2.
      When using active hearing protection, you can turn up the volym and hear even the slightest sound. This works best for me quiet days with little or no wind, but I have many times noticed animals far earlier than I would have not using active hearing protection. ;-)
      If it is normal inactive protection, I agree, this can lead to missed opportunities.
      Thanks for your input!
      Regards,
      Tobias

      @@RedMooseHunting yeah and active hearing protection cost just way too much

    • @RedMooseHunting
      @RedMooseHunting  5 лет назад

      @@antro1194 Yes, they are more expensive, but it is also "expensive" to get your hearing destroyed... ;-) I rather safe some money on rifle/scope etc and get some good hearing protection. Since as I see it, if you have none active protection and not using them, they are worthless...
      Stay safe!

    Too complicated to deal with in the field, not practical worrying about which elastic band you’re blowing on.

    • @RedMooseHunting
      @RedMooseHunting  6 лет назад +1

      :-) It is super-easy to deal with in the field. I've used this and the similar Clausen Roedeercall now for more than ten years. Can't be easier to use. ;-) I've sold and showed this many hundreds of hunters at game fairs and the respons is always how easy it is to use, BUT of course it takes 10-20 min of practicing and when you master it, you even do not have to move the rubber band.

      Tobias
